Evening, I'd like to join this thread please. I was going to join my local group but I've had an accident and am in a leg brace so I'm housebound for while, i was thinking of doing it online, does anyone else use SW online & is it easy to follow/work out etc?***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0

Any ideas on SW-friendly pre-packed stuff? Sushi? I'm sure I've got a syns book for branded foods like that but would love to know what you recommend?
Thanks! x
Sushi is quite low syn. Even the largest pack in M&S (323g) is only 5.5 syns and most of the rest just 1 or 2. I like the Tuna Nicoise from Pret a Manger but it can be a bit messy if you spill the dressing (ask me how I know;)).
I had a lovely snack tonight to help with evening munchies (i.e. when you know you're not really hungry but want to eat something). Melba toasts with a smear of horseradish and then smoked salmon bits piled on top. Melba toasts are only half a sun eack and I reckon I had less than a syn of horseradish. So for less than 4 syns I had 6 crackers to eat. Much better than Celebrations.
I'm going to start having the Melba toasts when I have soup. Perhaps with Marmite and cucumber.
Good to hear you're back in the zone greentiger. I think a banana on the hoof is a good idea or you could make up a frittata in advance and have a slice of that or cold sausages. If I were you I'd have a much bigger breakfast when I got home. The only day I have cereal is WI day. I like a decent breakfast.0 -
I've just read back three pages to find out why everyone is talking about sausages :rotfl: great idea although theres no Sainsburys near here, so I'm going to try the Morrisons equivalent which are also 1 Syn each
My sleep is all over the place, which is playing havoc with food, but so far on track.
Yesterday:
B toast, cheese triangle, 1 egg, satsuma, apricot (hexb part of hexa)
L 1/2 cup of hm lentil soup
D 1/2 cup lentil soup + sweet and sour chicken and rice (SW recipie no syns)
E 1/3 baked potato and cheese triangle (that was suppose to be lunch!)hexa
Even later 3 skinless chicken drummers . 1 Belgian choc 3 syns
Today
B omelette with veg, fruit
L 2/3 baked potato, tuna, salad 1.5 syns
D fish cakes and salad starter (1.5 syns) then beans and cheese on toast (hexa/b)0 -

Which Morrisons sausages are similar to Sainsburys BGTY?
How are they branded?
Also will look out for Linda McCartney’s rosemary & red onion sausages. Just hope they taste better than the last veggie sausages I bought.
Thanks
EDIT
Are these the ones?SW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0 -
Smedly my local asda has Linda m sausages on 2 for £2 at the moment. I stocked up.
Welcome to the thread Karen.
Annoyed with myself did a sneaky early weigh in, my day is Sunday and I have put 2lb on!
Yesterday stuck to plan
Breakfast - melon grapes 2 x hard boiled eggs.
Lunch - salad rice cottage cheese fat free yoghurt
Tea - kebab salad rice ( was mixed chicken and dinner)
Snacks 2 x Alpen light, Apple, fat free yoghurt, banana.
Syns - 7.5 pitta bread, 7 donner meat.
Need to drink more water. Having to much coffee at work.
On the bus now. Drenched it's rained none stop for days.
Have a good Thursday everyone.0 -
Posting before work to report -1lb for this week please shala
:T to everyone who has lost this week and also to the STSers0 -
Still not decided whether or not to weigh this week! My WI trousers are definitely tighter than they were before Christmas but not so tight I can't breathe! Will make the decision just before leaving for group (after a quick weigh on my bathroom scales); but leaning towards leaving it until next week.
Another EE day today:
B - tub of grapes and a plum at group this morning
L - LO chicken curry & rice
D - steak hache (French burgers made with 5% fat); SW chips, beans, salad
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - not sure but probably some Ryvita this evening
Syns - butter on Ryvita 6 (tsp per Ryvita)
Have sorted most of my menu for the rest of this week and next week and will be using mainly food from freezer & cupboards. Just need to buy fresh foods and top up stuff which is getting very low or I've run out of (several spices are making my curry paste and tagine spice mix yesterday!)
Well done to those who have lost or STS over the holiday period. Welcome to newbies & returners - good luck.
Karen - I've not done SW online but reports on here aren't very complimentary. I'm sure someone who has used it will be along soon to let you know what they think.
Maman - Thanks - think I'm going to get some of those Melba toasts, they sound like an ideal solution to have with soup when no HEB available. Now added to my shopping list for today.

Morning everyone!
On the topic of sausages, I am trying the Tesco Healthy Living ones tonight. 1 syn each. Everyone in group is raving about the Heck sausages but I can't seem to get hold of them.
Menu today:
B - 2 x hifi, clementine
S - Banana, choc rice cake (2.5)
L - Spicy lentil soup
S - lump of cheddar (hea), activia, grapes
D - Sausage cassoulet (2), ff greek yoghurt, syn free lemon curd, meringues (2), berries
E - kitkat (5.5), jelly (0.5)
2.5 syns left if needed
Really pleased this week that apart from the day I ate out for lunch I have been under syns, usually finishing each day at about 13 syns. Before christmas I was eating all of my syns even when I wasn't hungry. Fingers crossed this gets me good results on Saturday! I'm optimistically hoping for a 4lb loss to get my club 10.0 -
I think including everything in balanced amount...thats d key0

Mamman. Can you please tell me about the melba toast? Is it a particular one? Thanks.
