I actually bought and paid for it with my own money and its been lounging in my cupboard for a while, I thought that it might be a good alternative but never quite managed to eat it lol
I'll wait for your verdict!!
I like the gym when I'm fully in the zone and like how I feel after. Its just getting myself there sometimes. But hopefully that will be me back in the zone now with it.0 -
Afternoon all, hope your mondays are all going smoothly
I had a lovely day yesterday, went to visit my bestie and her 7 month old daughter. They moved out of the city last year so we don't get together as much as we used to, so it's always lovely when we do get to catch up. Food wise not so great, forgot to eat before church so had a biccie with my coffee in the break, then we were rushing to get to the train so didn't have time for lunch. Helped my friend use up her Christmas chocolate biscuits (unopened box was nearly empty by the time we left!) and we got a curry as well, although I had a really small portion, half a portion of rice, quarter of a naan bread and a tiny amount of channa masala, bombay potatoes and veg jalfrezi. Oh and 3 glasses of wine. Phew! I've got no idea how I managed to weigh in this morning and report 6.5lbs off, but I'll take it
This week I'm going to be stricter with counting syns, and try and keep under 15 a day until Friday. This weekend we're going away with OHs family so I doubt that will involve particularly healthy food, and it definately will involve large amounts of booze!
Todays menu:
B: Overnight oats
L: Jacket potato w/ butter (2 syns), salad bar including 2 boiled eggs and probably 1 syn worth of oil (most of the veg was undressed)Gonna try another SW quiche. Last one was a bit soggy but I'll drain the cottage cheese this time and I might blend it with the eggs too.
S: Popcorn (6.5 syns)
So that leaves me about 5 syns to play with. I've got some of those chocshots coming in the shop this afternoon so I guess they'll go on that!0 -
Hi all
I've been here before and did really well but leapt off the SW wagon and have gained a load of weight back. In fact, depressingly, I spent most of 2015 agonising over my weight but not actually doing anything about it. Still, water under the bridge and all, so here I am again. Determined!
I'd like to lose 14lb (2lb per week) by the end of Feb. That would put me back where I was before I fell off the wagon. Weigh in day will be Monday.
I batch cooked yesterday and have bolognese sauce and curry (both SW and both chock full of veg) in the freezer.
Today's menu:
Breakfast: 40g sultana bran and milk (HEX A &
Snack: Banana
Lunch: Pasta bolognese
Snack: Fruit (satsuma, grapes, raspberries, apple)
Dinner: Simply Cook Firecracker Chicken with a salad. I have no idea of the Syns in my dinner, but it really can't be that high.
Drink: Tea, coffee and water.
Looking forward reading all the tips, success stories and to slimming success.0 -
Thanks June that's what I thought. Much prefer cheese to milk! :-)0

I went to get weighed on Saturday thinking I would have put on weight but instead lost a pound!!
I have been looking at the record since December and I seem to have gone up and down again and again by about two pounds so want to make a special effort to break through that barrier.
No breakfast as I woke late and had to go out to take forms to solicitor etc. Supermarket has opened today after the floods so managed to get fruit, 0% vanilla yoghurt, veg,low fat bacon, low fat mince. chicken and beef escalopes so very pleased.
Had a mug shot while home made chicken and veg soup was cooking and have just had a bowl of the soup.
Not sure whether to have more of the soup tonight or have a beef escalope with green veg. Will see how I feel later and have fruit and yoghurt if I am desperate for something sweet."This site is addictive!"

Good afternoon
Hope everyone had a nice weekend - my roof is leaking so not so great for me - but I did make it to my first Parkrun of the year
I have lost weight1.3lbs today
Plan for today
B: protein shake
L: sausage casserole and mash (10)salsa chicken wrap (HEB)
S: muller yogurt (1/2) veg sticks, cheese after swimming (HEA)
Need to keep my sins lowish this week as Thursday is going to be a eating day - my grandma died of cancer in June last year and it would have been her birthday. I'm going to town to have lunch as that was what we did once a month - having a bento box I won in Dec, pretty healthy, but I'll have a glass of wine as well. Then I'm meeting a friend for a burrito before we go the pub quiz in the evening. That will probably be all the sins, but I'm not going to worry about it. Some days are too important and I'll be back on track on Friday.0 -
Hi everyone :j
I have decided to take the plunge with SW and give it a go!! Did ok with WW last year but broke my leg basically and all the weight went back on  I have around 6-7 stone to be truly happy with my weight, and have heard so many success stories about SW.
Shala I know I'm a week late, but can I join in the challenge? I'm going to go for 14lbs off (ambitious I know, but need to lose weight for holidays and being bridesmaid later this year).
Plus I need a target to make sure I stick to it!!
Congrats everyone for your weight losses so far, reading this thread was the poke with the big stick I needed!!

First day back and started with some cereal - gosh, isn't it a weeny portion? Could have eaten twice that!0

Lovely to see more new joiners (I'm sure shala will add you to the list when she posts next) and :T to all of you who've seen a loss today. It probably helped that I tried my wedding dress on again today. It fits but I could do with with losing a bit more to fit a bit better. It's pre alterations (and will need significant alterations), love it still though, and it'll look even better when I'm a bit slimmer
less than 10 months till the wedding - argh!
If your signature is right you've only got 20lbs to lose in 10 months. That's very doable. When's your last dress fitting meant to be? Good to have something to aim at and so pleased you still love the dress:).
money, you're right that eating the same things can get very boring so always good to read what people eat on here or google for SW recipes or adapt others that you know you enjoy and get some variety into your week's meals. SW isn't meant to be thought of as a diet. It's a healthy eating plan that anyone can follow. When you get to your target weight you can relax a bit and introduce some extra syns or HEXs but to maintain you should carry on eating healthily or the weight might creep back on again.:(
Today's EE plan:
B:NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk
L:ham, beetroot, fried LO vegchicken jambalaya (peppers, onions, carrots, courgette, mushrooms, tomatoes).
Syns: scrape of spread, 2 Mikado (1)0 -
hello.. me again
How exciting for your wedding selement, I couldn't remember if you'd already got married or not so I didn't want to be rude and askwhich dress did you get in the end? I remember looking at some lovely lace ones...
