Hi everyone! Totally new here -usually just hang out on the MFW boards but I've realised that what I'm doing at the moment (calorie counting on MFP) just isn't working for me this time round and I'm really unhappy with my body.
I'm 5' 2" and about 10 stone (I'm too upset to find out for certain just yet). I know some people would be ecstatic with that but I haven't felt good about my body since last September before I went on my honeymoon.
So I've decided to give SW a try. My MIL and her best friend do it and I know it's worked well for them so I thought I'd take the bull by the horns (or my muffin by its handle :rotfl:) and be proactive.
Will be going to my first group on Monday evening and I've already started to eat salads food and have fruit in the house too. Although I had a chocolate muffin earlier so it's a gradual introduction.
Anyway, I have a tendency to ramble so thought I'd just say hi. I e subscribed to the thread and will try and learn what I can from you guys.
I'd like to get down to 8 stone 10 but that might be ambitious. How do you decide what your goal weight is! Does your consultant give input on that?0 -
You sound like me
I am 5 ft 8 and 10 stone 6lbs but not happy either. I used to be soo slim.... then I met my partner and 3 years later I'm not haha. Can't even blame baby weight as son is 3.5 and I had lost baby weight and more when I met my partner! Good luck

I fear I may be 10st 2/3. I can't blame baby weight either as I've not had any children :rotfl: Can't blame it on the cats either lol
I'm glad I read a post earlier that said a half stone loss was the minimum required to join. I was a little worried they might not let me as I haven't got a huge amount to lose. Only a little bit - I have an active imagination due to anxiety.0 -
*creeps in* someone put some wd40 on that creaky door :rotfl:
I've been abit Awol. A mixture of dodgy laptop and grandma's funeral, I missed weigh in this week due to the funeral and used not going as an excuse to snarf everything and anything  I got back on it yesterday so have a week to undo as much of the damage as possible
Breakfast: Porrige (B) made with water, muller light yoghurt and a pile of berries
Lunch: Cajun chicken breast, wedges (1.5 syns for oil) stirfry sticky veggies (1 syns for honey) and mushy peas. Strawberries, jelly pot(0.5) meringe (3-4) and light squirty cream (3)
Dinner will be bacon, poached eggs, beans, mushrooms and tinned toms
He A milk for teas.
I can do this!
Haven't had time to read back..... Sorry! Hope all are well!

Ooh get yourself on the mortgage boards - loads of ideas to help save up for a deposit on there. Have you got a Help to Buy ISA?
I haven't been yet but isn't it something like £10 to join and about £5 per group? I know I can afford that and I'd budget it in anyway and lose something else if I had to. This is pretty important to me.
It also helps that my hubby and I were given an advance on his inheritance last year so we're actually pretty comfortable - on paper anyway. We're not really touching it and have it stashed away in savings accounts and he has a S&S ISA. So in reality we just live on our wages and have a security blanket.
Also eventually we will reach go and then it'll be free!! (Gotta love some optimism)

We celebration this week as DH has lost 3 stone since Jan 5th! I'm lagging behind at 18lbs lol. We're both happy to be progressing but have a fair bit still to go. We go in holiday end of May and really looking forward to being whales on the beach
Louise I don't find it any more expensive. We are eating a lot more fruit and veg, but I buy the aldi super six and check the offers in different shops.0 -

I don't suppose anyone knows of any NAS cordials that don't contain aspartame? Since I've had fibro if I drink Diet Coke or anything with aspartame in it makes me feel quite ill. I used to drink full sugar Coke and full sugar squash but i would be using all my syns on it- I usually drink flavoured water that is NAS but doesn't contain aspartame and I'm getting a bit sick of it so if anyone has any suggestions of cordials/fizzy drinks with no aspartame I would be very grateful!xx
