:T to abbe and sandy (and getting to target too!:D)

Weigh in this morning and lost 1lb...well done to those with losses also this week X

In bed ill so no naughties and wine for me tonight
:Ton your loss but being ill is a bit drastic to avoid syns. Hope you feel better very soon.

tete, we often get posters who don't lose after a week of being really good. It's hugely frustrating. I think people's bodies just work differently and not everyone has a regular pattern of losing. Hopefully it'll catch up with you next week.:)
If I Can get littlie settled well tonight I might make my 'will you be my bridesmaid?' cards for littlie and niece (not having 'proper' bridesmaids just the little ones to look cute) which will stop me snacking :D

Have you got a date planned lush?

Sorry to hear you sounding down in the dumps shala. Your DH sounds a star to organise the meal plan and cooking tomorrow so that should help you get back on track.

mary, which curry and/or sweet and sour recipes were you planning to use? I need some recommendations. After the disaster with the BBC curry last week I'm determined to keep trying to find a HM curry we enjoy. I thought of the SW Chicken tikka masala but it may not have enough sauce for us:undecided.

I've done my meal plan and shop for the coming week. Back soon with menu.:)
  • maman - I made that lamb curry a few nights ok. I upped the curry powder as you suggested and it was about right for me (DH complained it was too hot, but he never orders hotter than a korma!) I thought overall it was ok but didn't have the depth of flavour that some curries have. I quite like this Hairy Bikers one :
http://goodfood.uktv.co.uk/recipe/the-hairy-bikers-balti-chicken/ needs a few tweaks to make it SW friendly, but I find it is worth spending a syn or two on the curry paste because the flavour is so much deeper than when I make my own paste.

    :jFantastic loss Beanie!

Third day back on plan for me today and I can already feel the benefits :) Slept better last night (even with two wake up from littlie) and mood feels a lot more stable and energy levels more consistent :)

Sneaky weigh this morning as litllie pulled out my Tanita scales shows things moving in the right direction - bone mass back up (dropped a lot over the festive fortnight), hydration up and visceral fat (the gunk that collects around your organs) down half a litre :) Now to keep it headed that way!

    Today so far:
breakfast: 30g bran flakes (HeB) with part HeA milk and a banana, large glass NAS squash (weak) and a peppermint tea

Plan as the day goes on:
    mid morning: easy peeler
lunch: medium jacket potato, chicken, spinach, baby plum tomatoes, cucumber and baby beetroot, hard boiled egg
mid afternoon: apple, hard boiled egg
Tea: chicken - not sure what with yet. potential rice and sauce (5syn)

HeB: bran flakes - going to switch this up from tomorrow for a couple of days. try and keep the variety going :)
HeA: semi skimmed milk - I struggle to finish 250ml most days and usually switch this with cheese on days I don't have cereal/oats as a HeB
Drinks: regular tea, peppermint tea and NAS Squash

For what it's worth, you get 35g of bran flakes as your heB - I know 5g isn't much, but every little helps!!
  • I was too ashamed to post yesterday. I just wrote yesterday off, drew that fabulous line, and moved on. Let's just say it involved pizza and chocolate.

However, today has been much better

Breakfast was weetabix with raspberries, but I had Alpro Coconut milk rather than my usual skimmed milk, and it was really lovely.

Mid morning I had a banana

Lunch was chargrilled chicken salad, skinny latte yogurt and a packet of Hula Hoop Pufts (3.5 syns)

Mid afternoon, I had a fruit salad with raspberries, blueberries, melon, kiwi and pineapple

And tonight it is fish and chips - all free :). Birds Eye Inspirations ( rosemary thyme and lemon, I think), SW chips, peas, carrots and baked beans. What a combination.

I don't think I will be having any more syns today - try to claw some back from that pizza and chocolate :)

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Now - here's something you may be able to answer. I went and got fitted for a new bra yesterday. How is it that I have lost 1.5 stone and gone UP a cup size . I thought I was on my way to pretty small bras, rather than the boulder holders that I am stuck with for now.

On the up side - I have now got a sports bra, so can safely start going to Zuma, without the fear of knocking everyone out :D:D:D

Not out for dinner after all. The restaurant aren't doing the fish platter we were going to have.
Was really looking forward to it. Am now cooking some Birds Eye Fish chargrills with SW chips and peas.

Well, this morning I'm dancing around the room quietly so as not to wake the neighbours!

Done my weigh-in and delighted to report 2lb gone and target is reached!!!

It's taken 51 weeks (started 20th January last year) I wasn't really keeping a record at first as I was very disgruntled with myself. However, that's 5 stone and 2lb gone and my target of 10 stone is reached. Btw I'm 5'7" and female (last time I looked) :rotfl:

I even stood on the scales a second time to make sure. I usually only dare take the first reading lol

Not to be complacent I want to maintain this weight within a pound or two, so the next thing to think about will be keeping a balance.

I'm more of a lurker than a poster but I log in a do a catch up read though most days and I will continue to do the same.

Thanks to everyone for this thread for all your support. :grouphug: You have been wonderful  :lovethoug

Skips off to work with and happy hop skip and a jump lol :j

    :T:T:T Well done Sandhy :T:T:T

Sandhy, super duper congratulations. That is amazing! :j:beer::j

Well done, Tete, abbe and mummyroy.

My friend cancelled our lunch meeting as she was feeling too tired today. All I had at home was a carton Of New Covent Garden Classic Chicken soup which I’d bought for dh. I had half the carton – a whopping 11 syns! Ouch. I actually really do feel fatter!

    Oh well, back to it.

    Saturday
Breakfast: grapefruit, bacon & tomato toastie (hex b + 4syns for 2nd slice of bread)
Lunch: hm celeriac & apple soup – I have THREE celeriac to use up; this will get rid of on!
Dinner: spicy pork steak, baby potatoes, assorted veg
Snacks: 2 clementines, hexa cheese & grapes

    Determined to rein in syns.
