    Brilliant NSV, New Me!

Wiz, I usually count 10 days for a cold .

    Well done, Morello and Arkers.

Good luck with your interview, lush. ETA congrats on your success, even although it’s not a viable option for you. Just be proud of yourself.

lantanna, your experience puts everything in perspective – sending hugs.

Well, as expected, today went t**s up! Late home so didn’t have planned meal, That wasn’t too bad – hm onion soup with a sprinkle of cheese, ham sandwich, ML Greek style lemom yogurt ( ½ ).

Off to think over my approach for tomorrow – and beyond – because I’m not getting this right. Mea culpa.

Went way over syns yesterday but still have plenty in hand for today as I've been sticking to plan every day before that for the last couple of weeks:A.

    Another EE day today:

    B - omlette
    L - LO sweet chilli noodles - 3 syns
D - beef, aubergine & potato bake - a recipe from the new Free Food Feast book. Looks similar to something I've cooked in the past but I used to use sliced courgettes rather than aubergine as when I grow them there always seems to be loads to be used up!

    HEA - milk
HEB - not sure yet. May have some crackers or perhaps a Hifi bar this evening

Syns - sweet chilli sauce 3; butter 4 if I have crackers.

    Denise
  • a very annoying STS for me this morning. knew I'd be pushing it for a loss with a takeaway and wine but still brassed off.
    Hea skimmed milk
    Heb ?
B banana and Ben and Kerry's "son of a witch" (4) and very scrum my it was too.
L salad with egg, pickles and some ham
    D chicken curry and rice.

Another beautiful day here, off out with dogs in a minute. Hope you all have a good day.

That looks interesting denise. Presumably if it's free it doesn't have a sauce on top like moussaka. Let us know how it turns out. I love aubergines.

I'm planning a low syn day too. Another JP for lunch as no LOs available (we greedily ate all the casserole last night:o), I had eggs for breakfast and don't fancy soup.

I can't remember who posted that they were planning more variety into their menu. That's a great idea as it's so easy to fall into a rut.

Greentiger, not sure how much you have to lose but I found I had to be really strict with myself when getting to target. I'd say to fit in with your lifestyle you need to either save syns in advance or eat very low syn when you go out for meals and only make exceptions for really special occasions (like holidays) as those are the weeks you'll either gain or STS. I ended up eating a lot of steak with jackets or salads and having a pot of tea/coffee while friends were tucking into cakes and cookies. Even at football I'd eat a couple of satsumas at half time. It took me just under a year to get to target and now I can relax a bit. It was hard but it was worth it. I know I'm a bossy m** but I just wanted to share my way of doing it in case it's any help.:o

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk
L: JP with cottage cheese, pickles and spring onions
    D: SW spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: none planned and hoping to have some Parmesan within HEA
  • That was me Maman and in the spirit of variety I had a ruby grapefruit and two boiled eggs for breakfast...I love grapefruit :)

B: grapefruit and 2 boiled eggs
    L: chicken salad
D: chicken (legs all skin and fat removed) casserole with loads of veggies and some barley in it (this is SOOOOOO good!!)

(sorry for your sad news Lantanna)
