Hello, LindsayandMatthew, you’re doing really well!

Right. Today was an epic fail! When I was doing my meal plan for today I forgot I had a hospital appointment. Should have remembered because I wasn’t doing grandson run! I did have to get granddaughter from nursery at lunchtime and wait for DH to come from his bowling tie to look after her. When I got home the result of that was I grabbed the leftover macaroni cheese (8syns) for a quick lunch – I had 20 mins turnaround time. Brain clearly not working because I could have had the planned parsnip soup which would have been ready just as quickly if not more quickly! Then after my appointment I went for a cup of tea in the hospital before driving home, so, of course, I had a bit of lemon drizzle loaf to go with it. Got home and had a fun size maltesers (I had to hunt that out!) AND a packet of Wotsits. All before my lovely planned tea! I am really annoyed with myself. Stupid, stupid, stupid!
    )

Don't be beating yourself up, its actually not that bad really when you sit and think about it. You can syn the wotsits and the malteasers and try and pull back for the rest of the week.

Fab Loss Shala - that's extra motivation now that they are weighing in at work!

    Good luck Beanie!

I'm just after my Heb bread and think I'll lay off it for the rest of the week until weigh in on tuesday as I find it effects my losses too.

I'm off work tomorrow as I'm a bit stressed and need to relax, my mother may have had a stroke. Scans over the next few days and during the current situation with my father.................things are not at all easy. I'm not really sure how I am functioning right now to be honest, but seem to be just taking it all in my stride - strangely.
    Gin syns tonight. :o

I'm doing Chicken Curry with Cauliflower Rice for tea

I got weighed last night and put on half a pound!! Trying not to sulk as last weigh in was only five days ago and early morning rather than evening so really not that bad.

Consultant asked me what changes I would make - everyone was looking at me and I panicked and rabbited on about moving house in the next three weeks and being off focus. DD was next to me and had hysterical laughing fit back in the car as I was like a rabbit caught in headlights. :o

  • beanielou - I love my soupmaker! It's so easy and quick and I find it holds the heat really well so if I can't eat it straight away (baby kicking off!) I can come back to it without reheating it. Hope you enjoy using yours!

lantanna - Hope your mum is ok x

Sorry to everyone with the annoying STS's and sneaky little gains. I am expecting similar myself despite being completely on plan. I have got DH to bury my scales in the mountain of rubbish in the garage as it's stressing me out seeing the numbers flick up and down. Was showing a 1lb gain this morning but hopefully on Saturday I will have a nice surprise.

    Menu today:

    B - Overnight oats (heb)
L - Carrot and lentil soup
D - Beef stew, ff greek yoghurt, berries, meringues (2), syn free lemon curd
    S - kitkat (5.5), popcorn (4.5), laughing cow (hea), 2 x ryvita (3) clementine, banana, kiwi

Might not have all those snacks but they are the possible options!

    Vegan Sausage Verdict (frozen products)

I got around to trying some meat free sausages:
the Linda McCartney Red Onion & Rosemary Vegetarian Sausages, even though I am not a vegan, I really liked the product, they were tasty, had a fantastic texture, Wow!

The Morrisons own meat free sausages reminded me of hot dog sausages; in a weird way, the texture and taste would go a long way to substituting hot dog sausages. They were less filling and lacked taste.

I would buy the LM Sausages again!

:T that's a great loss shala. I do hope it motivates you. You can do it!!

Half a pound is probably because of the change of time elona, don't worry about it.
Is this your new time or just a one off?
What changes will you make is one of SW's standard script questions. I hate them.

Hope your mum gets good news lantanna. Hopefully the gym is helping you keep the stress under control.:)

Thanks for the heads up smedley. I've got some in the freezer waiting to try as they were £1 in Morrisons.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onion and pickles
    D: SW spaghetti Bolognese
    Syns: squirt of HP sauce

I'm going to local theatre tonight so will do my very best to stay away from interval drinks and ice cream!;) I must be good today as rearranged lunch with friend tomorrow.

What do people who work in offices etc have for lunches? Am struggling with lunch except JP's and salad. I used to take a tin of soup with me to work but now want syn free lunches. I can't stand tomatoes, which makes things difficult.
Also avoiding carbs with lunch and dinner for me seems difficult as well, I'm out the house for 12 hours a day because I commute 70 miles to work, so when I come in, I just want to flop down...

    Help!!

I have jacket potatoes or make fritatta and bring that in then heat it up and serve with a little salad or left overs most days. I keep a stock of HM syn free/very low syn soup in the freezer all portioned up too so if I have no inspiration/energy to prepare lunch I can just grab one of those.

Often I make up a big tub of salad and bring it in to work on the Tuesday (I don't work Mondays) and then add that to whatever else I bring in all week :)

Yesterday went downhill; there was lemon and raisin scotch pancakes, a packet of hula hoops and biscuits :/ scratching it off

    Today:
    Breakfast: melon and apple
mid morning: I've had a mini muffin and a choc digestive - it's the boss's birthday and there's all many of cream cakes etc flying round but that's my fill.
Lunch: salad; pasta, chicken, boiled egg, baby plum tomatoes, spinach
    snack: a large orange
tea: we are out at the pub so a small carvery.
    HeA: no idea
    HeB: equally no idea
drinks: lots of peppermint tea and NAS squash

I'm am struggling today full of cold so just trying to get through the day as I haven't had much time to prepare anything due to training last night and littlie not sleeping until late (usually do all prep the night before). I figure if I get through today and then I can make a real plan for the weekend before shopping on Monday. Though we will be having pizza etc Saturday night with Bf's youngest brother and his gf.

Looking forward to trying some of the SW meals/meats from next week (bf is away from Wednesday until Sunday night) and want to try those linda McCartney red onion and rosemary sausages if I can as they sound lush.

Body magic: will go on a long walk for my lunch break (leaving handbag at the office as I have no money anyway!

I love LMcRoRo sausages and can't wait to have them back on the menu again (I can't buy them here).

Not Nigella (on Facebook) reshapes them into rounds and uses them as burgers, an idea I'm going to try.

The zero allowances on shop bought sandwiches is one of my biggest peeves about SW. I could take the exact same fillings and make it myself for free (or a few syns to account for mayo, etc) but because I bought it, it's 20+ syns. Personally I'd rather have a freshly made chicken and salad sandwich over something free but highly processed like a mugshot and mullerlight - no offence to those who like them. It's really just hypothetical annoyance as I rarely have sandwiches :rotfl: but I can see why it would put some people off the plan!

    Anyway, rant over. Today...
    Breakfast - Weetabix and berries (0.5 A, B1)
Lunch - Salmon and beetroot salad, coffee to try and warm up! (0.5 A)
Dinner - Heck sausages, BNS and broccoli (1-2, depending on gravy)
Pudding - B2 and some more syns

I'm going off Hifi bars a bit, I think the latest batch I bought were drier than usual. But the new one (jam roly poly) comes out next week, so will give those a go and see what I think. Otherwise I think I'm going to start making things like the Weetabix brownies to get a sweet second HEB, or switch to things like dried fruits.
