FE I joined the hairy bikers club once, was looking for inspiration for my veggie OH but it was so uninspiring. There was a menu planner that actually had takeaway curry for one evening, and fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. Absolutely nothing that i hadn't read a hundred times on other sites and a huge waste of money imho. Also they have spammed my email relentlessly ever since. I'd recommend the recipe books but the club itself is just not worth it.

I've managed to take some small steps to address my stress points at work, just need to remind my brain that I don't need comfort food anymore. Dreading weigh in tomorrow, but I'll draw a line and move on. Hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine, the birthday girls are having fun and the poorly peeps feel better soon xx

Hi everyone. I am starting SW tomorrow. I have less than a stone to lose so not joining a group, have bought the books and hopefully can figure it out as I go along. Fingers crossed! Can anyone just please confirm for me that 2x Weetabix original is ok for my hexB? It's not on my list. I normally eat a porridge sachet but wow how many syns!! Thanks in advance :)

2 Weetabix (or store brand equivalent) are fine as a HexB, I have this probably 3-4 times a week because it's so easy. For porridge, you can have 35g of any brand of oats. What I used to do when I was commuting is on Sunday evening, I would pre-portion a week's worth into those little snack sized bags (or small reusable tubs) then take one per day with me. Only a few minutes effort for all the convenience of a sachet. :)

Hi FE - no idea about the Hairy Bikers but some of their recipes adapt very well to SW. I often think they could easily reduce the calories even more in their recipes by replacing oil with Frylight for example. I can't be bothered with calorie counting either.

They certainly do! I'm having their yummy braised steak for dinner tonight.

It does seem as if both the HBs have gained quite a lot of the weight they lost though. They'd be better off doing SW!:D

:hello:FE, not seen you around for a while. We had a bit of a discussion around mixing things with SW this week. Lantanna's trying a meal plan from her personal trainer linked with exercise programme. I've heard SW links well with 5:2 if you can cope with the fasting days.

Welcome dippy:). If it helps to have a sachet then Oats so Simple original and honey flavour are HEBs. Lots of cereal bars are on there too of you need something easy and quick. If you've got more time then I'd have something substantial for breakfast.

After a lovely day yesterday I'm back on plan today. I decided on a SP lunch as I ate serious amounts of pasta in creamy sauces last night. I'm going to go to SW tomorrow morning as I must face the music. I just know I've gained just hope not so much to take me out of target range.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
    L: ham/mushroom/tomato omelette with beetroot
D: HB steaks with mushrooms and onions, SW roast potatoes, parsnips and carrots, cabbage, cauli, broccoli, gravy
Syns: squirt of syrup, weekend wine:)

Good evening all. After a good weigh in last week, it's +3lbs for me this week  I ate my own (substantial) body weight in chocolate this week though so actually thought it'd be worse! I'll be away next weekend so going to weigh in early. Hoping I'll be able to undo at least some of the damage by Friday morning.

Hello all, hope you’ve had a good weekend.

Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better, Arkers.

Tete, I had a micra Colette a loooooooooong time ago. It was my first brand new car and I had her for 8 ½ years. I’ve been through a few different cars since, each for about 5 or 6 years. Right now I have a Focus which will be 5 years old soon. It has that self park that means it reverses into spaces all by itself – I LOVE that. I think the Fiat 500 looks soooo cute, lantanna, but not big enough for me right now, with ferrying growing grandchildren (size, not number – I hope) around. Whatever you choose, Tete, enjoy it.

Happy birthday, maman. And your team gave you a win to help you celebrate!

Well done, selement, TIE, musogirl and june.

    Delighted for you, Abbafan.

    Hiya, dippydoda!

I had a so-so day yesterday but a bit better today.

Breakfast: boiled eggs & 2 wee wholemeal bread toasted (6)
Lunch: hexb wholemeal roll spread with a little tomato sauce (1), bacon, WW layered fromage frais
    Snack: caramel snackajacks (5)
    Dinner: kipper, potatoes, green beans
Snack: hexa mini babybel light, grapes

    Take care, everyone.

You're right the team were good to me but a point for you isn't bad.:)

My DH was given a Fiat 500 as a courtesy car recently. I think it has a lovely retro look but he felt it was like a pedal car and (more seriously) felt quite intimidated on the motorway with the lorries going by and so little power.

The HB steaks were yummy. Very few LOs for tomorrow:o.

Thanks for the friendly welcome guys. I'm excited to get going. Any tips on how to split Hex A allowance? Want to use skimmed for tea but almond for breakfast. Have no idea how to divide it. Some things are so confusing!

    Morning all :D

Reporting in with a loss of 1lb this week. :j

I'm so pleased, you'd think I'd lost 10lbs! My mini target - to have lost 40lbs before I leave Spain (next Monday ) - now seems very doable. I have 2 dinners out this week though so it's going to be a challenge. I'll also be out next Saturday, but those are the only days I'm going to drink alcohol and I'll be attempting some EESP days in between and drinking more water as well. Does tonic water (slimline) count as water? I drink quite a lot of that instead of wine.

Dippy - some people measure out their allowance of milk into a jug to keep a check on how much they're using. If you're having half your HEB for skimmed and half for almond milk that would be 175mls of skimmed and 250mls of almond milk. I recommend you check the almond milk as I'm not sure they're all the same.

Candyapple - hope you're feeling better today. Love the 40 small presents idea for your DH birthday. It would be great to hear what you buy if you don't mind sharing.

All these 40th birthdays are making me feel old - my DD is 38 this year so we'll be celebrating her 40th in 2 years time. It seems like only a few years since she left school. :o

Good luck to everyone for your weigh ins, have a good week.
