Well done candyapple on SOTW. I'm reading even if not posting and getting lots of useful advice. Well done to everyone else who has lost and also to those not giving up if they have a gain or are disappointed with their loss.
I'm - 2lb this week.0 -
Morning all
I'm supposed to be out running but it's sooooo cold I'm sat on the sofa under a blanket with a cat on my knee.
Out for lunch and dinner then pub quiz. Not too worried about syns today. Just going to do what I want then get back on track tomorrow.0 -

Have a great day. I'm out for lunch too at a country pub and I'm hoping there'll be a roaring fire going.:)lushlifesaver wrote: »I'm trying not to focus too much on food as that's what I've been doing on the other plan and was becoming obsessive to an unhealthy degree so...just concentrating on making good choices and setting a healthy example for littlie.
Your chicken sausage is just one syn so that's good news. I find the best way not to obsess is to do my meal plan and shop once a week then it's all sorted and I don't really need to think about it other than to get what I need out of the freezer. I don't plan my breakfasts and lunches as such, just make sure I have all the ingredients I need in.
musogirl, I think there is some evidence that if you eat late then there's less time for food to digest before sleep and some people find it uncomfortable to have a heavy meal in the evening. Personally I don't find your dinner time particularly late but I suppose it depends on your bed time. We eat at about 7.30 p.m.(later at weekends) but I never go to bed before midnight. I think you just have to go with your lifestyle. I'd find it awkward to cook a main meal at lunchtime.
Went to WI and quite pleased that I've only gained 1.5lbs since before Christmas. 1lb above target and still in range. I'm happy with that especially as I had a much bigger breakfast than usual (porage) as hadn't planned to go today.0 -

muso, there's the whole theory that the earlier you eat, the longer your body has to digest before sleep. But it's not like your body shuts down overnight. Also the "feeding window" diet that is popular at the moment is (IMO) just another way to restrict calorie intake, rather than having any medical basis. As long as you're seeing results on the scale, I don't think time of day matters one bit.
Today. I am sticking to plan but really not motivated at all this week...
Breakfast - Porridge (B, made with water) with grated apple and PB2 (1 syn)
Lunch - Omelette and salad
Dinner - Lamb shank and veggies
A will be milk in coffee/hot chocolate. May have an EE day today, but other B will be HiFis as usual if not. And rest of syns will be from my new treat box.0 -
maman and june - yes, I think the time isn't really a problem. I just feel that what I eat at that time tends to be quite heavy. I'm having steady losses but often see others at group that have regular large losses and wonder if that may be part of it.0

Gutted! They've run out of sweet and salted popcorn in the canteen, I've had to go for lightly salted instead. Less syns, but nowhere near as good!
We're off for a long weekend with OH's family oop norf tomorrow, I've got no idea what we'll be eating, there'll probably be loads of booze and it'll be freezing! It'll be fun, but I hope I don't undo the last 2 weeks good work.
re: eating times. I read something on one of the diets I tried a while ago about how your body converts food to fat by insulin release, which happens everytime you eat, so it's better to eat your food together, rather than grazing throughout the day. It's stuck with me and it's what I try to do, I have 3 bigger meals and try and avoid snacking (which is easier said than done, especially in the evenings)
Food today:
B: Overnight oats
L: Chickpea curry w/riceHam omelette/frittata with salad.
S: Popcorn (4.5syns), quark with chocshots (maybe, 2 syns)0 -
I too tend to try and avoid eating after 7/7.30pm unless absolutely unavoidable (generally due to games at tournaments as it seems my team always gets the last one *yawn*) otherwise I just feel a bit pants really.
Been out for my walk; I downloaded a new app last night to track it and it says I've walked 3.14km which isn't far off two miles which is ore than expected and apparently I burnt 234 calories which again is more than expected. I have got a Malteaser reindeer which I believe is 8 syns but considering I haven't had any other syns yet and my planned tea is just 1syn I am going to enjoy that
More peppermint tea and a hard boiled egg now before I head off to an event************************************
