Morning all
Well done all the losers :T:T
Happy belated Birthday Denise _party__party_ and happy anniversary BEG and Wiz!
Thank you Tweetsadded it on the chart!
Hope the tournament goes well Lush.
:TLantanna, good luck with your next stage. Have you took lots of before pics so you can compare?
Bon Voyage Greentiger :wave:Shala - good luck with going to group, I've been thinking of doing that too. I'm so easily distracted from the plan at the moment, and although I'm not gaining and knew this was going to take a while, I'd like to speed things up.candyapple wrote: »I've been considering going to group as well if I can find one nearby with times to suit me. I feel like I've done well on my own but really lacking in motivation lately.
I don't find going to class easy, that's why I always end up leaving. But I've told OH this time we're not just paying to be weighed, if he's coming with me then he needs to stay. To be fair he prefers this new consultant, it's a fairly new class, so she doesn't have her "favourites" like the old one and she gives everyone a fair chance to chat. Going to try and get chatting to people a bit more so I can stay on my own if I want to  (it's walking distance from the house so we can go separately) and SIL will be there some weeks.I bought a couple of pouches of microwave brown rice from Sainsbury's to try. What's always put me off is it takes longer to cook. They're 2 syns for 250g and only 50p at the moment.
We have these ones, they're lovely. It really helps with portion size too, especially when you have an OH that cooks enough rice for 8 people when he does it!!:rotfl:
It's vile weather here today but I'm organising an afternoon tea so indoors luckily, brilliant timing for a first week back at class:eek: I bought some petit fours from Icel*nd and have worked out they're between 2.5-3syns each so I can join in with a few of those.
Also going to make mini jacket potatoes and have strawberries for myself and OH and cookies, cake and sandwiches for the others. What a palaver, it was only arranged yesterday but I didn't want to say no as OH has said I need to do more fun stuff to help get me out of my funk...
ohh that's turned into an epic post.. apologies :rotfl: been up since 6.30 so obviously gone a bit stir crazy with no one but the cat to talk too!Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes.
Congratulations to everyone who has anniversaries - 54 years Wiz, that's amazing. We'll be celebrating our 45th in a couple of weeks time but probably won't be going out as DH will probably still have bandages on his hand/wrist and I'll probably still be having to cut up his dinners or making sloppy stuff he can eat with a fork or spoon, LOL!
Having a Green day today:
B - mushroom omelette
L - HM carrot & lentil soup; 3 slices of Kingsmill crustless (HEB1)
D - HM pumpkin & spinach curry with rice
HEA 1 - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB 2 will have either some crackers with cheese (HEA2) or may just have a Hifi bar depending on whether I fancy sweet or savoury this evening!

Morning
Happy belated birthday Denise and congratulations for your anniversaries BEG and Wiz.
Feeling rough this morning, I thought the cold I came home from Spain with was getting better, but I think I've had a relapse. Feeling decidedly fed up today, not helped by the lack of customers.
I've been trying to buy a copy of Woman magazine for the voucher, but the shops round here are all sold out, wonder if it's because of the SW voucher? I looked up the times and venues for local SW groups and I must say I don't think I'm as committed to the whole idea of joining up as I could be, as although there were 8 different meetings, I found something against all of them. An evening one would probably work best for me but I know that once we've finished our evening meal I won't want to go out.
Someone poke me - I need to commit myself and do this.
Have a great weekend.

How's that lois? I know it works out over time but personally I'm committed to a morning WI. I have my lightest breakfast (cereal) but others have nothing and eat afterwards. Another option is to go to a teatime (5.30 ish) one and eat when you get back. Alternatively, once you've joined you can go to any group you like although I think changing WI times might be disheartening. I favour the end of the week too so that if you're banking syns for weekends then you'll have a few days to catch up.
You could buy yourself a countdown and commit to 12 weeks. You could be a stone lighter (or more) by the end of that as I'm sure if you're paying you'll be more determined.:)
Congratulations on the anniversaries wiz and beg. It was a friend's anniversary yesterday which raised a laugh but apparently it was Easter Saturday in 1972.
I made a snack of a couple of mini-jackets yesterday evening shala and very nice they were too. I had a dollop of cottage cheese and a cornichon on each. So focus on those and the strawberries and limit the petit fours.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, HEA milk for tea
L: ham with LO mash and vegfish (Bird's Eye Inspiration so very low syn or free), SW chips, mixed green stuff (asparagus, peas, sugar snaps, broccoli) and mushrooms
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, weekend wine;)0 -
Lois, the LM RoRo sausages are still free, it's just new packaging. The vegetarian ones have changed recipe though, and they're now only half a syn each instead of 2.
maman, I get the frozen microwave rice instead of the pouches. I don't eat rice but they don't have any oil so I would treat them as free. Around the £1-£1.50 mark for 4-6 pouches too depending where you shop, so good value.
Don't think I've checked in for a few days, been busy spring cleaning. Roofer has been out, we have some damaged felt where he thinks the water got in but no cracked tiles. So he thinks it's just because of the storm driving the rain in, rather than anything that needs urgent attention.
Another tiny gain for me this week. Have been on plan apart from that little chocolate blip on Sunday, so I'm blaming PMS. So +0.5 for me please Shala.0 -
Hiya everyone not too bad a day I am eating a bit more but, trying to keep to things that are ok..

Would volunteering for social team help to give you more of a sense of commitment going to class Shala? If its a fairly new class they may appreciate extra help. Afternoon tea sounds fab x

I think we first decided on the Easter weekend 1978 and everything was going to be so much more expensive so I just said that we would go for the following Saturday - yep not realising it was going to be 1st April (11 am too). People thought we were mad but we havent done too badly on it so far
.
Really need to pop down to Mums but keep looking out and it is so bloomin miserable and wet - total yuk.
