Not a happy bunny today - went to WI and have put on 1lb which has put me out of target:mad:. Thought I'd done enough to pull back the over indulgences of last weekend - but apparently not!

    Today's plan:

    B - strawberries after WI
L - paella (it's a mix with rice bought in France when we were on holiday and didn't get round to eating) 7 syns:eek: (for 1/3) and it wasn't even that nice. Definitely won't be buying that again
D - shepherds pie; brussels, peas

HEA - 1% milk in tea
HEB - 3 Sweet Onion Ryvita

Syns - paella 7; 3 Apericubes (French ones which are much smaller than the English equivalent) 0.5

Usually have a glass or 2 of wine on Thursday evening but will give that a miss tonight but may have a G&T for 4 syns as that will still be within syns but not decided yet, will see how I feel later.

Fantastic loss Shala - well done you!!:T:T

Think I will continue to track for a couple of weeks at least - as it helps me "remember" all the little extras that otherwise get forgotten about. Once have done it for a few weeks will hopefully be into a better routine again, so shouldn't need to record as much.

My super-quick go to lunch is the Ainsley packets of cous cous which I add chopped apple and bottled roasted peppers to make it more speedy - just need to add boiling water and wait for a few minutes.

The zero allowances on shop bought sandwiches is one of my biggest peeves about SW. I could take the exact same fillings and make it myself for free (or a few syns to account for mayo, etc) but because I bought it, it's 20+ syns. Personally I'd rather have a freshly made chicken and salad sandwich over something free but highly processed like a mugshot and mullerlight - no offence to those who like them. It's really just hypothetical annoyance as I rarely have sandwiches :rotfl: but I can see why it would put some people off the plan!

    .

Add Pasta N Sauce to that and the low fat Supernoodles and you've turn into me lol. When I started there was no getting away from Muller Lights etc. But at least they don't seem to promote them to the same extent anymore :rotfl:

    Anyway, rant over.

I agree with you june, I don't see why they're such high syn when we know lots of the ingredients are free of even Speed. Although another bugbear of mine is that so few places sell wholemeal sandwiches. It's almost always white or granary or brown which isn't as healthy as wholemeal and can't be a HEB.

 to the little gain denise. I know how you feel. I dreaded going over last week but fortunately I must have stayed away just long enough to get back into range. Angelic week coming up for you.;)

I meant to say I now have a soup maker and I find it fab.
I get three very generous portions to go in my Simesta soup mugs or 4 smaller ones.
    Can highly recommend!

I've wanted a soup maker for ages, I keep putting myself off the idea though as I'm terrible with kitchen gadgets as I tend to buy them and use them a handful of times then they get shoved in a cupboard somewhere :rotfl:

Any particular soup makers any of you would recommend which don't break the bank? I've only really heard of the Morphy Richards one ..

I'm right back on the SW wagon now :T

    Food for today:

B - marmite on toast (HEB), 3 mini babybel lights (HEA)
L - greggs tuna pasta salad (5 syns I think)
T - cottage pie with mash and broccoli

Very light on speed today, will have to remedy that with fruit & yoghurt for pud I think.

Trying to keep the syns low this week as I have a night out planned on Tuesday which will involve curry and gin :D The night before weigh in though I must be mad but really looking forward to it

    Have a nice evening everyone
  • Candyapple - I've got the Morphy Richards Saute one, so you can fry your onions and garlic and other bits first to get a bit more flavour.
