  • Hello all - still here. We weren't at work yesterday so didn't get a chance to get on the interwebs...all caught up now :)

Weekend (away for work) food was pretty ok...definitely SW for breakfast and lunch and as much as possible when we ate out (for 4 nights!!) definitely too much wine...so I'm just going to draw a line under the weekend and go from here...hoping for a stay the same this week at best I think!! Time'll tell :D

    Food today:

B: grapefruit, porridge (made with almond milk) and blueberries
L: 0% fat plain yogurt and strawberries
D: not sure yet...looking through the SW mag for inspiration :)

    Hiya

I was expecting to see the weekly chart - I hope Shala is ok.

Just had the breakfast oats that I was going to have for breakfast - I didn't feel hungry first thing and then popped out to see someone, got chatting, the next thing I know its midday and my stomach was rumbling like thunder!

I can't remember who it was, but someone here on the thread said that a HEB of porridge isn't enough - overnight oats is very filling, and you can make the portion size as big as you like depending how much of the free foods you include.

Two weeks from today I will be on the ferry returning to the UK and I really want to be 3lbs lighter by then - that will take my total weight loss to 3 stone. So I'm thinking of doing a few SP days. The only problem is that between now and then I've got a BBQ (tomorrow), DH's birthday on Thursday (meal out but I'll drive so no wine syns), golf dinner and dance next Monday, another dinner dance next Wednesday, St Patrick's Day next Thursday (an Irish themed meal out with disco). So it's going to be a challenge!

Life does tend to interfere with losing weight - what challenges are you all facing over the next few weeks? No doubt Easter will be high on the list for most people.

Hope you all have a good day, stick to the plan, drink plenty of water, and enjoy whatever syns you choose to have. :D

    LL :)

ETA p.s. just noticed my signature says I've lost 37lbs, which doesn't match my belief that I need to lose 3lbs to have lost 3st - I need to check and see where I've gone wrong!

Back again! We got home earlier than expected so didn't need to buy lunch while we were out and about so stuck to plan with the pepper & sweet potato soup I made yesterday evening ready for today.

There's enough left for tomorrow's lunch as well so that's a bonus too.

Ditto Lois, hope everything is ok shala

We've got a few challenging weekends coming up, but I'm just hoping that I can make good choices.

We're going to see Scooter this weekend, so there'll be some drinking involved there, and OH will probably want some hangover food the next day

BIL and SIL are down the weekend after, SIL want's to have a big st Patrick's day night out (eurgh!) and there will probably be meals out and take aways and lots of alcohol involved. I think they're here for 4 days

Easter isn't a huge deal in my house, I'm a Christian but OH doesn't care so there might be an easter egg each, but not much more of a celebration. I've got a night out with work on the Thursday and meeting up with some friends on Friday during the day. OH was hinting at a weekend away the rest of the time, we'll see what happens there

Start of April is our 13 year anniversary, I've suggested a meal out, and there's a possibility OH may produce a ring quite soon (there's been a lot of hints, but that's been the case for a while!) so he might pick up on that. It's also his birthday the second week in April and we're going to his parents for a long weekend. That always involves meals out, takeaways and lots of cakes and biscuits, even though his parents hardly eat!

We've got another set of friends visiting in the middle of April for a weekend, another night out, another takeaway/meal out situation....

Phew, I think that's all! Reading that back I'm wondering if I should adjust my target lol. I'm going to have to be very careful not to put weight on, never mind losing any!

afternoon all, sorry I have been awol again recently. I really have been up against it healthwise. I left my sinus pain for too long then the dr won't give me anything anyway and on top of that I managed to get a throat and ear problem too and now it appears I have a cold sore for the first time ever but its huge and right under my nose and very unsightly :( I have been to the dr today and she has swabbed my face just to confirm it is a cold sore and has said I'm to have a blood test (first apt I could get was next Tuesday though) to see if I have an under active thyroid which may be what is behind my extreme tiredness, being so run down, bad skin etc etc etc so we will see.

She is also going to refer me to weight management to see what they can do to help. feel embarrassed to be referred but I suppose that is what they are there for really :/

Today I have had 2 bananas and half an apple ( dropped the other half and know how long it is since the office floor was cleaned so not convinced that just rinsing it would have been ok!) and now tucking in to a plate of cous cous and chicke peas with noodles mixed with grated carrot and 3 cocktail sausages and 2 mini falafel type things which the chief exec has passed our way as his meeting attendees didn't eat most of what was ordered in! syn free tea tonight as it's chicken breast with bacon on top (all visible fat removed) and I'll have mine with lettuce, beetroot, pepper and tomatoes

flavoured free sparkling water to drink along with water and tea

I got to the bottom of my weight loss mystery, and disappointingly, my signature is correct. If I lose 3 lbs by the 21st I will have lost 1 stone while I've been in Spain, and I was thinking I'd lost 2 stone before that but I forgot about the little blip back in October when I went off plan cor a couple of weeks and gained a few pounds.

Anyway, I'm still going for the 3 lbs, then I'll be aiming to lose another 2 lbs to get to 3 stone.

It's the mini targets that focus my mind!
