  • Morning all - feeling frustrated - was 14:12 on my scales yesterday (really must stop jumping on the scales every day!!) and after a very lean day yesterday and no wine *sobs* stood on my scales at 15:2 today!! I realise that it has to be water weight...I know I can't put on 4 lbs of fat over night. I'm wondering if I am not eating enough (have had a history with bulimia in the past and now have problems with feeling *full* - ie I don't like to feel that way.

Yesterday I had a 0% greek yog and a mandarin for breakfast, a chicken salad (loads of free) for lunch and for dinner I had cod and cherry tomatoes baked in foil with cauliflower (there was cheese in my salad but I didn't have a HEb)

Other people in my group ( we have a FB page where people post their food) seem to be eating WAY more than me....I'd love your input in this? I realise I fall into a *diet* mentality and that the hungrier I am the better I feel I should be doing.

Depending on the size of your salad and if there was potatoes or pasta in it, I would be really hungry on your menu yesterday. Are you doing ESSP? I am trying to keep my carbs low but have to have them in one meal during the day, so oats for breakfast, or potatoes pasta etc with my dinner or a sandwich at lunch. You should def have your Heb and if on ESSP you get 2. Its there to keep everything nutritionally balanced and so that you don't feel deprived and go off the rails. I've been known to be super strict for a bit and then go off the rails so it defeats the purpose for me. I suspect Shala is a little bit naughty like this as well at times. :rotfl:

    Good morning everyone,
Unfortunately, +1.1/4lbs on for me please. Confession time, it was my birthday and had meals out and too much fizz of the alcohol kind. I now have 7 lbs to lose before going away at the end of May. I will have to try.

    Arkers x

You kept that very quiet! Hope you had a lovely time. Syns on birthdays is allowed.;)

:Ton your loss greentiger and anyone else I've missed.

gfb, what you've written down sounds like a very healthy day but we can't tell the portion sizes. I didn't see any carbs at all in there yesterday not as HEB or free food. Why are you keeping carbs low? I'd suggest you do a proper EE menu with your HEA and HEB and meals with a third protein, third carb and third Speed and see if it works.

Not sure what's happening here today. I've had a SW breakfast (bacon and egg on HEB) and plenty of LO veg for lunch but dinner isn't sorted yet. Will report back later.:)
  • Thanks for your input...I guess I have a bit of a carb phobia from having low carbed for many years (to be fair I did have some success - having been up to 17.5 in my day...) I'm going to do what you say and do it as it's written down. It's all a process I guess :)

What is the SW stance on Alpro Coconut & Almond Milk? I have discovered I like them, I don't like regular milk and my training plan suggested I have them in my Protein Shake. My Protein Shakes are 5 syns btw with water. Normally just have one after exercise, quite nice actually.

    Afternoon all,

despite Polish cheesecake/dessert at the weekend I am still hoping for a loss having been good otherwise!

    Today:
breakfast: strawberries, grapes and a kiwi with a muller cheesecake inspired yogurt (1syn)
snack: benefit light bar (hoping 2 of these still makes a heb?!)
lunch: homemade leek and potato soup
snack: benefit light bar (2nd part of heb) plus melon chunks
further snack: can of vimto zero, Satsuma
tea: chicken breast baked in the oven with some new potatoes and peas, cauli, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, green pepper.
hea: milk... 250ml semi skimmed however only had two cups of tea with a dash in. not sure I'll use the rest!
    heb: benefit light bars
syns: 3 chocolate fingers 4.5, cadburys chocolate shortcake biscuit 4

If you have the unsweetened Almond you can actually have a litre for HEA! I've used it on a Green day to make a lovely rice pudding for dessert - think it makes a better rice pudding than cows milk!

500ml is if you use the sweetened Almond drink.
