    Morning all :)

Lovely sunny day here, but pretty cold. Hope everyone's enjoying some good weather.

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done Belsy for SOTW. :T Well done to all the for the great losses coming in.

I should be at class now, but I've given it a miss as I had too much to do this morning, catching up after being away for 2 days. It'll give me time to undo any damage done over the weekend anyway.

I've only skim read previous posts so apologies if I've missed anything important. I did notice mention of the offer that's coming up for anyone that does a countdown, and I would definitely have gone for it except for the fact that I just bought a new food diary so the timing's not great. I do like to keep a record of what I've eaten and I'm doing food diaries for class as well as my own diary but I find it easier to write down what I eat as meals and then use that to fill in the SW food diary.

I took a mad turn and was playing freezer tetris this morning so didn’t get round to having breakfast until 11 so I didn’t have any lunch after all.

Had to think about that one before the penny dropped! I had visions of you playing computer games in bed and wondered why they would have a frozen version of Tetris!

I'm told Harvester's a good place for making wise SW choices lois, lots of people from my group go there. I had to look up dirty rice though. Safe journey.:)

The best thing about the Harvester is the free salad bar - you can go back and fill your bowl as often as you like, but as I mentioned before, you have to resist the more sinful things like onion bits, potato salad and high calorie dressings. The menu had changed since last time I was there and it seemed like there was less choice for people wanting to eat healthily, however they do a skinny half chicken and a skinny steak - all you get is the meat and you fill the rest of your plate from the salad bar. I considered that as an option but then decided on the salmon as my sister recommended it.

Right, better get back to the laundry to retrieve the washing and get it hung out - I think it's going to be a good drying day.

    Have a good day everyone.

morning all, first fully on plan day since rejoining yesterday! Still hoping to recover from the weekend before weigh day on Thursday evening!

Yesterday went well and I actually enjoyed my food! Today:
    breakfast: quark with strawberries
mid morning: banana and an apple
lunch: peas, sweetcorn and carrots with homemade frittata which I baked rather than fried - tinned new potatoes, peas and sweetcorn and some free ham plus 3 eggs. I have a quarter of it today (baked it in a sponge tin so quite thin but lovely) followed by a kiwi
tea: chicken breast baked with extra lean bacon medallion on top over some tomato puree. will serve mine with peas, sweetcorn, carrots and either a small mashed potato or I may bake the potato instead.

job interview today at 2pm (rescheduled from last week) so lets hope that goes well!

Musogirl I feel your pain, I used to make novelty cakes and there were scraps of cake and tubs of frosting everywhere, no wonder I put all my weight back on.. I've given up now as it was no good for my stress levels. Good luck with your venture, hope it does really well x

Thanks shala and thanks for the chart! Well done to Belseyboop and all the people who have already met their targets! There is no way I will be meeting my target this time round!

Had a bit of a heavy cake day yesterday. I have lots of cakes left to make this week but I have designated recipients for these so in theory I should be ok for the rest of the week. Watch this space!

    Menu today:

    B - Overnight oats (heb)
L - Leek and potato soup
D - Jambalaya, ff greek yoghurt, berries, meringue (2.5)
    S - wotsits (4.5), kitkat (5.5), clementines, banana
  • Morning all - well done to BB for SOTW and all you losers :)

    Food today:
B: 0% greek yog and defrosted summer fruits (yum!)
L: SW fry up (two SW sausages, 2 eggs, 2 bacon and beans)
D: Roasted salmon with roasted red pepper sauce and veggies

(HEa is milk in my tea...not figured out a HEb yet...lagging on that one)

I also find the SW food diaries ridiculous to fill in!! I'd rather just do it here or in a book!

Change of plan for lunch today having discovered not enough lettuce left for both of us! Have changed it to what we were going to have tomorrow so now having Sweet Chilli prawn & mussel noodles so chopped up salady bits in it rather than just on a plate.

This of course means a few extra syns but plenty of spare today. Have made enough to have tomorrow as well.

Lush - it would be better if you could change the peas and sweetcorn for some Speed veg as both these are quite starchy. I keep a good selection of frozen veg in the freezer and it makes it quite easy to use those rather than peas and sweetcorn.

Thanks Denise - I am struggling at the moment as its the week before pay day so stocks are low - I have beetroot and pickled onion plus cucumber and tomato which I will add more off in place of the peas and sweetcorn.

I am going to sit down with my book at the tournament this weekend and make a better plan re speed in meals ahead of pay day (and therefore shopping day) on Monday :)

Same from me too lush:A. They must have liked your application to invite you.

I was going to comment on the lack of Speed too (only carrots) but now I understand. I find keeping plenty of pickles (onions, beetroot, cornichons, red cabbage) in is helpful. I have peppers in the freezer and buy spring onions and tomatoes regularly as I can eat those fresh or cook with them.

I'm another who had a cold for weeks although I think I'm over it now. The actual fever/sneezing didn't last long but the cough and thick head hung around for ages.

I agree that the SW food diaries need re-thinking. I think it's crazy that they only have spaces for Free, HEXs and syns when everyone knows that Speed is so important!:D These days I only record my menus on here but when I was getting to target I used a notebook with columns and wrote down everything that passed my lips. I had a Speed (then Superfree) column and if that was looking a bit empty through the day I'd snack on fruit.

    :wave:to lantanna if you're lurking.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast
L: JP with cottage cheese, pickles and spring onions
D: pork casserole (onions, peppers, carrots beansprouts, mushrooms) with rice
Syns: squirt of HP sauce and I'm allowing about 3 for the casserole as sauce has some sherry, oil, cornflour and honey in there but only a dessertspoon of each and shared with DH.

maman, I always used to use the SP diaries instead of the regular EE ones. Made it easier to track the right foods. I thought the EE diaries did have a speed column now but I haven't used them since my first 4 weeks so can't remember!

Today is an EE day though as I'm not sure if my burger counts as P, so playing it safe...
Breakfast - Yoghurt and fruit (1.5)
Lunch - Fakeaway burger and strawberry "shake" (A/B + 4)
Dinner - Fish and veggies (0.5)

That leaves a few syns for pudding, not sure what it's going to be yet though.
