Hi all, sorry I'm such a bad threadie, I rush in and out and never have time to actually read and interact! BUT I have now left my office job with the bullying boss :j and am moving into part time teaching which is ace as it means I have more time to spend with my elderly grandma (I'm the only decent relative within about 300 miles) and just more time at home getting my breath back after a very hectic and stressful past three years. I feel like I'll finally have a bit of proper spare time again where I can focus on my hobbies, seeing friends, decorating the house and so on. And of course properly focusing on my diet and exercise.
I must confess that Easter weekend didn't really end last week and what with celebrating leaving work as well, it was a pretty bad week all round. I did manage a half pound loss on Friday though, taking my total loss for this challenge to 4.5lbs. Only another 8.5 to go in the next four weeks!
I'm off work altogether this week but have a lot of socialising planned (ie four lunches out). I'm going to try to ensure all my other meals are comprised of SP foods only in an attempt to counteract my meals out. Breakfast was bacon, egg, tomatoes and mushrooms just need to plan the rest of the week now!
Hope everyone is well and managing to stick to plan better than I am - looking forward to keeping up with you better from now onWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Morning all - WI Saturday and a 1/2 loss better than nowt but I'll have to work a bit harder. I think the main problem is I sit at my desk for 9 hours straight every day. I've decided to go for my body magic awards so hopefully that will help. I'm going to aim for the stars and hope for a 3lb loss this week to get my half stone.
The meal on Saturday was brillaint (if I say so myself lol) - the curry turned out a disaster!! So I went with tried and tested...bruschetta to start (counted this as my HEB) with spaghetti and spicy meatballs (mostly free) and lemon meringue pie (most DEFINITELY not free lol) - we had a real fun time...and I had my weekend wine syns.
Head down for the rest of the week cos next weekend is OUR anniversary (29 years) and we're heading away for a spa break for a couple of days.
Food:
B: 0% greek yog with raspberries and blueberries
L: tomato speed soup and a ham and cheese sandwich (A&B)not sure yet...might do chips and SW sausages with some speed

That's a great idea gfb. It'll make you feel better whether it improves weightloss or not. Do you not get a break from your desk? I know lush tries to get out for a walk and some fresh air at lunchtimes.
Good news about leaving the job tete. Have you got a part time contract to go to or supply?
It does matter what you wear lois but I wouldn't worry about manipulating your wardrobe to get SoW!:rotfl:I think what matters is that you wear much the same every week so jeans is ideal and then perhaps a top/t shirt even if you need to have a cardi over it for the next few months/weeks! SW weighers are renowned for stripping off!:D
:wave:Welcome to new joiners, always nice to see new faces and hear your stories.
Messed up Monday here in that we'll have our main meal at about 3.30 p.m. and then later I might snack if I feel the need when I get home from dance class. I've just portioned up soup for the freezer and left some in the fridge too.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, bacon
L/D: gammon, new potatoes, carrots, cabbage
Snacks: soup or JP
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, maybe 3 syns of chocolate0 -
Hi everyone
I'm stuck indoors waiting for some parcels, really need to do a food shop as well, or we'll be eating dust for tea
I can't think how to describe grapenuts shala they're a bit wheaty and a bit sweet. I'd say they are similar to granola but ridiculously hard to crunch through! I have to soak mine in milk for about 10 mins before I can eat them or I'd break a tooth :rotfl: but have seen on instagram a few people using it as a cheesecake base or topping for their puds so it seems quite versatile.
Welcome ryesmummy :hello:
Well done those with losses this week so far :T
Yay to no more bullying boss Tete :j my OH had problems with one of his bosses last year and it really made him ill, his BP shot up so I'm glad we found SW as it's really took care of it . Good luck with the teaching
So today's food:
B - oats with 2 muller greek yogs (1 syn) and 2 satsumas
L - chicken & boiled eggs made into egg mayo (syns for that) with rocket salad, might also have a JP as well as I'm starving
T - not a clue! I need to do a shop so will try and buy good SW friendly things
Have a fab Monday everyone

That's the brown rice pouches I use too Maman. Oh yes I'm all for treats, right now I need to a make a consistent commitment to losing. My behaviour is more of maintaining which is clearly why I am. So yes I am going to try and have an ultra saintly month - see if I can get something shifted. If I can do it it will be worth it when I've lost some weight. Whats a month anyway, I feel like I'm starting to drink too much so now is a good time to take a break from alcohol for a month and then keep it to sensible amounts in the future
It just creeps up on you too much drinking, I blame Easter it derailed me!! and now I want wine nearly every night - well tough I'm not getting it!
I'd love to get back to 11 stone and then work on maintaining.
Well done on the boobs BEG!! I got a pair of jeans in M&S a couple of weeks ago - think they were £35 but they are nice - straight leg, long, size 14. I have lots of 12s in the house and a size 10 from those days so I just bit the bullet and got a pair in the end.0 -
Oh yes Shala
Pics have been taken. Fingers crossed I can see some positive changes in the next ones. Off to start first weights session tonight, get me........Chest & Back lol and a 25 min date with the crosstrainer / treadmill.0 -
Ohh - the hotel we're staying has sent me an email to say they now have a Shrink menu in one of the restaurants that we are booked into....have a look...
http://www.fratellibelfast.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Shrink_menu.pdf
This is great...the other restaurant we are eating in is like a grill place so easy enough to just get say steak or gammon, it was the Italian one I was worrying about slightly.0 -
That looks fab Gingerfurball! Must go there myself some time. The Pizzas look Good!0
