I know! Littlie likes crumpets so they are an easy way to get breakfast in to her which doesn't include milk/cereal/porridge over my wall or dining set! They were never my thing but recently I do like the odd one warm.

I've seen those giant ones; not sure I could manage a whole one!

Prob best we don't even try right now lol :rotfl:

Unless you have any meat in your salad or pasta then that looks like a Green day to me musogirl. If so, you can have an extra HEA and B if you want.

All our SW meals are healthy!!:D

We don't have anything particularly adventurous here but just to start you off:

    • all roasts
    • lamb shanks
    • sausage and mash
    • sausage casserole
    • chicken casserole
    • chicken jambalaya
    • steak including HB braised steak
    • chilli
    • Bolognese
    • savoury mince including made into cottage pie
    • fish (we like baked haddock or cod best)
    • burgers
    • gammon (either steaks or cook your own joint)
    • stir fry
    • hash (corned beef or Austrian)
Those are the almost free ones. There are others but they have a few syns in like cauli cheese or some casseroles involving honey or sherry or red wine. We rarely had these when I was getting to target.
  • Maman - I did have chicken in my salad but thanks for picking that up! I don't think I could ever go a day without meat!

  • I love peppermint tea so I was looking in to the benefits of it; no wonder I feel so good after having it. I knew about it helping digestion but didn't know it was a natural muscle relaxant (hence it being suggested before bed) and also a natural decongestant. My sinuses do feel much better after I have some. I didn't have any over the weekend and boy did I notice!

I've just had a google of peppermint tea benefits, I only really drink it if I've stuffed myself silly as it's fab for bloating but there's loads more. It apparently fights asthma symptoms (which would be of huge benefit for me) and is supposed to stop congestion and coughing - well I wish I'd known that 2 weeks ago I might have recovered from this flu bug a little quicker :rotfl: I'm not drinking caffeine at the mo so might have to stock up on these little miracle bags :)

Maybe I ought to have a go at peppermint tea as well then...with the talk about congestion and coughing...

On top of my normal cod liver oil capsule I take daily (which I guess should be Syned - but I'm one of those who don't plan on Syning anything medical) I'm taking a garlic capsule daily as well at the moment.

When I had a minor infection recently I checked that was what it was and the doctor would prescribe me antibiotics for it and decided to take garlic capsules instead to deal with it. They did work a treat:D.

Hence back on them now at the moment because I do keep getting odd "chestiness" episodes since moving to West Wales and I suspect its because I'm used to dressing in accordance with living in a Southern city (ie basically dressed for attractiveness - not covering-up). I've got one of those episodes right now and think its down to going out in cold/loadsa wind in my "southern" clothing. So - my conclusion was "Minor infection - in the chest area this time".

I haven't yet drawn any conclusions as to how to keep dressing my usual way - but not get this "cold chest thing". I think I'd better get a selection of huge warm dressy type scarves to whip on as I go out the door and off again the second I get back indoors somewhere and hopefully I won't get this again. I shall be in the vicinity of a good scarf shop over the next few days - I can feel my debit card about to take a bashing:rotfl:. I think what I'm looking at getting is infinity scarves...

    Hi Tweets,

My boy is a Jack Russell terrier called Tug, if you've had terriers then you'd understand the name:D. He's very handsome, and has the greatest character. My youngest DS is obsessed with him I thought the novelty would have worn off by now, but no. The love goes both ways, with Tug waiting for him at the window when he is due home from school. I always wonder how dogs can do this, it's that sixth sense.

Poor chap is in quite a bit of discomfort this morning, so he's having lots of extra cuddles, and chicken and rice for tea, so quite SW!

    Thanks for your support.

    Arkers x

Hi Arkers Have I had terriers the answer is yes all 3 of my dogs . My Poppy is a Staffy and before her I had an Irish Terrier our Chloe and also had Lucy she was a Jack Russell I had Lucy from being a puppy til I lost her :(

I understand the name tug lol Poppy is always wanting to play tug but she cheats and always wants to grab rope etc nearest to your hand :D

His he the small legged JR my Lucy was and a chubby belly like her mum lol.

Your Tug sounds a right little devil I hope he pulls through and gets better.

All dogs if they in a loving family will have a sixth sense I am sure Poppy knows . She knows when its walkies and time for work bed etc. She even knows when we go my mums :).
