    Morning all :)

DH and I are planning to go shopping for things we're planning to take back to the uk but the sky has been black for a while and we're thinking it's going to pour down anytime soon. It's not sunny all the time here!

Hurdygurdy - so sorry to hear about your friends daughter, that's really sad.

Mary - sorry for your loss too.

Morello - I try to keep portion sizes of carbs down, specially pasta as it's processed, unlike rice and potatoes which are grown. One thing you could try is replacing them with a healthier version, e.g. brown rice and wholemeal pasta. The extra fibre should keep things moving so should help with weight loss.

Right, we're going to take our chances with the rain and hope we don't get soaked.

    Back later.

    LL :)

Big hugs to HG and Mrs H. :(

Morello - You may need to watch your losses for a bit longer to know if the carbs are affecting you, as you may have a pattern. For me, I tend to have 2 slow weeks, 1-2 good weeks and 1-2 normal weeks over the course of a month. So I only look at my monthly average to see if there's any issues that need tweaking. Having said all that though, I don't get on with carbs. Even having bread a couple of times a week as my B will slow my losses down a little. Also agree with Shala to maybe look at portion sizes, this is one thing that SW doesn't teach well (at all, really) IMO.

Wuzz - Having food restrictions does make the plan tougher, but not impossible. I have a vegan friend that follows SW, she fills up on a lot of fruit, veggies, pulses, rice/potatoes, etc. All free foods. Specifically about the recipes, you can swap Quorn for whatever veggie mince (or pulses) that you do like. Most just use Quorn because it's readily available and free.

Don't think I posted yesterday, but was on plan. Here's today...
Breakfast - Usual weetabix with berries and a latte (A,B1)
Lunch - Need to use leftover sausages (2) and some eggs so probably fry up.
    Dinner - Salmon and veggies
Pudding - B2 and syns, as always!

My Friday sneaky peek on the scales is showing I should reach my 3.5 stone award tomorrow (my challenge target!) so fingers crossed it holds. :D

Shala - can you take me out of the challenge this time round please.

I have been off plan for at least a week, and cannot seem to motivate myself to get back on it. This is a common pattern for me - success, success, success and then I seem to have an overwhelming need to scupper my achievements. I don't know why I do it. I thought I'd broken the pattern with SW, but no. Here I am back in the doldrums.

And today I have had the devastating news that my friend's 12 year old daughter, who had a heart transplant recently, has lost her fight for life. I can't think of anything else at the moment.

Really really sorry to hear this. Take some comfort in the fact she is not suffering anymore : (

Hugs to Hurdy and Mary x

Same from me. Thinking of you both at this sad time.:)

I've been MIA for a few days and just managed to catch up with posts. We had a great time on Wednesday. I'm not an Adele fan but it was a good experience to go to O2 and she put on a good show. Meal plan, however, this week hasn't been so good.:o

Back from our few days away - have been travelling around the south east on the buses.

What a brilliant idea! I'm being nosey as usual but did you plan B&Bs? route? sights? I'd love to try that.
Anyway - trying to figure out what to do about my WI day...as I've said my sis and I are joining a class on Saturday...so as I normally WI on a Friday (first thing at home and just in my undies) so I'm clearly going to weigh more on the SW scales...so shall I just take the hit and go from there?

I think you just have to pick a timing that suits your lifestyle. So if you and sis can get to a Saturday morning group regularly then go for it!

I'm eating out again tonight (third in a row) but then I have a break until Easter except for Monday evening. I'll do my meal plan and shopping list later but plan to stay as on track as possible. Today I've had a SW breakfast (beans and HEB toast) and I'm just going to have a SP lunch (veggie omelette with beetroot) and then that's it until tomorrow.

Have a good weekend all, whatever your plans.:A

Maman - we were away in our motorhome based in Canterbury and you can get buses from there to all round the south coast and then back again. But I think it would be great to do it in B&Bs and then you wouldn't need to keep returning to base every day. I'm sure you could do similar in Hampshire (I think that's where you live!).

In fact you could probably work your way around England if you wanted to and had the time to do it!
