Another on plan day yesterday, and another SP day today.

Brunch: Bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes. 2 x tassimo cappuccino (2 x 2.5 syns)
Snack: Cheese (HEA), iceland meatballs, cherry tomatoes. Plums. Hifi bars (HEB)
Dinner: Salmon fillets, kale, cauliflower, runner beans, carrots.
Late night snack: Hifi bars (HEB)

Definitely not having an SP day tomorrow...am very much looking forward to my roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings!

  • Hi everyone

Had a bit of a nightmare with tea tonight, was meant to be beetroot balls and butternut squash spaghetti, but the meatballs were to soggy to cook and the butternut squash turned to mush when i boiled it! I've cooked the beetroot slop in a cake tin for an hour but dinner ended up being halloumi, mushed butternut squash and salad! Not the best sw meal but still better than the pizza OH suggested when i told him about the fail!

Well done to the losers! I too have been a bit breezy round the bottom this week, but i "started" yesterday so I'm hoping it's down to that and things will be quieter now!

Wow, that's a lot of exclamation marks...
  • I saw an advert on facebook today from mark and spencers about courgette spagetti, and butter nut squash I think it was. Some people were asking did they know what syns they were, but the marks people weren't sure and it isn't in the sw app yet.

I have been thinking of getting a spiralizer but I have bad hands and they aren't very strong. I don't go to marks often though so I might try and see if someone has one I can borrow for a week or something.

Has anyone tried a spiralizer, and which brands are good and don't need much strength to use? I struggle with chopping veg like butternut squash just with a knife, but maybe I could just use it on courette and softer veg.

Hello, HurdyGurdy and mummyroysof3. We are always pleased to meet new peeps.

Well done for your resolve after your cooking catastrophe, treeny. I’m in awe!

Well, football was postponed, as I expected it would be. I didn’t have my wine gums and we didn’t have the planned take away curry for tea, but instead had spicy wedges, broad beans, beetroot salad and fish in ‘golden crumbs’ (don’t know how many syns – it came from the coop).
Unfortunately I succumbed to a wee scone also. I’ve just had 2 rice cakes (3 syns) with hexa light Philly and tomatoes.

    Sunday’s menu:

Breakfast: hexb bran flakes with a little hexa milk & mixed berries
Lunch: last of the HM veg soup, fruitopolis yogurt (½)
Dinner: beef & tomato casserole (1 ½ ), baby potatoes, chantenay carrots & savoy cabbage, followed by meringue nest (3) with fruit salad and 0% fat Greek yogurt
    Snacks: WW orange & cranberry biscuit (2 ½ )

    Let’s get this right!

Just back from a night out that involved walking 2km and lots of boogieing so definitely good for body magic, but a few too many wine Syns consumed as well - oh dear.

Had a lovely conversation that I'm going to count as a NSV - a friend's stepdaughter is here, visiting her family. Last time I saw her she was size 30 at least and not happy about it. I told her to try SW because it's great for people with a lot to lose, she did and she looks amazing now, and as soon as she spotted me she came over to thank me. She's not at target yet but so much happier about her appearance.

Treeny - I find BNS IS better if you steam it, or better still, roast it although I know roasting wouldn't really work with spaghetti.

Pathtofreedom - BNS and courgette are both free and Speed on SW so unless there was anything added (like butter or oil) it should be free at M&S.

Shala - well done for your first weight loss of the year, I'm sure there will be many more. Food amnesia is very common in my household - we had our HEXB for lunch today but DH thought we could have ryvita for supper.

    Night night all.

    LL :)

Morning all, I had a good day yesterday until DH suggested takeaway for tea, that in itself wouldn't have been so bad had I not also discovered some Xmas Thorntons that I had forgotten about :o Havent totted up the damage yet but will do so now and claw it back this week. I read online that lamb rogan josh is only 6.5 syns which seems too good to be true - wondering if that is a whole portion or just half? It was delicious though :o

Didn't make the gym on Friday either - who has the pokey stick?!

Today am having a SW fry up for brunch and a roast for tea, should be SP as I'll skip the roasties, not too fussed on them anyway. So hopefully will balance out yesterday a little! Picked up some choc shot from Aldi so might try that for afters.
