They aren't bad, but aren't a speed fruit... some people find eating them can prevent weight loss due to the natural sugars. Don't worry x

Nessa - looks good, only the mango wasn't speed. I'd also suggest adding some speed to your breakfast, as it looks like you're just having plain weetabix? I always add a handful of frozen berries to mine, the Sainsbury's Basics and Iceland ones are just speed fruits. Don't know about Aldi/Lidl as I don't have them locally, just check the packet to make sure there's no blueberries or cherries as they're commonly added to mixes but only free.

debjay - As PB said, bananas aren't bad - they're just not speed and quite starchy. I limit them to a few times a week but they're an excellent nutrition/energy source so if you don't have any issues, carry on! :)
  • Hiya everyone, I hope you're all well

Big hugs to those who need them especially lantanna can't even imagine how awful it is for your family

2lbs gain for me this week please shala which is nothing short of a miracle if I am honest. I've been eating my feelings again this week and rarely paying attention to syns. Star week is looming so I'll blame it all on that :D Well done you losers this week, big hugs for everyone else and we'll smash it next week

Gorgeous sunny weather again today so hoping to get out in the fresh air for some body magic and make myself feel a bit better.

    Have a great day everyone

Your BMI is 19.9 which is at the lower end of the healthy scale, so you really don't need to lose any more weight, you should call target and try to maintain the weight you've got to.

How much weight have you lost?

    Morning all :)

I've been thinking about the issue of eating non speed fruit and I have to say I struggle with it. I really like pineapple, mango, banana, blueberries, cherries, grapes... the list goes on, and the idea of not eating them at all fills me with dislike. I understand the logic (partially) and I make efforts to balance out non speed fruit with speed vegetables.

I say partially because I disagree with some of the fruits that are non speed, e.g. blueberries - they are classed as a Superfood as they're full of anti-oxidants. One of the arguments for some fruits being speed and others not is the sugar content, however pears are higher in sugar than many non speed fruit and they're classed as speed. I posted a link to a list of fruits a while ago and if I can find it I'll post it again as it makes interesting reading.

I frequently have fruit and yogurt for breakfast and adding half a banana just makes it more filling. If the rest of the fruit is speed then I'm fulfilling the 1/3rd rule.

    morning (just) all,

bad afternoon/night yesterday but I was restrained! So in the afternoon I had a meeting with lunch provided but I limited myself to 3 tiny sandwiches on wholemeal and 1/5th of a slice of cake! and in the late afternoon/early evening I ended up in the paeds assessment unit with little one for some time! she had a cheese sandwich from them and I waited until we were allowed home to eat the salad I took with me for training which was all free and speeds :)

weigh in this evening! not expecting a great success as I've had a few off plan moments but know my triggers and generally quite over worked (and tmi need more fibre or something!) and I have my appt with the shape your weight team at midday so will be interesting to hear what they say/offer...will be impressed if I've lost anything but not getting disheartened as I have a new plan :)

    breakfast: quark and strawberries
mid morning: 2 rich tea fingers (2)
lunch: baked frittata (all free no speed) with cous cous, cucumber, pickled onions, beetroot and tomatoes and chicken
    mid afternoon: water water water!
tea: after weight in probably bean son toast/similar.

I'm struggling with using my HeA and often forgetting about a HeB and ending up with hifi later in the day (not terrible and often just sweet enough to satisfy any cravings.

Loving quark and meringue nests (not always together ;) ) and so glad the sun is out now to get out more!
