Trying to stick to plan a bit better than I have over the last few weeks. I really need to shift a couple of pounds by next Thursday which is likely to be very difficult for me as the most I've ever lost in a week is 1.5lb!

Went a few syns over last night as had a couple of small red wines as it was my birthday

DH is cooking dinner tonight, so looking forward to that.

Happy Birthday (belatedly) denise. I hope you had a good day. There's a few of us on here with March birthdays.:)

Like you, I need to shift a few pounds. I'm not feeling overly fat (probably because of stretch jeans and leggings;)) but I know I can't have eaten off plan so much and got away with it.

How are you finding OH being at home? Is he happy to eat/cook SW friendly?

I've done my meal plan for the week. Only one off plan meal in the diary so far, possibly two if we have lunch in the pub (for football) on Sunday but likely to be a roast so not too bad. I asked DH for some ideas but all he seemed to suggest was 'naughties' in the freezer like pie and Chinese. I'm sure he was trying to be helpful but we've eaten off plan enough so I must rein us in and that stuff can stay there until I'm at the bottom of target range!

Today I've had kippers with HEB bread and nothing yet for lunch as there's very little in. I'm going off to shop now and I'll buy some snacky bits like ham to keep me going until dinner time.

I'm trying to give DH more fibre as he's had a few tummy issues. Because he eats mostly SW, diet's fairly good already. Does anyone use brown rice or wholemeal pasta? any other ideas?

Maman - DH is happy to eat SW friendly. Even when working he was eating SW evening meals so it's only really breakfast & lunch which has changed for him.

He says he's never eaten so much since stopping work! He sticks to SW mainly but also has extras - usually cereal & milk; crackers & cheese etc. He also has butter on his bread and toast which I tend not to.

He's fairly good when he does the cooking although tends to use a little oil rather than frylight most of the time but he doesn't cook that often so not too much of a problem.

Maman, I usually eat Brown Rice and Wholemeal pasta. I stick to Sweet potatoes mostly and tend to avoid the white carbs as such, though I do have them every so often.

Have just sat and worked out my foods etc for the 2nd cycle of my plan. All my training included, will be starting on Monday. No carbs, protein, veggies and a small amount of good fats on rest days, low gi carbs 3 times a day with lean meats and veggies on training days.

Not sure if I said or not but I managed to shift an inch and a half from my waist, one from my bust and one and a half from my legs in the end. Not exactly groundbreaking but slow and steady will do for me. Hopefully the addition of weights will bring some changes.

Now that I'm starting on Monday, the devil in me is saying get a bottle of wine for tonight. This is what I am up against! Myself! lol :rotfl:

    Have a good weekend all : )

That's interesting denise. My DH supplements SW with perhaps 1 or 2 biscuits and maybe extra bread for a sandwich at lunchtime most days. His cholesterol was down to 4 at his last check so something's working!

That's a great NSV with the lost inches lantanna. Your eating plan does sound like SW with some SP days thrown in. But you must be allowed treats. Enjoy your weekend whatever you decide about the vino.;)

I bought a couple of pouches of microwave brown rice from Sainsbury's to try. What's always put me off is it takes longer to cook. They're 2 syns for 250g and only 50p at the moment.

I feel much better now I've done the food shopping and my meal plan. While I do enjoy eating out, vegetables are always a bit thin on the ground. BGTY sausages (2) and mash tonight so just syns for gravy and weekend wine.:D

Like you Maman we enjoy eating out but again have to agree that veggies are usually very thin on the ground. Was really pleased when I went to a small restaurant at the weekend and had a roast dinner and it came with 3 veg! It was actually quite SW friendly, even the roasties seemed to be dry roasted (although I did count a few syns for them!). It was a huge lunch with 4 large slices of roast pork! Had to ask for the gravy to be served separately as I saw that they put a huge amount on when they were delivering a meal to another table! I only ever have a max of 1 Tbs as don't really like gravy very much.

Belated birthday wishes Denise :bdaycake:. We are celebrating our wedding anni today - lovely day with hubby and some retail therapy :D. DH is enjoying his red vino (yuk) while I had a few choccie truffles (gorgeous ones). Had planned on meal out tonight but we were both shattered after trailing around all day so will go out one day next week.

Congratulations on the lost inches lantanna :T:T:T.

Well done with the exercising candyapple :T:T:T

Tried lots of lovely dresses on today - a lot were £140+:eek:. Had no intention of buying but it was nice to see how the other half live :rotfl::rotfl:. Oh nearly forgot NSV for me - dropped in bra size - woohoo - both around (now 32 and cup down from H to FF/G) and another pleasing thing - they were in Debs sale and two bras cost me less than £20 :j. Really need to sort some jeans out - will check wardrobe to see what I have and if necessary will trot off to Sainsbobs while the double up affair in on Nectar points. :D

Hope you all have a good weekend. Would have normally gone for big food shop this morning but had day out instead so will be trekking to Sainsbobs in the morning - oh joy :D
