Off out for our wedding anniversary tonight, thought it better to do it on a weigh in night so that we have all week to lose any gain :D 8 years tomorrow  not a patch on you lot but i'm shocked he's put up with me for this long! ;)

I'm not surprised at all if you are as kind and helpful to him as you are to us! Have a great evening.:A

    Today's menu
    Breakfast - Pineapple chunks
Lunch - Iceland SW meal [must say I'm not really enjoying it very much! Might follow up with something else]
Dinner - Burgers with w/m roll [HexB], salad, corn on the cob and wedges

I must admit I'm not very good at getting my 1/3rd speed in with meals, something to work on I suppose but it is only week 3!

That's fine as long as you know you weren't following the plan properly and while exercise tones it doesn't show up in weightloss straight away. You're right that it's early days but getting that third of Speed is so important. Looking at your menu today I think it's only the salad that's Speed. Tinned pineapple chunks even have a few syns. I don't know which ready meal you ate but most of them need Speed alongside and I'm pretty sure that corn on the cob is just free.

I'd suggest you write yourself a meal plan for the coming week and a shopping list to go with it. Make sure you plan in plenty of Speed whether it's snacking on fruit or part of your meals. You'll soon get to that first half stone.:)

That's infuriating denise but you know that 'being good' catches up eventually just like 'being bad';). Is your DH going to group or weighing at home?

:T on resisting the biccies beg.

I'm ready BEG if you need me ;)poke.gif

Shala/Maman - DH is hoping to lose a stone by the time we go on holiday mid June. He's just weighing at home not group (that's my only "me" time, LOL!).

I'm still in target (just!) - only 1/2lb to spare. Just hope it catches up this week!

Tonight's dinner was lovely apart from the roasted sweet potato & beetroot which just didn't cook properly. I do wish SW would get their timings a bit better - I cooked them for about 15 minutes more than the recipe stated. Having said that I did manage to eat the beetroot which had already been cooked but they were still a bit hard - DH couldn't eat them. No way would I roast sweet potato without par boiling in the future (which I usually do) but the recipe just said peeled and chopped.

We both really enjoyed the puy lentils with the dressing, along with the bacon wrapped cod. I also cooked some green beans as well so at least we got some Speed food.

Absolutely stuffed after it so didn't even have the planned strawberries, grapes & yoghurt although may have that later this evening. Will probably crumble a mini meringue on top as only had 1.5 syns today so far (so definitely so syns for weekend wine!).

    Denise

PS - Happy Anniversary Shala. Good idea to eat out on WI day!

Evening all, hope you're doing well, nearly the weekend! Made these last night (plus leftovers tonight) which were rather tasty and very easy: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/smoky-sweet-potato-bean-cakes-citrus-salad . Noticed a few of you talking about the challenges of maintaining - did any of you see the news stories last week talking about research that shows people who manage to keep weight off for a year are much more likely to maintain the loss long term because at that point people's appetite actually started changing. Apologies if it's already been discussed on here, been struggling to keep up recently!!
  • -0.5lb for me this week shala. Not very exciting but it takes me to my stone award at SW, hooray! 22.5lb in total :D but still 17.5lb to go :(
Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j

Hello, Claree and tessie bear, there a lot of [STRIKE][STRIKE]bossy moos[/STRIKE][/STRIKE] wise people here who will help you on your journey.

Well done, debjay, rubyslippers and beanie.

Lois, I’m with you on the speed/non speed fruit preferences. Also as recently as last year all fruits were ok. I know, I know, change happens in everything; I just find this change a bit harder to swallow. I’ll get my coat.

    Happy anniversary, shala.

Well done to all the losers this week.

Shala - hope you enjoyed your anniversary meal last night.

    Today's plan is EE again:

B - Spanish omllette with onions, peppers, peas, sweet potatoes, mushrooms
L - LO beef, aubergine & potato bake
D - Sweet and sour pork & rice

HEA will be milk as usual
HEB - will decide later but probably Ryvita or toast this evening

    Denise
