Thanks for the chart Shala! Ooh, I'm only 1lb from challenge target already. I'm going to leave it for now though, two big losses in a row makes me overly ambitious. :rotfl:

Klug - Could he take meat/eggs but in a cooler with ice packs? Otherwise veggie protein (beans, etc) should be fine and nice mixed into say a cous cous salad.

The normal sachets were removed from the HEB list a few years ago, they don't have enough oats in the packet to qualify unfortunately! I think the multigrain ones still count, but I haven't been able to find these in ages (and I just portion out myself now as mentioned).
Of course, you're right I should have put multigrain in my post. I've seen pots (too much for just a HEB) but not sachets although I don't really look as we just have basic oats here.

At the minute my diet is very clean, the only time I am meant to be eating carbs is directly after exercise. Meant to be sticking to the low sugar veg - so mostly green ones and some healthy fats are allowed.

That's ideal as you go to the gym before you have your dinner. That's when I'd really miss carbs although I'm happy with a SP lunch. So what you're doing is a bit like EESP with one carb meal moving closer to EE in each phase.

Hi, hoping you slimming world geniuses can help please. My son ( aged 26), is a Paramedic and consequently mobile all day. He wants to do slimming world but is reliant on packed lunch food as he is never at base. As he is mobile, there is no fridge facility. He takes a flask of soup but is now looking towards salad or similar. What can he put protein wise with the salad which won't need refrigerating? He is reluctant to take meats/egg etc due to the heat in the vehicle. Someday he eats at lunch time, others, he's on a job and it may be delayed by several hours so it needs to be keep-able.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

I'd agree with june about keeping stuff cool. You can buy fancy lunchboxes but a mse way is to freeze a small bottle of water and put that in with the packed lunch. For a meat free packed lunch I'd make a pasta salad with roasted Mediterranean veg and then stir in a tin of red beans for the protein. He could make a lot in one go and keep it in the fridge. If it seems a bit dry then just stir in a bit of tomato puree. If he has time to make himself a cooked breakfast with fried potatoes to fill him up first he could keep his HEB for lunchtime and have a sandwich too.

WI this morning and I'm delighted to say I gained 3lbs! I'm delighted with that as, although it takes me to the top of my target range, I don't need to worry about having to lose in the coming week. That's 3lbs in about 6 week with loads of off plan food in between.

I went to a different group this morning and it was soooo much better than my own. The consultant was great and got everyone talking in groups and exchanging tips. Unfortunately I really don't think a Monday morning group would suit me as I save syns for weekends so I'm probably at my heaviest on Mondays. Friday morning would be best for me perhaps I'll look out for one of those.:)

    Well done, Lois and BelsyBoop.

Congrats, june and Dini, on being SOTWs

Great work on that chart, shala. Thank you.

You’re doing well with your new routine, lantanna.

maman, I think that 1 point is not enough - and it was a pen in added time to rub salt into the wound!

Hello Klug, would a wee insulate lunch box with a frozen block be of any use to your son to keep his lunch fresh? Oops, loads of peeps got in first!

Well, I’ve got steam coming out of my ears today. I have to own up to +2.6lbs this week. That’s more than I’d lost the previous 2 weeks together!!! Grrr. I need to get my act together this week as it’s my birthday next Monday and I’m going out with the family on Sunday,

    Monday’s damage

    Pre Breakfast: banana
Breakfast: hexb muesli, little hexa milk, a pear and an apple
Lunch: chicken, couscous, cherry tomatoes, chickpeas, syboes, red pepper & radishes, WW mango yogurt
    Snack: Be Light crisps (6)
Dinner: mince (2 for gravy) and potatoes, cabbage
    Snack: hexa cheese & grapes

    Saving 7 for the weekend

maman, it's amazing how much difference the consultant makes. We've had a lot of members change groups since our new consultant came in, she's just too different from the old one. Does that one do any other groups, or just the Monday sessions? FWIW, I have more syns at the weekend (although I'm not a saver like you) and I never weigh much heavier on a Monday. Maybe 1lb if I went overboard on salty things. But if you do that every week, it'll be your new normal anyway. I'm surprised how popular Monday groups are though, people love coming to our Saturday group because they can cheat for rest of the weekend then have all week to work it off. :rotfl:

Evening all, not had a chance to check in for a while so fallen a bit behind on the thread - hope everyone is well :) WI last night with a gain of 1.5lb :( I was off plan over the weekend but didn't think I'd gone too off track - looks like it had more impact than I realised. I have realised two things though which I'm going to try and address. Firstly, I've realised I eat my meals very quickly - so going to try and slow things down a bit. Also realised that whilst I no longer binge on naughty stuff in times of stress, I am still eating out of stress at times. It's fruit that I snack on, and I know technically I can have as much fruit as I like, but stress eating isn't good regardless of what it is I'm eating. So I'm going to try and think more about why I'm snacking, and not just shove the next bit of fruit in my mouth!

    Hiya :)

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done to both SOTWs :T

Tonight's meal out was OK from a SW point of view, I had melon and ham to start, followed by steak (without the sauce), carrots, broccoli and roast potatoes - I only ate a couple of small ones. Pudding was banana split, so there were syns for a small portion of ice cream. I also had half a bottle of wine and I was hoping to burn a few calories on the dance floor, but unfortunately DH isn't feeling well so we left early. All I'd eaten during the day was overnight oats and some HM soup - pea, with added speed in the form of onion, celery, carrot and aubergine, which was very tasty. Plenty left for tomorrow's lunch.

Another fan of liquorice here, it's been so long since I've had any! Can't stomach liquorice tea though, and I really like herbal tea. I buy a nice one here (in Spain) that's really good if I'm feeling a bit iffy, stomach wise - it's fennel and camomile, which does taste vaguely of liquorice, but not too strong. I always take a couple of boxes home with me.

Just watching a programme about the Carpenters on BBC 4. So sad that she thought she needed to lose weight when there was nothing wrong with her appearance and died of anorexia.

    See you tomorrow.

Shala, I love liquorice I would have eaten it all by now! I feel lonely not being on the chart, which is a pit pathetic. Not knowing what is or isn't happening is frustrating. As I'm slobbing round in PJs and tracksuits (can't fit things over my leg) I don't know if clothes are tight. I am really trying to stick to things, but the lack of movement is not helping.

    Well done SOTW excellent effort.

Lois the Carpenters film used to make me cry whenever it was on. I'll have a look for that programme on catch up.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sun!
