lantanna - I should have expanded that I'm in no way recommending the fast food diet. I know I'd much rather have 1200 calories of healthy food over a large burger meal any day. But it was interesting that he had the best results, probably because it's easier to stick to for the average person than the silly fad ones. But essentially, weight loss is down to reducing calories, health is down to nutrition and fitness is down to exercise. And if you can do all three, you're in a pretty good place.
I agree with what your saying. Just think like everything results are different for everybody so for a larger person this sort of diet may work initially in the beginning and appear to have great results, where for a smaller person who eats reasonably healthy the results may not be so good.
I do love how these shows do generate some form of discussion on here anyway - we do get our moneys worth from them that way lol
Im working doing all 3 today and know thinking are my trainers in the car or in the living room. Fingers crossed on being in my gym bag in the car. :rotfl:0 -
No chance for a breakfast this morning so have just made myself a grilled bacon and tomato roll and a cup of tea.
Weigh in is tonight (last one was Saturday - only five days ago).
I think I have a SW ready meal for later, if not will have something light like a mushroom omelette.
Need to tidy up before someone comes to do a removal quote this afternoon. Scary to think I could be moved in less than four weeks!!"This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
Welcome lindseyandmatthew :wave:Oh my someone trumped in the queue to be weighed last night and it was absolutely rotten!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
I hope you tutted very loudly, disgusting individual
Can;t wait till Sugar Free farm is on..dieting and grouchy celebs - what can be better :j
Candyapple, fajitas are brilliant for upping speed foods as you can add loads of veg into them. I use little gem lettuce leaves as cups instead of having them in a wrap and top with salsa and cheese  hope you enjoy!
Totally agree musogirl, the reason they lost the weight wasn't the "fad" it was the calorie reduction  I'm not sure the man on the raw food diet followed it.. 11lbs in 4 months and he was a big fella! i think there was some fibbing going on!
So EE for me today
B - yogurt, strawberries, coconut flour waffle (2)
L - HM chicken & veg soup, with bulghar wheat
T - lamb hotpot (with BNS topping) cheese (0.5 hea)
S - nuts (heb) apple
I guess alongside SW i'm following a bit of a fad diet, just trying to cut out things that will spike my blood sugar to stop me getting so moody/Hangry around food. 5 days in and it's going ok so far.. after a couple of weeks i shall re-introduce some items to have occassionally i.e. crisps, chips, bread
I guess its a bit like EESP but with yogurtMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Hi everyone
Hugs to everyone who's been having a tough time, and congrats to the losers x
I spent the weekend with OH's family drinking and eating a lot more than I should. I was really worried about it being hard to get back on track and not be craving loads of unhealthy food, but my body seems to have rejected the complete lack of nutrition and I spent the whole of Monday night throwing up (sorry TMI!) and all day yesterday in bed. So I'm still feeling really delicate and I'm kind of scared to eat. I had a bowl of ice cream last night because I was starving and couldn't face anything solid and I had a bowl of overnight oats about an hour ago, but I'm going to have to go and get some lunch in a minute. So on the plus side, I might have gotten away with my incredibly unhealthy weekend, oh and I'm never having pizza from our local ever again!
That diet program on C4 is really, really annoying me. It's just really sensational (is that the word?) and token, really it's like the daily mail diet pages in a tv program, more the standard you'd expect to find on C5. That celeb sugar thing sounds more interesting though, I'll keep an eye out for that.0 -

I hate to be judgemental but I couldn't help thinking that the raw food guy's loss was a bit low. Maybe it just goes to show that any diet however sound nutritionally, needs to be doable long term in order to achieve and then maintain the losses.
Your approach doesn't sound particularly faddy to me. I think everybody needs to find the tweaks that work for them.treeny_bash wrote: »

It is sensational but it doesn't stop me from watching it!0 -
Sure I had to cut out the Chocolate Shala as I was well and truly addicted. And that addiction came from nowhere. I did have a Malteasers Reindeer last night crushed up over a muller ( 8 ) syns as my post weigh in treat. Tasted very sweet and not that great. I have a square of the 70 % most days and syn it. I really like it. Once my milk chocolate supplies are gone I'll not be buying anymore. Anything beginning with C really, Crisps, Chocolate, Cheese............the more I get of them the more I want.0

Sorry but I have to read and run, I've had SW breakfast (HEX porage) and lunch (meat, pickles, bubble& squeak). I'm out tonight with friends and how off plan I go will depend if we go Indian or the 6 chip restaurant or somewhere else. Will report back later.0

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done Musogirl on SOTW :T:T.
Doing Tracker last week seems to have helped, as reporting a 2.5lb loss for this week please.0 -
STS last week - which is disappointing as I was bang on plan. That caused me to fall off the wagon over the weekend - but I've been back on it since Monday. I really need to learn to stop sabotaging myself!
Been working from home today so my meals are all about face.
Late breakfast - 2 egg omelette with 2 rashers of bacon and about 8 cherry toms.
Lunch - Homemade chicken curry and half a pouch of rice
[STRIKE]Dinner - Will be overnight oats.[/STRIKE]
Snacks - Big fruit salad with raspberries, strawberries, grapes, banana and an orange. [STRIKE]Muller whipped (4 Syns).[/STRIKE]
Drinks - Tea and coffee. Next weigh in Saturday - hoping for a loss this time - but if not I must not sulk and eat!
Didn't have the oats or the Muller - wasn't hungry but I did have a Tassimo Cadbury Hot Chocolate drink which was 6 Syns. Lush!0
