Inazuma sorry you've had such an awful year but well done for taking back control and making 2016 your year.

I just bought some harissa paste so going to have steak and harissa roasted veg for dinner (saw it in the SW mag) - looking forward to it! I have to think of something for lunch first but I'm at home today so might make some carrot and coriander soup.

About bras, I've always assumed the loosest hook is correct as the bras will also stretch over time so you can then tighten them. I know I can't go straight from a correctly fitting first hook 40 to a last hook 38, it would be too tight. So they're definitely not the same size. I need to go down a band size actually, have been avoiding it as bras are so expensive when you're an E+ cup! Checked out the sales rack yesterday but it was full of A cups. :(

    Today...
Breakfast - Weetabix with apple and raspberries (part A, B)
Lunch - Leftover chilli (rest A for cheese)
Dinner - Chicken something and veggies. Maybe fajitas.
  • Welcome Inazuma!

On the bra topic - I always get measured at Bravissimo and they always fit it on the loosest hook so you can bring it in as it stretches. I wish I could lose some weight from up top but it never seems to come off there. I always lose from my face and my thighs first for some reason!

    Menu today:

    B - 1 x hifi (half heb), clementine, activia
L - Jacket potato, tuna, sweetcorn, light mayo (2) salad, dressing (0.5)
D - Chicken chow mein (0.5), ff greek yoghurt, lemon curd, meringues (2), berries
S - 2 x ryvita (half heb), laughing cow (hea), banana, grapes
    E - Popcorn (4.5), choc rice cakes (5), jelly (0.5)

Pity we couldn't claim Body Magic shineys for keeping up with all these posts :rotfl:

Somebody should make this happen! :rotfl:

Well done to everyone, there have been some great losses coming in! Tete I have also switched to Fridays from Wednesdays due to New Year's Day.

1.5lbs off for me this week so pleased enough, was optimistic I would get a bit more but not bad. Have dipped into the left over Quality Street at work for the last couple of days and went over my syns yesterday, still under for the week but don't want to slip in to bad habits. I'm blaming hormones :o

Going to try the cauliflower pizza tonight, hoping I don't regret it! Have a pack of normal pizza base dough to use up so going to feed that to DH - I'm nowhere near brave enough to try to feed him a cauliflower pizza! :rotfl: Has anyone tried it before? It sounds so wrong but I'm feeling bold!

Off work today so might treat myself to bacon and eggs for lunch as a reward for cleaning the oven and defrosting the freezer (neither of which I have actually finished yet) and also going to sort out any unopened Christmas treats from the pantry and drop them off at the food bank to get rid of temptation. The drop off point also happens to be at the gym so gives me a reason not to back out of going there too!

Sorry for waffling, its a novelty to get time to post properly :o Hope everyone has a fab weekend!

Shrimpy, I quite like the cauli pizza but my tip would be to season the base mix really well. Lots of garlic and herbs, even some cheese if you have any of your A allowance spare (or want to syn it). Without that, it's really just baked cauli. :rotfl:

Thrilled to report a 1lb loss this week as that makes it 5 stone in total. :) Only 2lb to go before I reach target. It's taken me 50 weeks so far so I might make target before the whole year of doing this.
    Happy skips today :)

Wow this thread don't half move, just caught up from page 4 and it's only been a few days, went to weigh in Wed to see what total of all of Dec,xmas and new year damage was and I was +6.5lb not great but had an awfully sad December but back on plan now. I do the computer bit in group and oh my word was it crazy Wed 30+ new members and lots of super focussed oldie members rejoining or just regrouping lol It was fab to see.
    Yesterday was a fab day
Brek- Ham and cheese toasted roll with water melon.
Lunch- Home made speed soup with some fruit and a hifi (3)
Tea- Beef hotpot out of the slow cooker plenty of speed and will boil up some cabbage and beans for extra speed yum!
Plenty of fluids and syns will be for this evening.

Mary-Hinge I started at 27 stone and had 25 syns all the way down, I got below 20 in Oct and dropped down to 18-20 but still having 20 if I need them. x

    Hi everyone,

Newbie here!! I have around 8 stone to lose (I know it's a lot!) Last year I lost around 3 stone on weightwatchers, but then broke my leg and put all the lost weight back on.

I need to kick start myself into losing weight again, thing is WW has changed the way they point things now, and I'm not a fan of it, so thinking that SW is the way forward. Only thing is that I would have an online membership and weigh myself at home, as can't really get to meetings due to work commitments, and still being on crutches, it's going to be difficult as can't really exercise!!

Does SW online have the same features as the meetings? I did WW online as well.

You all seem to be dedicated and doing amazing, this is the support I need!

Looking forward to you being a target member very soon shrimpy.

    to the boiler lantanna.

I don't know the answer to the bra question money (hope you don't mind shortening your username) but loosest setting first does seem logical. I'd recommend anyone to go and get measured properly. Fortunately I don't take too difficult a size now (34D) but once I was measured (in an expensive independent shop) I now look every time I'm in TK Maxx. You still have to try them on though as styles vary so much.

On the big knickers question, we've had many a laugh over that. Good feeling though, real NSV. I think generally we've all stretched our clothes before joining SW so that's one reason it takes a while to drop sizes.

Will make the soup this morning. Also bought a red cabbage yesterday so need to dig out my braised cabbage recipe and get that chopped up and into the SC. Once cooled down will freeze in useable portions.

    Denise

Thanks for the reminder denise. Red cabbage will go on my list today. I use Delia's recipe with a few tweaks.

    Today's plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: probably veg and lentil soup
D: gammon, cauli cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, SW chips
Syns: scrape of spread, cheese sauce, weekend wine.

Just decided on cauli cheese on principle I'd have had more syns if I'd gone out to lunch. Perhaps I can talk myself out of it by this evening.;)
