Morning all. Had a sneak peek at the scales this morning (Monday is WI day) It showed no loss this week (also no loss last week) Bit disappointed and beginning to wonder whether stuff like rice/spuds/pasta are only Free if you don't eat too much of them.....yesterday I took leftover SW risotto to work for lunch (free) - and then went to partner's for dinner and we had - unplanned - SW egg fried rice, also free. Both dishes had loads of veggies in. Glass and a half of wine. Had overnight oats for breakfast. All within limits but isn't resulting in weight loss for me. Any wise words on where I'm going wrong, and how much is too much? Thanks all xx0

sorry I've been awol, I've been reading but not really felt much like posting.
my first gain since NYE yesterday +0.5lbs I know it's only little and I totally expected it as I had a really cruddy week but it's really thrown me in to the "what the heck" frame of mind. comsumed far too much chocolate last night to soften the blow which resulted in lots of guilty tears this morning!
Missy H is really unwell at the moment and in a bad pain flare up so I'm rushing round (more then normal ) and not focusing on my eating really. Grandma Hinge left us yesterday after a battle with the big C and everyone in the house of Hinge is feeling it
Trying hard this week to keep on plan, 200 leaflets I have to deliver promoting our SW group in exchange for shop credits.
Today:
B: sw burger, 2 bacon, 2 poached eggs, tinned tomatoes and beans 40gms 1/2 fat cheese (a)
l: strawberries, melon, apple and 2 alpen bars (b) aldi curls (3)chicken curry (hm speedy sauce) with rice, muller yoghurt penguin (5.5)
2 litres of water/nas squash, 1 cuppa (1)
fingers crossed I can stay away from the chocolate :rotfl:

I'm actually looking forward to really getting stuck in - and I am a really competitive person so I'm looking forward to getting shineys lol0 -

Welcome to the board triker and Brighton Belle:wave:
Interesting about the liquorice lantanna, I never knew that.. once this lot is gone then I won't be eating much again!!
Hope the work situation works out Tete, if they are treating you like this then it's probably best not to work there and find someone who appreciates you xHurdyGurdy wrote: »Shala - can you take me out of the challenge this time round please.
have done, be kind to yourself and we're here when you're ready to get back on track xxAny wise words on where I'm going wrong, and how much is too much? Thanks all xx
Some people don't lose well eating a lot of carbs, I think Lantanna said she doesn't so maybe it's worth limiting these a little to see if it helps? Were you meals at least a 1/3 speed?
I think portion size does matter even though SW say eat unlimited amounts. So maybe just check your portion sizes too...
Good luck, stick at it.. xxgingerfurball wrote: »I'm actually looking forward to really getting stuck in - and I am a really competitive person so I'm looking forward to getting shineys lol
Good luck GFB, i'll be getting back on track next week so you'll be my inspiration!
Right have to go get ready, we're off for afternoon tea in a bit in a big posh hotel  i'll be proper out of place :rotfl: hmm how many syns? :rotfl:Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Morning all,
weighed myself this morning, not good. Think I am going to try and avoid doing that for a while to see how I get on. In fact I may put the upstairs scales away, take my body stats tonight on my tanita scales and then not do them again for at least a week!
Anyway enough negativity from me! Today so far has been:
Tea (milk from HeA), fat free natural yogurt (free) frozen summer berries and a drizzle of zero syrup (free)
I'm about to make a second cuppa and have a piece of fruit
Lunch will be homemade leek and potato soup and another piece of fruit
mid afternoon I'm going to have my 1 syn mocha
tea: I think SW pork sausages (free yay!) with chips and beans for OH and little, I'll have mine with a small jacket potato and cauliflower, broccoli (from the pack I got free for buying the sausages and a SW meal at Iceland) and sweetcorn
this evening I'll have a hot chocolate before bed I think(2syns)
It's payday in 6 days (not that I'm counting down or anything!) and littlies birthday next Saturday when we are going to the wildlife park then Easter Sunday I have started preparing an egg hunt for her then we are off to the caravan for a couple of nights - not going to worry too much about food (mil sorting) and there will be lots of walking and playing done
Got Bella, and found a Monday group at 9am...in fact my next door neighbour goes to it (well until she goes back to work) and she's lovely so hopefully we can maybe go together for a few weeksthat said I've just looked and the voucher expires on the 28th so I may need to wait for the next one
Hugs to Hurdy and Mary x************************************

Hi All,
I'm here to ask you opinion as to whether it's worth it for me to join SW.
I'm quite overweight now. Was a size 8 and 10 at my biggest but I've stopped smoking and started having injections which induce the menopause so I've gained loads of weight and I'm pushing a size 16 now, which at 4 ft 10" makes me look even bigger. Ive never been very good with diets but I have heard that SW is very good and you don't feel like you're on a diet. The only thing for me is I'm a very very fussy eater. I'm vegetarian and also don't eat fish, but not vegan. I don't like spicy foods and not into Thai curries that sort of thing, basically I'm not very adventurous and quite frankly don't want to be. I also detest quorn mince with a passion. And some of the SW veggie meals are made with that stuff, so that's turned me off quite a lot.
What I'm asking is in your opinion is it worth me joining SW? I think I may have to do it online as the groups near me start before I've finished work.
A bit more info for you, I live on my own, I do need to do more exercise, but due medical conditions it hasn't always been possible. I don't know what other info I can give to help you to help me.
Anyway, hopefully some of you could give me your opinion on whether it's worth it based on your experiences with SW.
Thanks,
Wuzz
Hi Wuzz, welcome to the thread. I am a big fan of SW and believe anyone can lose weight by following the plan as it is very flexible. One of the key points of the plan is to eat lots of fruit and veg, which seems to lend itself very well to a vegetarian like yourself.
SW used to have a Green plan which works well for veggies, but they no longer provide info on the website or at their classes so it would be quite hard to follow as a newbie.
If you like you could tell us what sort of meals you're having now and we could advise on how to make them SW friendly.

In a bit of a huff, got on the boots scales this morning to see what my body fat is and its shocking, compared to what it was this time 2 years ago..........shocking.
Have 2 weeks now exactly until I have to submit my measurements etc and before I can commence training with weights. I'm actually pretty disgusted with myself. Cant believe how far I've let myself stray from where I was.
On a plus I went round the big park 5 times yesterday which is the most I've ever done and have hot yoga tonight.
Strictly no alcohol or badness now for 2 weeks, my size needs to change asap. Yesterday I did feel like my sides are toning a little but I'm not entirely sure if they are going in or my stomach is getting bigger which makes them seem smaller. Anyway my weights not changed.
Sometimes a kick up the !!! does you the world of good and I'm hoping this does for me.0
