Pull up a chair and grab a cuppa, kerenccs67.

Hugs, Inazuma; you know you’ll always find a friendly face here.

Thanks, maman, I would have a bigger breakfast when I get home but it’s no more than 2 hours until it’s lunch time. Too long to go without, but a big breakfast is too soon before lunch! Thanks for the suggestion but I don’t like cold frittata (only like cold eggs in egg mayo! Or in salad. I’m fussy.). I definitely think I’d like your melba toast, though.

Well done, debjay, abbe, Emmylou and mary (and tweets lol).

There’s nothing wrong with a fresh start, beanie. That’s what I told myself, anyway.

I’m another who started off as online member, but gave up after I found this forum then, later, syns allowed. The SW site was a faff to get around, syns info limited. The magazine was useful in the beginning.

Did alright today again. I didn’t have my raw veg. I did chop them up when I was prepping the soup – and then chucked them in the pot with the rest! Dozy! I had a bag of Wotsits (5?) instead. Still within syns though, so can’t complain.

On to Friday – it’ll be a challenge – but no grandchild duty!

    Breakfast: bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes
Lunch: out with a friend – must remember the mantra “DETERMINATION”
    Dinner: HM veg soup
Snacks: hexa cheese on hexa toast if I haven’t used them at lunch time/20g sultanas (3), pineapple

Sending you a hug inazuma and good to have you back on board. Great idea to lose some weight and feel better about yourself.:)

:T to all those coming in with losses and well done those who now have their starting points.

I like the idea of those one pot pastas. Let us know how you get on. I wouldn't shy away completely from Parmesan though. It weighs very light IYSWIM and lots of flavour in just a spoonful.

greentiger, my friend texted a while ago to cry off lunch tomorrow because she's been called into work. I'll miss seeing her but at least it'll cut down on synful eating out. Do your best not to undo all the good work tomorrow but enjoy yourself.:)
  • One thing I'm wondering:

    - Working on the "Clean Jeans Test" mentioned earlier by a poster and the way I still daren't actually weigh myself - so am just going by the way clothes fit. Yesterday was a plus. My knickers have obviously stretched to fit Fatter Me and I had to throw out a pair yesterday (as it felt like they might descend round my ankles unexpectedly if I wore a skirt). So that's a plus - first too big item of clothing thrown away:T

    - Re the "clothing tests" as to how much weight I'm losing. I buy my bras from Marks & Spencer and have a question on the sizing of them. As they usually seem to have 3 sets of hooks on, then I am wondering which is the "accurate" set of hooks iyswim for the size on the label. My proper bra size is 36C and I'm wearing 40C these days - but they've stopped digging in like they were and I'm working my way through the sets of clips on them now from loosest to tightest and will then graduate down to the new 38C bras I've had sitting in their boxes still for some time and work my way down from loosest to tightest set of clips.

I'm presuming its the tightest set of clips on those 38C bras that mean I'm 38" round the bust and the next set up mean I've gone up to 39" round the bust and the lowest mean I am pushing at being 40" round the bust iyswim.

Does anyone know re whether its the tightest set of clips on their bras that are "really" the 36/38/40" size marked on the bras iyswim?

    Hi all

An early post from me today as DS2 decided it would be a good idea to be up at 6:15am!!! The upside is that packed lunches are made two breakfasts have been made and eaten and I am now just relaxing with a coffee before I go and get showered and dressed.

    Plan today is:

Breakfast: ham, mushroom and tomato omlette, DG coffee (2 syns)
    Snack: satsuma
Lunch: courgette soup, chicken, forest fruits and ML yoghurt
Dinner: Special Fried Rice (adaptation of the SW Prawn fried rice) Just more bits in it lol
supper: Crispbread (HEB) and lowlow cheese (HEA)

I may have a couple of drinks this evening as I have the syns available but don't really feel like it at the moment, which is probably just as well seeing as it is only 720am:rotfl:

    Have a good day.

Weigh-in number one tomorrow! I've changed my WI day from a Wed to a Fri because 1st Jan fell on a Fri, but I think it'll be better for me. I tended to go off track Wed-Sun after being weighed, so at least if I go a bit off track now it's only for two days before Monday, if that makes sense? I've purposely kept some syns in reserve too, plus I always run at the weekend.

    Happy Friday all!

Good idea - that's why I like weighing in on a Thursday morning. Like Maman I like to have some wine at the weekend and then rein in on the syns from Mon to Wednesday.

Hello, would it be ok for me to tag along again? I have been here before and got a lot of support and help, but have had a horrible year (husband had affair, been going on for years and me bumbling along unaware!) and everything just fell to pieces for me.

Anyway, I am now a bit wobbly, overweight and unhealthy but ready to change with some inspiration and a kick when I need it.

Welcome back. Hugs to you. You'll feel better about yourself and feel much healthier once you lose some weight. Keep popping into the thread to keep yourself motivated. You might also like to post your menus up on here to help with both motivation and for others to spot if you could do things better.

    Agree completely.

    Agreed

I'd also be interested in what others think about th one pot pasta meals. Would be good to have some more ideas as we don't have pasta very often as I'm not overkeen on it but DH loves it.

Sorry you're not going to meet your friend for lunch but as you say at least it will save some syns! More wine syns for the weekend, LOL!

Think this post is long enough so will do another post with today's menu plan.

Back again with the menu plan for today.

B - scrambled eggs on toast; satsuma, grapes
L - HM carrot & lentil soup; pack of Melba Thins (3.5)
    D - fish pie, peas & salad (4.5)

    HEA - SS milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - cheese sauce; Melba Thins; wine syns

Will make the soup this morning. Also bought a red cabbage yesterday so need to dig out my braised cabbage recipe and get that chopped up and into the SC. Once cooled down will freeze in useable portions.

    Morning,

My goodness I was on here yesterday and had a reply typed up and then had to go lol.

Such a busy day, to cut a long story short broken boiler, 3 different engineers, first at 9 am yesterday morning. Finally getting it fixed at 6pm last night!

    Day 5 no chocolate

Feeling very bloated though, not sure why when I am sticking to it!!!!
