  • Thanks June89 and maman for the feedback on NYDJ - seems like they aren't really worth the price tag so you've saved me some money. :)

Hope your pooch is better soon Akers My almost 12 year old cat is sat curled up in front of the fire - love him to bits so understand how worried you must be about your furry boy.

Thank you to Shala for the chart and to Muso for being SOTW - well done :T

Lantanna sorry to hear about the upset with your family it sounds like your Dad is still pretty lively in his 70s! Well done on resisting the temptation to drink the wine. Your point about the problems still being there only you being fatter was just what I needed to hear today - I'm struggling a bit not to comfort eat at the moment - so thank you.

Mavers - That's exactly it, one day at the time for many at the minute. Get through one day half wisely and on to the next.

Each day is a battle but we will all get there.

But that was yesterday and today is a new day!!:D

:T to anyone managing a loss. I think part of the problem is that when you're getting to target then you're watching your weight so carefully that you notice every little gain. I'm sure everyone in the general public goes up and down a pound or two across a week but they aren't so conscious of it. I've noticed that as I only go to WI about once a month that across that time I get fat days and thin days but at WI the difference is very little if anything.

All I'd say is keep plodding on and when you get to target you'll have a 6lbs window to play with and the little fluctuations really won't matter so much. :A

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold pork, LO veg fried, beetroot
D: sausages, mash, cauli, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, peas, fried onions
Syns: scrape of spread, gravy, 2 for sausages

I'm doing masses of veg with dinner as I find a bowl of LO veg very handy in the fridge for lunches.

Such a sore tummy today, my body really hates sprouts. Had them last night.

Exactly Maman I think you are better at taking your weight over the month, which is why our challenge is good as we get an overall result at the end of it.

You know exactly how I feel then The Cheese , fun times!!

But hey we will not let these things drive us onto the bad stuff.

Sorry to hear about ur pooch Arkers, as Lois said our bodies fluctuate all the time so try not to be too disheartened, although i know it's easier said than done. It may have been the stress of your dog's op too! Stress plays havoc with some people's systems.. :rotfl:at his SW tea though, not enough speed :naughty:

    Tete  bloody bosses!

 Dragon - i'll add you to the chart! Welcome to the board... and well done on your loss so far.

 lantanna, well done for stopping yourself, but blooming heck that some evening! Families have a lot to answer for sometimes...

So EE for me today (oh actually it's a red day now i've written it down so 2 hebs :j so no syns)
B - yogurt, baked apple (heb)
L - LO chicken fajitas, lettuce wraps (hea cheese)
T - pork, roasted veg, salad
S - nuts (heb) milk (hea)

I made me own fajita mix last night, no syns as there isn't any sugar in it like the packet mixes (and cheaper) :j put a tiny bit too much chilli in :rotfl: it was really nice though, might make up a batch to keep in the cupboard.
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

Ooh what did you put in your fajita mix Shala?
  • Shala - how long is left of the current challenge?

Yesterday did not end so well thanks to two crumpets :/

    today:
breakfast: HeB was 2 slices of bread from a 400g wholemeal loaf, had with 2 eggs scrambled with a dash of water and accompanied by a peppermint tea

lunch:salad: chicken breast with baby plum tomatoes, cucumber, spinach and lettuce. Followed by a sliced apple and orange

    Afternoon snack: melon

tea: not 100% yet; not feeling 100% but I think maybe a jacket potato with beans and cheese (from HeA) plus salad whilst the other two have a quick tea of nuggets, chips and beans.

I love jacket potatoes; one of my comfort foods :) not massive ones, just fist sized or smaller :)

I love peppermint tea so I was looking in to the benefits of it; no wonder I feel so good after having it. I knew about it helping digestion but didn't know it was a natural muscle relaxant (hence it being suggested before bed) and also a natural decongestant. My sinuses do feel much better after I have some. I didn't have any over the weekend and boy did I notice!

Forgot my coat today so not sure if I can brave a walk outside!

Sounds like a lot of people are having down days at the moment, so dodgy hugs for everyone :grouphug:

    Today's plan...
Breakfast - Weetabix, berries and coffee (A,B)
Lunch - Leftover boodle (spag) bol
    Dinner - Fajita chicken

Already used 6 syns today on a tiny biscuit (nice, but not worth 6 syns!) and miscalculated my milk so had to syn a bit of it. Oh well. Less treats for pudding.

I know! Littlie likes crumpets so they are an easy way to get breakfast in to her which doesn't include milk/cereal/porridge over my wall or dining set! They were never my thing but recently I do like the odd one warm.

I've seen those giant ones; not sure I could manage a whole one!
