Just a quick post while I wait for my hairdresser to arrive.
It'll be an EE day again today:
B - porridge made with water; 1tsp honey (1); strawberries & grapes
L - LO sausage casserole with extra pearl barley, lentils etc
D - steak, chips, mushrooms, onions & salad
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - honey - 1; weekend wine:D
Ended up not having my Ryvita & butter last night - so a few syns saved for the weekend!

Hiya everyone
Weights workout yesterday with the other half and I'm feeling it today, even my fingers hurt when I'm typing, no pain no gain though right?!
Not much going on today I don't think, its dreary outside so I think I'll curl up on the sofa with my kindle this afternoon
Today's menu is:
B - grapenuts with yoghurt (1 syn) and strawbs
L - carrot & bns soup, maybe some bread (6 syns if I do)
T - beef stew with veggies, using the veg bag that I got free from Iceland after buying 2 SW meals earlier in the week
Agree with those saying £3 is a lot for the SW meals but you do get a huge portion. And they are so handy to have in the freezer for those can't be bothered days. Compared with the WW meals which I think are tiny and all have syns.
Well done those with losses this week :T
Hope you all have a great friday0 -
Not sure if it's already been mentioned, but my old consultant has just told me the new womans own magazine on sale next week has a free joining voucher for slimming world xBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Lots of up beat posts on here today (except for your poorly arm lush:().
:T great losses shala and psycho. I'm sure they'll motivate you to have a good week coming up.
Great news about you and the man meg.I think you're best staying as you are, just enjoy being happy. Not sure if I told you about my BIL who rushed into marriage after being widowed. They're still together but neither is happy mainly because she'd been on her own for years and had a good lifestyle with loads of friends and interests and he expected her to settle down to be 'a wife' afterwards.
Glad things are going well for you too lantanna and the fitness levels of course!;)
Louise, if you can afford to go to a class then I'd definitely do it. It'll do you good to have an hour to yourself or take the children with you if you have to. With only 2 stone to lose you won't be committed for a very long time possibly 3 months. SW have a thing called a Countdown where you pay in advance for 12 weeks, get a small reduction on the weekly fee and it motivates people to keep going as they've paid IYSWIM. That might work for you. Meantime I'd do as denise suggested and look at the 7 day sample menus on line and try that for a week. And ask as many questions as you like!:)
I've not done my shop or meal plan yet today so I've had my SW breakfast (baked beans with HEB toast), will see what I can fancy for lunch (soup or JP?) and report back later.:)0 -
Hmm I will have a think ....
Would be nice for me hahaalthough I am a size 10 so not big or anything so I worry people might think I am taking the Mickey.
I read somewhere about egg noodles (dried) being free..... does this mean I could have them every night meal with meat and veg and it be free? Depending on sauce etc ? X0 -

They won't think your taking the Mick although many might be envious. Just say you've still got some baby weight to shift if anyone asks. Some people are still doing that with 'babies' now in their teens!:rotfl:
I had a quick look and Sharwoods, Sainsbury's, Asda and Waitrose dried egg noodles are all free. Other brands might be too but it's best to check. You could have them every night if you wanted but make sure at least a third of your plate is made up with veg and the meat is lean. Don't want to overload you with information but I think there's a list of which veg is best (SW call it Speed veg) in the early posts at the beginning of the thread. Also, SW consultants often recommend variety as you'd get fed up with any 'diet' if you had the same thing every day so while you can have noodles every day it's not recommended for that reason.
I've done my meal plan and food shop so tonight's dinner will be smoked cod with cauli and broccoli cheese and new potatoes. A bit synful but it is the weekend.:D I had a bit of a polishing off lunch of a bowl of lentil and veg soup and a small J with cottage cheese, pickled cabbage, ham and cornichons.
ETA:
Here's the veg list Louise.
It doesn't mean you can't eat things like parsnips, sweetcorn or peas that aren't on the list but they'd just be free food not Speed food and the Extra Easy plan needs at least a third of Speed food to make it work. HTH

Haven't been on in a while, so would like to report -1 lb last week (1 April) and - 1/2lb this week. Happy with the 1/2 off as it's [STRIKE]shark[/STRIKE] star week so I usually gain.
Went for a Nandos last night, stayed pretty much on plan, and then came home and had sticky toffee pudding and custard which was 25 syns - and worth every single one of them! Back on plan today.
I'm loving my new job (today ends the first "full" week at work I've done since 2010) and it's been really good for me food-wise because I have to plan in advance and take it with me; the options within walking distance are a Spar, a Bakery or a chippy!
We also did the Dutch meatballs this weekend - served them with mash and diced courgette (fried in garlic frylight). They were bloody delicious and the mustard sauce was lovely on my leftover-beef-salad on Monday! We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Hi folks. Just checking in with a 2.5lb loss
which I'm pleased about because I had a very enjoyable Easter :EasterBun: and took me a while to climb back on.....:o
Hope everyone is well xx0 -
Yesterday was on plan right up until we went to the nearby pub for dinner where I had fish and chips followed by ice cream and American chocolate... But back on plan today, as I'm out for dinner tonight and can't remember what I've chosen! At least I won't be drinking alcohol alongside it as usual so that will save syns!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16
