Thanks for the chart Shala and well done Candyapple and all the other losers! :j
All the various charts suggest I should be between about 9st and 11st. The last time I was 11 stone I was 14 years old! In reality I don't think I would like the way I looked at that weight has I am rather big up top (JJ) and would be afraid of looking like Katie Price! I will be happy if I can maintain a size 12 to 14.
Menu today:
B - 1 x hifi, clementine, activia
S - 1 x hifi (heb)
L - Jacket with beans and cheese (hea) and salad
D - Mexican fish stew
15 syns to play for! For the first time I haven't even thought about what syns to eat today!0 -
Just had lunch of mini pasta pots, they were lovely.
80g macaroni, 2 dsps cheese sauce granules mixed with water, 2 cooked LM sausages cut up and an egg, topped with hea of cheese. It made 5 and i had 2.5 for my lunch with salad so 0.5 hea + 2.5 syns - i'm sure quark could be used instead of the cheese sauce so would be free and any veg could be added.
maman already stole my answerbettyboof.. you could have heb crackers and cheese with pickles..
Sorry your disappointed with your loss sirbaksui - feel free to ask any questions or post your menu's up so we can have a nose.

Afternoon all
Today is the start of week two (although the first for the purposes of this challenge). I lost 5lb in the first week – to be expected – water weight and all that, but I am pleased nonetheless.
I had a dangerous period as I had something planned that got cancelled so had to go out and buy lunch. I was absolutely heroic in M&S and avoided all the delicious temptations. I got a sweet chilli chicken noodle salad (4 Syns), plus some fruit.I picked up some Count on Us Chocolate Mousses (4 pack) at 4 Syns each to take home.So today’s, menu is as follows:
B: Sultana Bran (40g) with milk (HEX A&
Snack: Banana
Lunch: M&S Chicken noodle salad (4 Syns)
Snack: Fruit (melon, watermelon, mango and grapes)
Dinner: Low fat meatballs in a tomato sauce with added veg (onions, mushrooms, carrot and pepper) with spaghetti
Evening snack: Chocolate mousse (4 Syns)
Drinks: Tea, coffee and water.
Total Syns: 80 -
You're right that is often harder when you don't have much to lose. Although you're disappointed as some lose loads at first WI, I averaged just 1.5lbs and I had 3+ stone to lose. All I'd say as well is that you don't need to go under on syns and if it'd help to post menus we might notice something gone astray. Oh and keep up the Speed foods to at least a third.:)
Thaks for the encouragementhopefully next week will be better, my menu for today is below
B. 2x wholemeal hovis toast (HE b), 2 poached eggs, everything served on a bed of rocket and baby leafs, tomatoes, cucumber etc. so the speed makes up 1/3 of the plate
snack 1: 2xsatsuma + apple
L: mixed salad + roasted chicken breast
snack2: muller light +apple + 2x satsumaleftover roasted chicken + mixed salad + sweet potatoe wedges

hi guys. I've joined SW group last week and just had my first weigh in yesterday. Very dissappointed as lost only 1 lb. Was sticking to the plan and not even used all my syns. Do you guys know what might be the reason... does it matter that I've got only 1 st to lose and that's why it's taking slower than expected? tia
Definitely harder with less to lose, it also depends what your diet was like before. Most of the first week is often water weight, and if you're not retaining much, you won't get that dramatic loss. But a lady in our group is the same, and she loses around 1lb a week including her first week.
You could try cutting your syns back a little, as I think the general idea is that you get more syns if you have more to lose. Maybe aim for around 10 a day rather than the full 15. But if you would feel deprived without all of them, go ahead and stay at the higher amount. Slow progress is better than no progress!0 -

thanks! my diet before was good, always coocked from scratch but the portions of cheese etc. might have been a bit too big and I had a bit too much of sweets and crisps and alcohol so using SW as a portion control toolNow swapped all of my olive oil to the frylight as well so that should reduce the calories as well and not eating sweets and crisps so hopefully I will lose 1lb every week

I'm in the slow progress group these days too.
Musogirl - Just do whats right for you and were you think you would be happy.
I've had to listen to someone this morning going on about how it was hilarious another girl was 11 stone - yeah hilarious. I don't tell people my weight anymore. I don't find weights are comparable between person to person.
I started at lb off 17 stone and was a size 10 / 22. I got down to 10.5 and was a size 10 on the bottom, 12 on the top. I'd never be anything less than a 12 on the top as I'm chesty.
My quest at the time was to have a healthy BMI, the whole BMI thing used to drive me mad. I used to get a little fixated on it and quite upset about it when I thought I'd lost over 6.7 stone and was wearing 10 / 12 but was still according to someone overweight. I think I only just got into the normal catergory with my weight when I stopped losing. So my advice take it with a big pinch of salt and use it as a guideline only.
I've regained some and currently would say I'm a big 14. I'm aiming to get back to a slim 12 overall.
I noticed last night on the Eat Well for less programme that they were only recommending the diets for those that had a BMI of 28 or over. Not 25.0 -
I've always had a goal weight of 10stone, which is what the links say, but since the lightest I've ever been was 13.12 I have no idea what I'd look like at that weight. I've got just under 5 stone to lose to get back to that, but I remember still feeling pretty podgy when I was that size. I carry my weight quite well, at 19 stone I'm an 18/20 and when I was 14 stone I was a comfortable 16, so to get to a 10/12 which is my goal I can't see it being far off 10 stone
Food today:
B: Overnight oats
L: sw quiche (hea), jacket potato with flora (2 syns)chickpea and veg curry with rice
S: Popcorn (6.5syns)
maman, I'm still trying to figure out what to do about evening meals. For the last 3 months we've been living off ready meals and takeaways so I'm trying to get into the habit of cooking and having stocked cupboards. It was sw quiche last night which takes forever to cook, tonight I'll get home at around 6.30, it'll be 7 by the time I start on dinner but hopefully it'll be before 8 when it's done. I could live off stir-fries and omelettes but OH is a veggie which makes it harder to do quick dinners that aren't too carb-heavy and protein light. I'll get there in the end, I keep telling myself, babysteps!0 -

I am another that feels disapointed at WI with small loses but I have 10-11st to lose so I don't think it is necassarily smaller loses for lighter people. I lost 3.5lbs my first week and my friend who only has 15lbs to lose lost 7lbs! It is just one of them things and I think over time our bodies change. The first time I did SW back in 2005 I lost 13lbs in a week  and I only had 3-4st to lose then!Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A
