I know what you mean about the clothing. I had a big clearout over Christmas. I just buy new things as and when I need them, don't want to buy a whole new wardrobe until I reach my target. Bought my 1st pair of jeans for 15 years recently as well!

    Morning,

No Shala, not currently effected by the redundancies and hoping it stays that way. Who knows though, things on the whole not looking overly great. But not worrying until I have something to worry about, there just is no point.

Love the curry discussion, I love a good curry.

Was fairly good over the weekend, few little unplanned extras but nothing major. Weigh day for me tomorrow, early indications showing sts so lets hope something drops off overnight.:rotfl:

Having lots of speed today :D and going to try samphire tonight for the first time ever!

Weighed in this morning and STS It's a rubbish result for week two but I know what went wrong ("hormonal" plus guessing some syns and a big slice of homemade apple pie & custard at the weekend) so I'll put it right this week.

I'm not beating myself up over it but when I entered my weight (online) I saw what a missed opportunity it was not to have lost this week so I'm determined to do better at my next weigh in.
    week.

    Well done Abba and shrimpy

Breakfast: 2x weetabix with milk (HEA & HEB)
Lunch: baked potato with coleslaw, ham and a salad
Dinner: SW burgers with salad and a wholemeal roll (6 syns)
    Snacks: Super noodles and fruit
Syns: will use some for the bread roll and coleslaw and will try to save the rest though I may have something sweet this evening to satisfy my hormonal cravings...

Have any of you tried Not Your Daughter's Jeans (NYDJ) They are meant to be super flattering but are quite expensive so I haven't taken the plunge yet. Maybe OI'll wait and make them my "at target" gift to myself.

Are any of you tying in your weightloss with money saving? DH and I are putting a pound coin in a jar for every pound we lose and then going to have a fun family day out with the proceeds.
  • Morning all; off to the bank and then to get two new tyres fitted once I've got littlie dressed and we've had breakfast. Depending on how long my tyres will take I might walk little one up to the playcentre close to the garage - that's if they can fit us in. If not I will call back later. Also need to take the wedding deposit to the church :D

Saturday ended up alright really: spent £2 at the party and got myself a big baked potato with beans and tuna and a bottle of water, had Chinese in the evening so syns went on some of that and a tiny piece of cake.

Sunday; started well but then I missed lunch and had a few pringles instead and then I forgot about feeding myself after sorting OH and littlie so just had a couple of slices of tiger loaf!

    Today:
sore throat :( so not sure how I'll get on so far I've only had a cup of tea with milk from HeA.
Breakfast: think I'm just going to have a slice of melon and a banana. Littlie is in the thick of a cold and teething and off food but will try and get some toast in to her
lunch: think I'm going to do us jacket potatoes and tuna/beans and salad for me
tea: lasagne; using my syns for this and I've split my HeA so it's 50/50 ss milk and cheese so syns just from the sauce. It's one of my favourite meals though so I always enjoy it!
Snacks: chicken mugshot (still free I hope!) and fruit as needed

    better get a shuffle on!

  • Hi all,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend and enjoyed your wine / takeaways / apple pie and custard / birthday cakes and other bits! :rotfl: after all that is what the weekend is for, back on it now it's Monday.

lantanna how did you enjoy the samphire??? I'm not really a fan, I thought it tasted too much like the sea :D

Not really slimming world related, but completed my open water scuba diving course this morning! So chuffed as it's something I've wanted to do for years but would never have done it without shifting weight! Definitely a non scales achievement for me! Plus I got a shiny certificate!

    So today's food so far:
    B- FF yogurt and watermelon
    L- chicken pad Thai
D- think it will be a BBQ skewer with chicken and veg and a baked potato.

Again leaving syns for the cooking process.

Seeing lots of snowy pics on Facebook ( especially in Scotland) hope everyone is keeping warm and safe driving! But also getting out and enjoying it!

    Here's to a good week everyone! :)
  • Morning everyone!

Well done The Cheese for finishing your scuba diving and well done to all the losers! :j

    Menu today:

    B - 1 x hifi, clementine, activia
    S - 1 x hifi (heb), banana
L - chicken noodles in peanut dressing (3)
    S - kiwi, kit kat (5.5), jelly (0.5)
D - chicken and chorizo risotto (2 + hea), ff greek yoghurt, berries, meringues (2) lemon curd (if i get round to making it)

I am very excitedly waiting for my new American style fridge freezer to be delivered! (I don't get out much!) Never had space for one before but will be very useful now I'm bulk buying meat and buying so much fresh veg each week.

The Cheese - Oh no! Not sure I will enjoy it either if it tastes like the sea.

Its on the menu for tonight, so I will give you my verdict tomorrow.

I only bought it before xmas because it was reduced and I wanted to try it.

Pleased to say I hit the gym 4 times last week. And going again tonight.

    queen of cheap

It is really good to get an alternative opinion of the overnight oats.
My DD made it last week and seemed to find it OK.

I am having a lazy morning and waiting in for a delivery for DD.

    Breakfast coffee and fruit

Lunch chicken stir fry (might be able to freeze a couple of
    portions)

Dinner Left over sunday lunch, beef, lots of veg and a
    potato.

Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
    Preemie hats - 2.
  • Morning all

I've STS this week - not really surprising after I ate all the food and drink on Thursday and I was a total slug on Friday and Saturday. So it could be worse.

    Fully back on track today

    EESP I think today

    B: Protein Shake
    S: Strawberries, apple and orange
L: Chilli with a wrap (HEB) yogurt
    S: aldi snack bars (HEB?)
D: Roast chicken breast with roasted cabbage, pepper, carrots and onions.

Swimming tonight then some cheese as an after swim snack (HEA)

And I just found out I didn't get the internal promotion - not a shock but annoying to hear. I'm just pleased my rival who has been here a year less than me didn't get it. Childish maybe but I think the person who did get it deserves it, so there is that.

And to avoid having something naughty to easy my poor ego, I'm going to walk around the building to get some steps in. :)
