Hi All not posted for a while as have no been too well, I do read everyday, big welcome to all the newbies, some great losses already.

Well after the best Christmas and newyear I have had in years in Southport. I was rushed to hospital on Wednesday with a suspected stroke. It turns out It wasnt . I am now back home in Telford and have to see my GP o arrange further tests to find out just what the hell it was.

and after 10 days totally off plan I have somehow lost 3lbs so now way under target, don't want to put It back on but dont want to lose anymore, so don't know what will happen about my membership. Will find out on Tuesday.

Was out all day yesterday so not really on plan, although as it turned out both breakfast and lunch were SW friendly. Just the evening which wasn't! Probably had about 45 syns:eek:.

Today's plan will be better and obviously much lower syns:

B - SW fry up; slice of WM bread
L - Spicy carrot & lentil soup; pk of Melba Thins (3.5 syns); had a couple left after the soup and had them with ham
    D - Beef stew; mash

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - Melba Thins 3.5; 2 chocs @ 2 each 4

  • Wow, some great losses this week!

I've got a pork roast in the oven atm. Smells bloody delish! I made myself stuffing balls out of my HexB so the whole roast should be syn free as I'm omitting the yorkies. Got a food heavy week this week so I've got to be good when I can.

Got an 'enforced cake eating' moment tomorrow. A colleagues birthday- she's demanded I eat her cake. Tough life.

Friday me and my husband will be getting in late so we've chosen pizza for dinner. I'll buy a fresh one from sainsburys so hopefully not too bad on the syns. Well, better than takeaway.

Sunday I'm meeting up with old uni friends so we're going out for a meal.

Husband is off to Malta this week for work so I may crack and take the kiddies to McDs, but I'm going to try to resist.

Good luck for this week everyone! Xx

For the spiralised veg - Tesco and Sainsbury's do the ready made ones as well. I make mine, I have a gadget that's like a pencil sharpener instead of the big bulky machines. I find it quite easy to use, although I usually only do courgettes which are quite soft so easy to go through the machine. I know Oxo Good Grips do a similar one now that might be even easier?

On plan today, EE for the weekend...
Breakfast - Weetabix, banana and berries. Coffee. (A/B+1)
Lunch - Egg salad with all the random veg in my fridge :rotfl:
Dinner - Sausages and veggies (2)

I'm going off chocolate again, really only eating it because it's there and I need to use my syns. Bought some avocados in my delivery today, and think I'm going to take a wander in store tomorrow to see what else catches my eye.
  • Gosh the weekend flew!
    Today's chews :-
Brunch bacon sandwich (HE b) and ketchup 1 Syn
Dinner peppered quorn steaks, Sw chips, salad, mushy peas.
Just having a sneaky vodka and Diet Coke 50ml =6syns
Will have 3 babybels and some grapes this evening with Endeavour!6syns
HE a was milk in tea and coffee
    Total =13 syns

Welcome to all newbies and returnees :A and well done losers :T hugs to those in need :A
Wi with a loss of .5lb, surprised really after a nightmare week with stress/anxiety levels through the roof! Was at unit with my charge on wed/thur, taxi driver got a bit lost on way there 1st morning so that didn't help . Actually being there wasn't bad was just the travelling! On way home Thurs (was really bad weather all day, some flooding etc) taxi driver told me of an accident he'd seen that morning. A cyclist had been knocked of his bike :(. When I went into work Friday (my usual place of work) was told it was our Y6 teacher who was the cyclist! Fractured 4 vertebrae in his back and facial injuries  was also told another colleagues husband had had a stroke and another's son had suspected broken ankle! Blimey, I'm away 2 days and it all happens :(. Wonder what next week will bring :o.
Forgive me if I'm not around much, I am reading but really not coping with my anxiety levels :o.
    Keep the faith all :A

That's dreadful news meg. I'd assumed you hadn't posted because you were living it up in Southport. I didn't expect that to be the hospital! Poor you:A. Great to hear that it wasn't a stroke though. Keep us posted on the tests, please.

I think if you want to stay below target, you'll either have to reset it 7lbs lower than your original or go back to within 3 lbs of your previous target but as someone who's always dancing around my target weight I'd like to know for definite.

You're doing really well to lose and travel cheese.:T

:rotfl:Sorry! I'm going to have roasted carrot chunks instead, does that make it even worse? I don't really like yorkshire puds either, I'm a national disgrace.

I think roasted carrot chunks are a great way of doing SP as it feels like you have a carb on your plate. I feel the same about swede & carrot mash too. Otherwise SP can make you feel a bit deprived. I'm still having my roasties though;).

mary, there seem to be loads of different squirty creams around but no standard way of measuring them on syns online. Most are listed under aerosol cream. It's difficult to assess between tablespoons and grams Morrisons and Anchor look lowish.

tete, you're right that 1 Alpen is in the book as Speed but no idea how that works???

Oh tie, that's an awful catalogue of events. Any chance you could try and change your job to something less stressful?
