    Hi all :)

Managed to find a wifi hotspot on board the ferry, so a quick catch up.

As of last night I've got a cold and I'm feeling decidedly sorry for myself - I've managed to go all winter without getting one and now I'm heading back to the uk and preparing to start work, I get one. I could really do with some throat lozenges but the duty free shop hasn't got any. I'll just have to lubricate my throat with red wine. ;)

Had a lovely dinner at the hotel last night, SW friendly apart from a few chips. Pity I went a bit crazy and had a rather gorgeous and synful pudding - a melt in the middle chocolate mousse with toffee ice cream.

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done Loupyluck for SOTW. :T

Orlao - well done for a great loss. I'd be thrilled not to be in the obese bracket too.

june - one of my biggest disappointments when I got to target last time was that my legs didn't change shape. They got slimmer, but still heavy with no ankle definition. I'm prepared for it this time and not expecting miracles, like you I'll just stick to trousers and jeans and dresses that reach the floor.

I'm not planning to have any work done, too much pain and expense for my liking.

Anyway, time for dinner. Catch you all tomorrow. Have a good evening.

It's hard work keeping up with this thread:rotfl:

On the stomach fat, I lost 6 stone a couple of years ago, (put back up 2:o), and I didn't have a set weight in mind when I started. My goal was to be able to see my belly button when looking straight ahead in the mirror. Even when I got to target I couldn't see the stupid thing!:rotfl: I've given up any hope of ever having a half way decent stomach!

Cooked my free turkey today. Thinking I'll probably use some of it to make a curry later in the week. It's massive!

    B: banana and 2 clementines
L: wholemeal sandwich (HEB), 2 light cheese triangles (part HEA) instead of butter, tomato and cucumber
D: roast turkey, mashed potato (milk rest of HEA), boiled carrots
S: fat free yogurt, 2 squares dark chocolate (7)
Back on the slimming world wagon 04.01.18
    Total lost 1st 3.5lbs :j Week 4

Well done to all the losers and a :grouphug: to anyone who wants or needs one.

I started my new job today...first day at work in 5 years  I am absolutely shattered but loved it and am looking forward to tomorrow, which bodes well. There's lots to learn and the person I'm replacing leaves on Thursday, so I need to make sure I'm OK on the routine stuff at least before then! (There are others who can help after she's gone though, so it isn't entirely "chucked in at the deep end")

    Today's food:

Breakfast: Weetabix (HEB) with s/s milk (HEA), apple.
Lunch: Tuna pasta with chopped radish, celery, peppers, cucumber. Satsumas, apple
Dinner: Salmon fillet, new potatoes, peppers, onion, courgette. Melon.

I'm hoping I'll have time in the morning to make a "proper" breakfast (had to straighten my hair this morning) so I can have my HEB free for my evening hifi bar chocolate fix.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Has been a beautiful day today. Been very busy trying to get rid of loads of old paperwork. Shredded a ton of paper and have managed to clear 2 drawers o the tiling cabinet - so 2 more to go! Then to clear the desk and get rid of it to clear a bit of space.

Also did about an hour's digging and weeding this afternoon.

Has certainly been a very productive day.

Has been a good day foodwise.

B - porridge made with water; strawberries; grapes - HEB
L - sweet chilli prawn noodles - 2 syns for sweet chilli sauce
D - goats cheese stuffed chicken breast; roast potatoes, garlic & sweet potato; green beans & brussels - 4.5 syns for cheese

Have eaten an orange; apple & more grapes during the day and evening.

Planning on going WI on Thursday morning and hoping that I've managed to stay within target with not weighing for 4 weeks. Need to weigh as won't be at group next week as staying with my sister for a couple of nights next week.

See that as a good thing, we both know where we are headed. No disappointments for us this time when we get to target :D I was upset I'd lost 6.7 stone and was a size 10 but still couldn't wear some of the dresses etc that I wanted to because of my shape. It does get some getting used too but we are over all that now.

Well I have some NSVs this morning. I tried on a dress (one of the very few I own!) that I haven't worn since I was around this weight. Probably about 10 pounds heavier. And it's gone into the charity bag because the back is lace and it was all puckered up because it's too wide to sit flat. All my "skinny" jeans fit again too, so that's a few pairs that have come out from under the bed. Including one pair I actually couldn't do up before! :j

But I am otherwise running seriously low on clothes, not really enough to last between washing days. Thankfully the Tu sale is on again this week so have ordered some basics to get me through. I love their t-shirts anyway, and I don't really need anything dressy at the moment. And even if I do find work soon, my industry tends to be casual dress 95% of the time so I'm not concerned about having to rush out and buy a new work wardrobe. Have enough presentable clothes for interviews, and they'll do for now!

Seeing family this weekend, haven't since Christmas due to schedules. So will see if they notice/say anything. It's on Friday though, and going out for a meal - not holding my breath for a great weigh in result Saturday! :rotfl:

" A Penguin will always be a Pe.nguin and can never be a giraffe. Be the best Penguin you can be."
    Love this, lantanna.

Hope the antibiotics have kicked in and you’re feeling a bit better, Denise.

Well done, lush, orlao and New Me.

    Congrats. Loupyluck, on being SOTW.

That’s great that you’re settling in and enjoying your new job, Emmylou.

    Enjoy your weekend away, maman.

Thank you for the birthday wishes, TIE. You were spot on with the day.

I am paying a fine to Dechox; dear husband did it again - he forgot and had these made for my birthday. How could I not have one? Shared them with the family last night (9 of us); 3 left .....

I'm thinking of switching to another meeting type instead of SW. I really don't like the meeting format, it takes ages to get going, are all the meetings the same? We have:

Start time - queue to be weighed, and leader talks to new starters separately.
35-40 mins later, chat begins, and is mostly round the circle like this:
So you lost/gained X lbs (we all clap)
    how was your week?
another question or 2 on food/exercise
Are you all set for next week?
    Next person.

It takes about 2 hours and is slow and boring. I went to weight watchers years ago, and their meetings seemed a lot more streamlined, but I prefer the SW plan. It's ending up I don't stay for the meetings which seems a total waste. I could just weigh at home, but I'm not sure I'd be as focussed without the accountability of the "official" weigh in.

My pre-purchase has 2 weeks to go, so decision time soon.....any thoughts?
