Oh, tweets, your poor son! He’ll not be much use to anyone for a wee while with both arms injured. We never stop worrying about our kids, no matter their ages, do we?

Glad to hear your OH had good news, Denise – and that you’ve got an easier hospital commute in future.

Hope you feel better soon, wiz.

Good work, Rubyslippers, 7-d-w, maman, debjay and mary (you’ll get that award next week, I’m sure).

I’ve stuck well to plan today again. I bought the ‘wrong’ thing at supermarket, but it was a happy accident. I thought I was buying couscous with roasted veg, but what I actually bought was vegetable couscous, ie no couscous, just very finely chopped veg, so absolutely no sneaky added extras. It was ok too. Snack this afternoon was 1 lonely gingernut - don’t know how that happened! (2 ½ ). Later I’ll have toast (4) and jam (1 ½ ).

    Friday – Danger Day
    Breakfast: scrambled egg & tomatoes
Lunch; out with friend – the one who also likes afternoon tea afterwards! She doesn’t get out much, so likes to make the most of it when she does. Can’t blame her.
Dinner: hm lentil soup, fruit salad
    Snacks: to be decided

    Have a good day, peeps.

WI today and I'm down 1.5 lbs and am now into the 13s...only another lb to go to my 2.5 stone.

Had a photo of me at my heaviest pop up on FB this week from six years ago...EEK! My face is GINORMOUS (I'm in the background of a cat picture). I remember the day well, my best mate and I had a falling out because she took a photo of me in the garden and I hated it because I looked so fat. I am now nearly 5 stones lighter than in that photo and don't mind having my photo taken so much these days!

Went slightly off plan tonight and had pie, chips and beans for tea, for a grand total of 30 (delicious) syns. I blame it entirely on my boss who went to the chippy for lunch so I could smell chippy all afternoon (the git!). However, I'm very much of the mindset that it's only one meal, and I'm back on plan in the morning.

    Tomorrow's food:

    Breakfast: Breakfast muffins, banana.
Lunch: Tuna pasta salad, apple, pear, satsumas.
Dinner: Cottage pie (1.5 syns), carrots, cabbage.
    HEA: S/S milk
    HEB: Hifi bars
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Happy Friday everyone. Just after my favourite Breakfast of Boiled Eggs and Toast.

Where you are on the scales BEG is exactly where I need to be! M&S Meal sounds lovely!

Now on my 12th day alcohol free, not sure if I will allow some this weekend or not or keep going. The temptation is there after a busy week. Will decide later.

I know what you mean about the photos Emmylou, I always used to get really panicky when people took pictures. Not anymore : )

    Well done on your loss!

    Morning all :)

Feeling a bit out of sorts this morning after hitting the wine last night . I'd already used 9 syns as I had coleslaw, butter and a 1.5 syn sausage, but after a really slow day in the shop DH and I were both fed up and the wine just jumped out of the bottle into my mouth.... :o

Back on plan today, but we're going away this weekend so it will be a challenge to stay on plan while we're away. A Harvester meal is planned for Saturday night and we'll be eating with DS and DIL on Sunday. At least there won't be as many opportunities to drink wine!

Well done Emmylou. Its good to have photographic reminders of how far you've come. When I'm at my heaviest I avoid being photographed as much as possible but then it's hard to find any good 'before' pictures.

Greentiger - I keep intending to try these vegetable alternatives but haven't done it yet. How did you cook the couscous, is it microwavable?

BEG - that M&S meal sounds delicious! I had a pork shank for the first time in Spain and it was really tasty. We're hardly eating cheese at the moment and my DH adores cheese, he must really miss it but he doesn't complain.

Tete - I like the sound of 'clubbercise'. On the 'How to stay young' programme they concluded that dance is the best form of exercise, with advantages over working out in the gym. I think it's partly to do with the feel good factor.

Well done to all the losers, every little helps, as Mr T says. :T

The weather is supposed to be good for the weekend, so hopefully everyone will get some sunshine.

    Have a good day.

Morning all, STS for me this week - I'll take that and run, all things considered. Still at 12.05 - I WILL get (back) under 12st this week!!

My Clubbercise class was cancelled last night which I was really disappointed about but I did use the time to get in the garden and tackle an out-of-control Buddleia bush so that'll have burned a few calories, I can certainly feel my shoulders this morning!

(ETA - Lois, yes I think the feelgood factor is definitely a, er, factor. I have to be a bit careful with twisty things like dance and zumba though as I have dodgy knees. Sometimes I think exercise is more trouble than it's worth!)

    Today is looking like:
B - Jam on toast (bread as HEB)
D - Ham and egg salad as yesterday
    T - This will be a Chinese I'm afraid

My uncle is up from the south coast for a visit this weekend so we'll be having a few meals out (well, one each day Fri/Sat/Sun), but I'm going to stay on plan for all other meals.

Well done losers and STSers, "Keep going!" gainers, and have a wonderful Friday all! x

    morning all,

went to group last night - not everyone stayed but even if they had it would have been much smaller than groups I've been to previously and another lady rejoined with me :)

Weight was put at slightly higher than my home scales but that is to be expected. I am going to use my tanita scales once a month as they measure boy fat %, muscle mass etc but my ordinary scales are now in the bathroom cupboard right at the back!

Not the best of starts this morning as I have had a cinnamon and raisin bagel - 11syns and its fajitas tonight at my mum and dads but I think what I will do is have 1 with a wrap (9syns but going to try and call in to the shop and get some weight watchers ones which are 5 syn if I can) and then if I have a second I'll wrap it in a lettuce leaf as I quite like that usually for lunch so would be nice for tea :) using my HeA for the cheese.

    Rest of today:
mid morning - apple and banana
lunch: hm soup - sweet potato, butternut squash with onion and red pepper, mullerlight cheesecake inspired 1syn
mid afternoon: heb peanut hi fi - great for me as I have a thing about peanuts recently!
    tea= the fajitas.

also going to see if I can pick up some quark to try with fruit and strawberries.
hoping to do a big brunch of eggs, mushrooms, bacon (all fat removed) and baked beans plus grilled tomatoes tomorrow and then coast through the day on that plus HeB (hifi) and fruit...the damage limitation at my uncles party!

I seem to have picked a tough week to join but if I can get it out of the way by Saturday night that leaves me the rest of the week to be on plan 100% and to try and fit so body magic in :)

DH has decided that he wants to lose a stone before we go on our long trip in mid June so is going to do SW properly. His meals are already SW friendly, the problem is the crisps, toast, cheese, crackers & butter in between!

    Today's plan is:

B - fruit salad, sweetened quark
L - ham salad sandwich (3 slices of crustless for me; not sure how many DH will have but suspect he'll want to syn an extra slice!). Will use LTL mayo instead of butter for 0.5 syns)
D - rice, LO spicy chicken to which I'll add some veg

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread

Syns - 1Tbs LTL mayo 0.5; couples of glasses of wine 12

    So well within syns.

Interesting item in the news this morning about Dolmio sauces

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36051333

Obviously we could have told them that!:rotfl:Certainly not something I'll be wasting syns on. I know what I like for my treats and it won't be a jar of sauce!

Pleased your group went well last night lush. There never is a good time to start so best not to put it off despite the meals out.

Harvester's a good choice lois. Hope you have a nice weekend.

It'll be easier to manage what your DH eats now he's at home denise but (unfortunately for him) he'll have more time to thin about it. My DH is a good weight but he could do with a few inches off his waist. He eats SW dinner no problem and breakfast is OK except that he eats a non-HEB muesli sometimes although with loads of fruit. Lunch is where we go our separate ways and the biscuits and crisps come into play. Is this a long trip in the motor home?

I've done my meal plan from the freezer and cupboards mainly as they're pretty full. Will do food shop later, mainly in Aldi. Noticed Aldi's had quark last week when I was rooting through looking for plain cottage cheese.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, kippers, HEB bread
L: ham, LO mash and veg
D: gammon slices, new potatoes, cauli and broccoli cheese
Syns: quite synful today with cheese sauce but I'm trying to drink water to offset some with my HEA. And then there's weekend wine syns. I feel guilty using the syns up but that's what I save them for. :D
