Maman Happy to report the easy chicken curry is actually really nice, not indian take away curry but much nicer then a jar. I really enjoyed the iceland sw chicken tika frozen sauce but would say a tub is only really 2/2 portions if you like sauce!

Well done Sandy for target, and all the losers.

Reporting a STS this week, but it is shark week and I normally gain 2. Have been 100% on plan so it should come off next week (and obviously I'm still in the running for SOTW then, too).

Yesterday I went to Nandos for dinner and came out with it being 10 syns

    Thursday food

Post-weigh in breakfast - Iceland meatballs, breakfast muffins/crustless quichelets, cherry tomatoes.
Lunch - Salad box with a tin of mackerel. Apple, 3 satsumas. FF yoghurt.
Dinner - Nandos butterfly chicken breast (3 syns), 1/3 portion chips (5 syns), 1/3 portion macho peas (1 syn), some dipping sauce (2 syns). Latte (HEA)
Home - 2 hifi bars (HEB), muller light greek coconut yoghurt (frozen - 1/2 syn)

    Today's food - EESP day

Brunch - bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans, mushrooms, tomato. Tassimo cappuccino (2.5 syns).
While shopping - Waitrose latte (HEA)
Snack - hifi bars (HEB1), apple, satsumas, big chunk cucumber
Dinner - salmon fillet, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot, french beans.
Muller light greek coconut yoghurt (frozen - 1/2 syn)
    Snack - hifi bars (HEB2)
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Thanks for the curry ideas musogirl and mary. I don't have any curry paste so can't try the HB one yet. I'll report back on what happens.

Sorry to hear you didn't get out to eat denise and greentiger.:(

wiz, I really would recommend you try Melba toasts with your soups. They're really crunchy and at only half a syn each you could have loads for the same syns as a slice of bread croutons.

EE Menu today ended up as:
B: NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onions and pickles
D: baked cod, SW chips, mushy peas, tomatoes, mushrooms
Syns: weekend wine, small slice of cake

Bit short on Speed for me today:o.
  • Hi Everyone,

Sorry not been online for a couple of days , boy this thread moves quickly!! Well done on all the losses coming along - great stuff!

Weighed today on yet another set of scales, 1/2 off just glad it's going In The downward direction!

We're now in Thailand, and I had my first open water scuba diving lesson this morning, something I would've been to shy to do when I was heavier - wetsuit fear!! It's so weird breathing under water, but really enjoyed it! Out properly in the Ocean tomorrow.

Still trying to make good choices and staying away from Thai curries - even though they smell delicious everywhere! Sticking to Noodle soups and salads, however it's hard not to have a cheeky beer - must try harder!

Keep up the good work everyone and have a great weekend! ;)

Still without water - haven't had any since lunchtime yesterday. Been to get some bottled water. We've also got a couple of rainwater butts which we're using to flush the loo when necessary.

    Having a Green day today:

    B - Bacon (HEB1), egg, mushrooms & bean
L - HM mixed veg soup; WM bread (HEB2)
    D - Mozzarella & Red Pepper Melts (HEA1)

HEA2 will be 300ml 1% milk used in tea throughout the day.

    Wine syns tonight:D

Well, this morning I'm dancing around the room quietly so as not to wake the neighbours!

Done my weigh-in and delighted to report 2lb gone and target is reached!!!

It's taken 51 weeks (started 20th January last year) I wasn't really keeping a record at first as I was very disgruntled with myself. However, that's 5 stone and 2lb gone and my target of 10 stone is reached. Btw I'm 5'7" and female (last time I looked) :rotfl:

I even stood on the scales a second time to make sure. I usually only dare take the first reading lol

Not to be complacent I want to maintain this weight within a pound or two, so the next thing to think about will be keeping a balance.

I'm more of a lurker than a poster but I log in a do a catch up read though most days and I will continue to do the same.

Thanks to everyone for this thread for all your support. :grouphug: You have been wonderful  :lovethoug

Skips off to work with and happy hop skip and a jump lol :j

Huge congratulations. You have done so well and should be so proud of yourself:T:T

We've booked everything for Sunday 25th September - just need a dress for me and to sort flowers and the flowergirl dresses and we could marry tomorrow! we're quite laid back (OH more so - he helps me relax and not worry about others) so just want everyone to have fun and come celebrate :) lots of outside games, hopefully a bouncy castle(!) and cake :D

For what it's worth, you get 35g of bran flakes as your heB - I know 5g isn't much, but every little helps!!

ooh thanks! I did wonder if I was on the right figures; I've not dug out my books from the first half of last year so doing most things from memory/on here :)

    Today:
OH has given me loads of errands to run before I take littlie to the birthday party of someone from nursery so far too much to do now and I have to drive almost to IKEA to pick up his parcel - if I had money I'd be calling in haha.
Breakfast: 30g bran flakes HeB, milk from HeA and a banana
lunch: not sure yet as it will have to be quick; maybe just a mugshot and apple before the party
tea: not sure yet; Saturday is family night and usually bf's pick...secretly hoping for Chinese ;)

I'm contemplating parking at MiL's and walking up to the party (approx. 1mile round walk) to throw in some BM

Just seen an advert on Disney channel for a new healthy living site they've launched to encourage kids/families to eat well so going to check that out super quick :)

    Hi all

congratulations on all the loses. Way to go beanie what and excellent loss.

Had a total on plan day yesterday and tried to make the lemon chicken in the tastes of asia book but all did not go according to plan. The cornflour and egg mix totally stuck to my wok and resembled goodness know what. However in saying that I continued and served it up with noodles and stir fry veg. It tasted great although looked nothing like the picture and I mean no resemblance what so ever :D. Next time I am just going to miss out the first stage and save a syn as it's 2 syns per portion if you put in all the cornflour.

On safer ground today as doing steak with SW chips and all the trimmings so that should be okay. Only one glass of wine yesterday made into spritzers as I didn't have any lemonade for my vodka/bicardi that I was planning to have, but I did have a couple of bottles of soda.

    Have a good Saturday everyone.
  • Sorry I have not had much chance to post much this week but have read all your super posts.

Well done lantanna on that loss - great start. Hope you are feeling a bit happier soon xx

Get you beanie - that was super fantastic :T:T:T

Congratulations Sandy on your loss and on reaching target :T:j:T:j

Congratulations lush too . Looking forward to hearing about all your plans xx

Well done to all other losers (far too many to mention individually im afraid). You are all getting off to a cracking start :T:T:T

I have been on the SW bus and foolishly got on the scales for a sneaky weigh this morning (I know I know) and it is showing a gain :mad::mad: Making me more determined to stick to it - I am not flaming giving in at this stage.

Been invited to birthday tea this afternoon - don't feel like going really. Will try to pick at something healthyish to eat and will have a cuppa tea as I am driving tonight (thank goodness for that excuse).

Will try to pop back on tonight to catch up with you all.
