For me, this approach seems to work, but equally I can understand why weekly syns will work better for some people - it's all about finding what's right for you!
Absolutely!!!
I know that SW frown on tweaking but if it's going to work long term it has to fit your own lifestyle and your mindset.
A much needed win at football tonight. Was tempted to come home and celebrate with a few wine syns but settled for a cup of tea.:)0 -
Lioness, I was a bit shocked by your “happy hump day” greeting
until I read further – phew!
Delighted for you, lantanna and candyapple.
Hi, lush, good to see you again – that’s been a magical Christmas for you!
Good result for your team tonight, maman,
Well, it wasn’t a good day SW wise – too much running around and being in wrong place at the wrong time didn’t help! I even took my boiled eggs with me when I went to pick dgd from nursery, but there was only white bread in her house, Then things went rapidly downhill after that! Ho hum. Start again time.
Pre breakfast: banana (to give me enough energy to scrape the car/dig it out of the snow before I go to dgs and then for shopping)
Breakfast: hexb cereal
Lunch: baked sweet potato, beans, salad, dressing (1)
Dinner: lamb and mushroom goulash, baby potatoes, green veg
Snacks: pear, something hexaSewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

Hi all
Sorry not had a chance to catch up for the past few days. Well done to candyapple for being SOTW and congratulations to everyone else who has lost.
I really enjoyed the discussion on ideal weight/size. I too struggle with knowing what size/weight I want to be. I have put my target as 10 stones at present but I am not sure whether this will be amended either down or up when I get there. mentally I feel that I would like to be in single digit figures but am not sure if this is doable and if it would look right on me. I have been overweight all through my 30s and now I am nearing 50 so nearly 2 decades and two children later so I am not really sure what will suit me. Sorry for the ramble:o
Anyway on to the here and now 2lb loss for me please Shala. Pleased with that as I know I went off the scales at the weekend with my wine syns so I must have been able to balance that out - phew. This weekend I have already told DH that there will be no wine syns for me but I do have some vodka and some bicardi left from xmas if I feel like something.
Today's menu
Breakfast: Bacon, mushrooms, Toast (HeB) and DG coffee (2 syns)
lunch: tuna pasta salad with cherry toms, peppers and sweetcorn (2 syns mayo)
Dinner: chilli and rice
snack: Ml yoghurt with forest fruits
keep warm and safe everyone as it looks like its gonna be a cold one today.

Snacks: Banana, orange, Muller Whipped (4 Syns)

Me neither. I have almost 100% of my Speed food from vegetables.I too struggle with knowing what size/weight I want to be. I have put my target as 10 stones at present but I am not sure whether this will be amended either down or up when I get there. mentally I feel that I would like to be in single digit figures but am not sure if this is doable and if it would look right on me. Well done on your loss:T.It's strange some consultants seem to encourage setting a target right from the beginning others explain from the start that you can wait and see. I know anyone can reset a target any time but I only know that from experience. On the first day you turn up at a group it's really hard to say. I just conjured up a figure from my mind that I'd been most of my adult life. At that time it felt like I might have been saying my ambition was to fly to the moon.:rotfl:
I'm thinking of perhaps switching to G&T for some of my weekend syns. It's something I enjoy and it could halve the syns compared to a glass of wine. I've plenty of gin in the cupboard. I need to check the tonic situation. This'll help me rein in a bit of spending as well as syns.:money:
As I'm up and about early today I think I'll go to WI. I've not been since Christmas so I might as well face the music. I'm out for lunch with friends later but then I've got a clear week to next meal out if I need to be strict with myself.
Real brass monkey weather out there. Keep warm all because we feel the cold more and more as the layer of blubber disappears!;)0 -
thanks for the welcome back and the congratulations everyone
I'm trying not to focus too much on food as that's what I've been doing on the other plan and was becoming obsessive to an unhealthy degree so...just concentrating on making good choices and setting a healthy example for littlie.
Today so far:
breakfast: 30g bran flakes (HeB), milk from HeA and a banana. Cup of peppermint tea
plan for the rest of it:

other drinks NAS squash, peppermint tea and normal tea (until HeA runs out)
exercise: walk at lunch (30-40mins) and walk up to a new member opening event (30mins) and back (30 mins)************************************

Does anybody have any thoughts on the time of day that you eat having an effect on your weightloss? I tend to hoard my syns for the evening cos I'm a picker. I also have quite a large evening meal at about 5.30-6pm. By comparison I don't eat very much during the day.0 -
