There's an Ikea mustard and dill sauce on the website at 3.5 syns per tablespoon but you've probably got the traditional berry one and that's not on there. SW website seems like a law unto itself. They say 7.5 for 100g of cooked meatballs.

I'd choose the Thursday evening if I were you. That way, if you have a synful weekend you've got lots of days to rein it back (speaking from experience and I know denise does the same too).
Thanks maman - it's the creamy sauce I've got - you're meant to use milk/cream for it but apparently half milk half water works well. to be fair usually I forget about it and have some lingonberry jam instead using the 20kcal=1syn rule!
I am going to group tonight at 7.30 :) I've already messaged the consultant so have committed to it as she is going to keep an eye out for me. I initially messaged as I wanted to make sure it wasn't a huge group as I struggle sometimes but she assures me it's her quietest group and many don't stay every week.

Is it sad that I'm looking forward to a brand new book etc?? I still have my original one (won't throw it as its motivation seeing what I achieved before) but I gave the one from the last group I tried to rejoin last year to a friend. Going to keep this one to hand like I did with my first one to keep me on track. The only thing I wasn't keen on before is when I first did SW you got a little plastic box file with all the booklets and sheets in whereas the next time it was a little dust jacket type thing which I don't like as much so I think I will get myself a little box file type thing to use!
Stupid question alert: How long do I hard boil an egg? I've only ever soft boiled them before! And if I do two today will one keep til tomorrow lunchtime?

I do mine for 5-6minutes then drain and put in to cold water for a few minutes. I do 6+ at once and they last a few days in the fridge :)

    today:
breakfast: I had a bagel because it needed using and it was the quickest thing I had so that's the days syns gone!
cup of tea (milk from HeA)
    mid morning: banana and apple
lunch: soup my dad made: sweet potato, onion and pepper. apple/satsuma
mid afternoon: 2 hard boiled eggs
    *group*
    tea: more homemade soup :)
I know I don't have a HeB in there atm but don't feel I can manage one after the bagel this morning!

Out at lunch to put fuel in OHs car and get his prescription (plus some cash in cash I decide to buy some hifis at group)

Morning all, does anyone know if any flavoured milks are healthy extras? I need to sign up to the sw website again but never seem to have my pin number and card number in the same place... I'm struggling to have 2 healthy extras each day if I'm not having something with cheese so thought flavoured milk might at least get me drinking it :)

I know some the Tesco ones are, remember seeing that in one of the recent mags. Doesn't look like the chocolate one is though...

Tesco Banana Flavoured Milk, chilled (175ml)
Tesco Strawberry Flavoured Milk, chilled (190ml)

The chocolate Oatly and Koko non-dairy milks always used to be HEA as well, looks like they still are - both 225ml allowance.

    Morning all :)

Had a rainy night and a misty start this morning but the clouds are clearing and it's going to be another sunny day. The cleaning bug continued yesterday with more spring cleaning, indoors this time, but after doing battle with the vacuum cleaner I had to lie flat for a while as my back was killing me. DH usually does it, and now I remember why!

I was going through some stuff that I'd stored away and came across my SW book with all the stickers on the back - I'd forgotten I'd kept it and it made me really emotional to see it, having regained most of the 7.5 stone I'd lost. That was the primary motivator for me to start again. Good luck with going to class.

  • Hello all - I thought I posted yesterday but apparently I didn't!! *head spins*

DH and I had a lovely 3 days away for our 29th anniversary...I did mostly well on the food front

(breakfasts - big bowl of fruit, poached eggs, grilled bacon and beans - we had 3 meals over the space of the weekend...M1 cajun salmon with spicy rice, M2 prawn cocktail, chicken breast and salad...did have 1/2 a panna cotta but that was my only dessert and M3 grilled steak and salad - however I did drink my own bodyweight in cocktails and sparkling wines - ah well you're only old once lol!!) An afternoon tea was in our package but we didn't bother with that....*willpower lol*

Back on plan again now...trying to pull back as much as possible and sticking to SP as much as possible (but with a 0% greek yog for breakfast so not entirely to plan) I just need to get 1lb this week for my first shiney - but I guess I'd be happy with a STS - my sis has to lose 1/2lb to get hers and I know she'll do that.

15 weeks to my holidays with literally no distractions (birthdays or holidays or anniversaries) so I really want to get my head down and stuck in to finally go on a holiday with weight off and feeling good about myself *game face!!*

Well done to SOTW and all who lost...hugs to those who need them :D

I struggle with A as well as I can't (well, shouldn't) eat cheese. There's only so much milk a person can drink! :rotfl:

But I *think* you can choose from either A or B for the breastfeeding extras, although they do like you to up A as the primary choice. Personally I'd tweak and count a pot of yoghurt instead. Have never understood why yoghurt can't be used as an A. I know you can do this on long term SP instead of having a second A choice. But I guess they'd rather market it as free.
  • Can anyone give me information on the 12 week countdown? I've tried the website and I can't find anything :)

What would you like to know? You pay for 10 weeks and get an additional 2 free... need to book any holidays at the time of purchase. You usually get offers every now then with a free book of some sort.

As the others have already said, countdown is pay for 10 weeks and get 2 free. So it's currently £49.50 for regular members. All holidays must be booked in advance and if you can't make it one week you haven't booked, you lose that money. Also you can only purchase them at your registered group, although you can visit any other group while on countdown. Oh, and there's no refunds for future weeks if you decide to leave OR happen to reach target while on a countdown.

There's also the 6 week countdown which is pay for 5 weeks (£24.75) and get 1 free. Same conditions as above but it never qualifies for the free book offer when they're running. I only buy countdowns when there's a offer, although the convenience of not having to have a fiver on me every week (rarely carry cash) is a bonus.
