I posted this observation on the Norfolk gluten free shop page and someone commented that gf bread has minute amounts of gluten in which is within the guide lines. Don't know how true that is though.
Doesn't make sense though if it's true, can't be gf then :o.

Probably intolerant to some other ingredient :(

It's similar to decaffeinated products, it can be declared gluten free even if it has trace amounts. But it's something like 20mg per kilo so very unlikely to set off a reaction. I'd say it's more likely that you have issues with corn or tapioca (cassava), as they are the most common substitutes.

    Great losses june and tie.:T

I've spent the afternoon pottering in the kitchen listening to my team scraping a draw when they apparently dominated the game.

This evening's meal is all prepped with enough spicy tomato sauce for another portion and a sad looking swede turned into portions of carrot/swede mash so one in the freezer and one for tomorrow. And I chopped up a chorizo ring into 3-4 syn pieces so that's in the freezer for when I need it.

Shame about DH's present beg but you'll enjoy your day out when it comes. I did like your post yesterday, some good plans for the family and treats on the back of DH's birthday. Have you definitely decided to call target?

Would you post a link to the HB jalfrezi recipe? I've seen a couple online so not sure. Do you use tinned tomatoes or fresh ones?

Thank maman, that's very kind x

This is the recipe - but tweaked it a bit.
    http://www.womanmagazine.co.uk/diet-food/hairy-dieters-chicken-jalfrezi-recipe-5346

Swap the tomatoes out for a squirt of tomato puree and swap chilli and garlic for the lazy stuff out the jar.. oh and leave out the oil.. not sure I remember putting the sugar in either  maybe do this at the end when you can add it in if you think it needs it.

I've never had a proper jalfrezi so no idea if it tastes like the real deal sorry.

In the end, we decided we didn't want curry for tea so I made Chicken Parmesan casserole instead with jacket potato and salad. It was yum though. :rotfl:

    :( to the postman BEG

    Hugs to you TIE xx

I've been up since 4am (long story) so struggled to stay on track with food today. We went to wetherspoons for lunch, and I've not been too impressed with the Singapore noodles previously so wasn't sure what to have. I had the salmon salad and DH had haddock in pomodore sauce with mexican rice. Both under 500 kcal and both lovely! Salad was pretty simple with huge bit of salmon but the haddock stole the show. Just pleased we didn't have the tikka masala which was on special!

Hubby made dinner and it was way too spicy for me so I ended up poaching a chicken breast and having with rice/veg. Dunno why I don't poach more it was lovely and quick/easy to do.

This is going to sound like an odd complaint but as I'm full of cold I'm just not eating enough! I've had 2 syns today and I'm just not fussed about food at the moment, which can be as bad as eating too much. Luckily hubby is in charge of dinner. If it was left to me I'd probably have another bowl of porridge due to CBA.
I really should go and eat something...

I know what you mean I have been like that all week, and still not clear I have eaten a bit more today but not enough. Hope your'e feeling better soon.:)

I think it's more that I can't be bothered with the effort as well as not feeling hungry. I don't feel so bad now but I'm definitely more bunged up

Evening all! Reporting a 1.5lb loss please shala!

Really surprised by that and if I'm quite honest I don't deserve it! Only had 1 completely on plan day this last week and 2 almost on plan days. The rest I had no self control. I'm in the process of starting up a home baking business and I've been making lots of cakes to photograph and it's been very difficult to stay away from them! I've got more to do this week too but I'm going to have to try harder. It won't be so bad once the business is up and running as I will be making things for other people instead of having stuff hanging around.

Had an off plan meal out this evening so I now need to aim for 6 on plan days. I really want my 3st award and to break into the next stone bracket next week so I will need to lose 3lbs.

Well done to all the losers!
