I'm trying to decide whether to join a group tonight. I lost 2.5 stone last time (put 2 back on in the last 2-3 years) but currently I'm doing quite well with motivation and making good choices. I'm obviously not going to lose much more before I start putting it on but I really don't want to put on more than necessaryWe are trying to save our pennies (having just got married in January, got the keys to our house in February and now a new arrival in November) but I wonder whether the support will help me...
I am trying it alone and failing so I am going to find a group I can get to and rejoin. two minds. I don't know whether to join one for a Monday (my day off) which disrupts my day my littlie or join an evening one on a night when OH does littlie's bedtime (so I can sneak out with hopefully less trauma)...positive of that one would be I'd get a some 'me' time, negative being I'd always weigh heavier than a morning group...
Today:
breakfast: cup of tea with milk from HeA and 1/4 of a bagel - forgot about breakfast after I got to work. so I'm going to say 5syns?
Lunch: pasta salad same as yesterday so: little pasta, bit of cooked chicken, mint sauce, pickled onions, beetroot, peas, sweecorn and tomatoes. cheesecake mullerlight 1syn
mid afternoon: banana and apple
tea - OH is out coaching tonight so he's having a chippy tea. I am going to cook for me and littlie and I think it will be chicken with something...not sure what yet but potentially mash or an ikea rosti plus veggies (carrots, peas, sweetcorn, beetroot and pickled onions!)
ETA:
Maman I'm sure you've given me the syns for the IKEA rosti before but I can't find them - apologies if I'm wrong but did you have them? I'm going to bake/grill them rather than fry!************************************

:Tmidge, a loss is a loss and I'd be delighted if I get that tomorrow.greentiger wrote: »I needed them as 1) team gave away a daft goal, 2) had a man sent off 3) gave a way a penalty – then 4) scored two goals in the last 3 mins to get a draw! Expect the unexpected.
That's some game greentiger, certainly worth a few boiled sweets.
lush, I tried putting some values I found on line for the Ikea rosti through the syn calculator and they're coming out as a half syn per 100g but that seems too good to be true! That's putting in potatoes as free food. I'd say 3-4 per 100g is an average for the ones on the food diary. If you confirm the values I'll give t another try.
If I were you I'd definitely go for the evening WI, it'll be good for you to have some time to yourself. If your starting weight is taken in the evening then it'll be the same each week especially if you could meal plan a similar menu on WI day. Did you hear about the voucher in (I think) Woman this week?
Sorry to hear you're still feeling rough denise. Hope you pick up soon.:)
Weather is glorious here today too lois. I must get out and do something this afternoon even if it's just a bit of a tidy up in the garden.
I'm being very good today as planning to go to WI tomorrow for the first time since before Easter. I'm hoping for STS which would leave me at the top of target range. I don't feel like I've gained but I don't think I've lost either:(.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB Shreddies, strawberries, HEA milk
L: veggie omelette (spring onions and mushrooms) with beetrootSW spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: none planned unless I can't resist some parmesan.0 -

Yeah I am thinking of an evening one being better. I won't skip meals then either (morning group I'd probably wait until after weigh in to eat. OH has agreed to me sneaking out whilst he does a bedtimeI figure a weigh day would probably go: fruit and yogurt for breakfast, salad/tortilla/soup for lunch and lots of fluid then a good tea potentially after group
I bought Womans Own today especially for the voucher
the values I can find online for the rosti are for a 120g servings which is 2 rosti and they are:
170cal
5g fat
26g carb
4g protein. Can't find an ingredient list anywhere :S************************************

Hubby is not in my good books right now. He started to get a cold on the way back from croatia last week and he gave it to me yesterday. I've got a sore throat and am getting a sniffly nose. I feel better after having taken some paracetamol but I have a 5 mile run tonight and an off-road 10K on Sunday. Not happy with him!!
First full day on SW went well yesterday I think. 11 1/2syns and part of that is because I had to find a way to use up the rest of my HexA milk - I only use about 170ml when I have my porridge so if its a HE i have to find a way to have the rest - I don't drink tea or coffee.
Also, does anyone else have difficulty figuring out what to have as their HexB if they don't use it for breakfast? I'm currently having a lot of salad for lunch so haven't got any bread. Think I might pop to the shop and get some @lpen bars or similar and then next week at group by the SW bars.
Planning on making some syn free hummus this afternoon if I can be bothered lol. Bloomin' cold!0 -
The weather is amazing today down here in the SE. I was on the coast earlier so had a cheeky ice cream. Got the smallest size they do and didn't eat it all. I'd estimate it's around 10 syns max but walked over 11k steps, so it'll balance out if I'm wrong.
MrsP - I use Alpens/Hifis (although I'm phasing those out - they're good, but expensive) or Ryvitas. Or I'll use cereal in a pudding, e.g. baked oats, weetabix cake, etc. If all else fails, I always keep some bread in the freezer so will pop a slice in the toaster.
If you only use about half your allowance of milk, I'd suggest using the rest as cheese if you eat it. Some consultants don't recommend doing this but I've done it since day one with both my A and B choices and am nearly 4 stone down now so can't be doing any harm!0 -

I struggle to only have 1 HEB (luckily I currently get 2) but the special k chocolate delight bars are quite nice - 1 is a HEB, the hifi bars are of course the best for chocolateyness but just more expensive. I love the rocky road ones! And the chocolate orange ones!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

That sounds like a good plan lush, especially if you can wait and have your meal afterwards.
I put the info in the calculator counting potatoes as free food and it's coming out as 3 syns for the 120g portion. I might try those myself when I next get to Ikea, it's be good to have something different in the freezer.0
