I'm back from my few days at my sister's. Not particularly SW friendly food and plenty of wine so decided to jump on scales when I got back - looks like I've put on about 2lb this week!!! Need to shift that this week to get back into target range.

B - scrambled eggs & smoked salmon on toast (4 syns as 50/50 bread); bucks fizz (6 syns)
L - still full up from breakfast but may have some fruit later
    D - HM cod, chips & peas

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day

Not sure whether or not I'll have HEB today.

10 syns so far so a few in hand if I decide on crackers & butter this evening.

  • I have people for dinner on Saturday night and every time they come I always push the boat out for them...normally a calorie holocaust of starter main and dessert. I'm hoping to do a SW friendly feast (and not let on lol) - not necessarily dessert...I don't like dessert and they're used to me not eating it.

I was thinking some kind of curry fest....I know I can make a dhall SW friendly, and I was thinking some other kind of either lamb or chicken curry to go with it. Also just plain rice...I'll buy naan for them. Any ideas? :)

    Good Afternoon :)

    Lost 2.5lbs :j:j:j
  • GFB, I have put three of the chicken saag ready sw meals in the slow cooker (from frozen) and passed it off as my own. The recipie is on the back of the pack in case they ask how it's made and if you just add some chopped coriander before serving it is really lovely - can you tell what a naughty cook I am! It easily feeds 4 and with plain rice and naans there will be some leftovers.
  • You could also buy some ready made bhaji or samosas and serve with a tomato and onion salad with a yogurt and mint raita.
Fruit salad (exotic) for pud and let themselves serve their own cream, meringues or brandy snap. Tada x

You could also make some sides SW friendly - there are recipes on the website for onion bharjis and veg pakoras - both of which are Free. You could also make some kind of spicy potatoes.

    Welcome back Mrs Ryan

I'm so glad there is someone else who doesn't like butter on bacon sandwiches Lush... everyone looks at me strange when I refuse it but _pale__pale_ good luck with your goal. I have the PB2 that June mentioned, it's lovely stirred into yogurt/quark with apple slices dipped in as well as on your toast!

Welcome back Maman, hope you had a lovely time and good weather!

  • I just looked up the onion bhajis and they sound lovely!! So after a rootle around on the website (and the magazine) and so far I think I'm going to do the bahjis, and some popadoms and dips, beef randang, aloo gobi with some nice fragrant rice. Will make something like a sticky toffee pudding for dessert (these people love their stick to the ribs desserts) I'l not be tempted by the pudding...but will enjoy my wine syns lol

 well I've gone and joined class again :o SIL was going so I thought i'd go too, it's a different class and a bit earlier which means i'm home for 7 so that's brilliant.

The consultant seems good, her member talk lasted for ages which our old consultant used to flick through and she goes round everyone in class and has a good chat with them  that would be embarrassing if you'd put on so i'm hoping it spurs me on to be losing each week!

Pretty much back up to my starting weight from last year so starting again :( bloody useless I am!!

OH has joined too as he's struggling to lose his last stone, I imagine he'll do it pretty quickly so he'll be a target member by summer :T Used some vouchers from Wom*n magazine so it only cost £5 :money:

GFB - that all sounds lovely, the SW tikka sauce is nice from Iceland too for a quick curry.

TIE, buying them and not eating them is brilliant, no stick needed for you! i'd have had my face in them.. :rotfl:

Right off to log into SW online and download the app then get my snap packed for tomorrow, full day at work so will be taking all food with me..
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.
