Thanks for the chart shala, and hugs to you, lush, TIE, june and anyone else who needs them. It's a grey day in London and the people I work with are winding me up, but we're half way to the weekend and spring is (hopefully) on it's way so I'm trying to think positive.

I've not been sleeping particularly well, so I'm struggling more this week than I did last week. I need to be better organised with planning, we're out of frozen berries for overnight oats, although I bought some fairly tasteless fresh raspberries and strawberries last night it just wasn't as good this morning. The cupboards are pretty bare too. I scraped together a ham and veg frittata last night, and I've instructed OH to make a bean chilli tonight (I dread to think what state the kitchen will be in when I get home!), but I forgot my leftover frittata for lunch today so had to go up to the canteen with all the temptation that entails. Ended up with a jp with tuna and cheese, plus a tub of grapes and melon for my sf, and the obligatory bag of popcorn.

Heading out for a quick drink tonight with a girl who normally works remotely, but I'll try and stick to one or two vodkas. Tbh, I've kind of gone off alcohol (like you shala, I don't think that's every come out of my mouth before!)

Hope everyone has a good afternoon!

I saw somewhere that the Arla or SKYR yogurts are quark, can't remember which - does anyone know if that's true - it may have been instagram I saw it on. Only a few syns each from what I remember...

It's the Arla Protein ones that are quark. Skyr are just strained yoghurts. I used to eat quark all the time but had to stop as even only having one portion a day was setting off my lactose intolerance. :(

I've always found snacking difficult. I really like bold flavours but nothing overly salty or sweet, which most snacks tend to be one or the other. Maybe I'll just put chocolate back on the menu. :rotfl:

    Hi everyone

I'm pleased to report a 2.5lb loss after 2 weeks of gains hurrah! I'm attributing this to 3 days of SP which worked so well for me that I'll definitely be working it in at least 3 days a week. I didn't think I could live without carbs or bananas but didn't really miss them! Well done to june for SOTW and any other losers this week. Big hugs all you maintainers and gainers and hugs in general for anyone who needs them. I'm feeling very teary today after a blazing row with OH who has now stormed off to the gym. We've been arguing loads lately over stupid stuff so we may be nearing the end of the line :( Although this would normally set me off on a binge-athon but I've been quite well behaved today food wise so that's a nice little bonus!

I fell off the chocolate wagon on my 1st day of SP. I felt really sick in the evening (assuming it was some kind of daft carb withdrawal) and could only face fruit but that also made me feel sick and all I could keep thinking about was chocolate! So in the end I had a cadburys caramel and it was completely worth it. I'll try again next Lent :D

Happy birthday deb hope you're having a good day _party_

    Have a good Wednesday everyone
    xx
  • Afternoon all :)

Hugs to all who are down...my DD suffers from anxiety and I know how debilitating that and depression can be.

Thanks for your hard work on the chart shala - even when you're not on top form...that's so kind of you.

    Happy birthday Debjay!! :)

So my sister and I are going to bite the bullet and join a SW class...(maybe I said this before??) but she is on the Michael Mosely diabetes diet (VLC!) and she has lost 21 lb which is amazing as she'd been doing nothing but gain for years (shows what a health scare can do for you!!0 but her weight loss is now dragging (she lost nothing last week and averaged 700 - 800 cals a day!)

So I know i personally will have more accountability if I go and get weighed in at a class...plus I was saying to my sis that she needs to be doing something more sustainable...that low a calorie diet would only lead me to have a major binge!!

So we found a class that suits us both but we can't go until next Saturday (I'm working this Saturday morning) - we both want a morning class (well technically this is afternoon as it's 12.30 but it's still earlier in the day) I'm happy cos I want to get shiny awards lol!!

    Food today:

B: Grapefruit, porridge (made in almond milk) with blueberries
L: SW *fry* 2 x SW sausages, bacon medallions, 2 eggs and tomatoes...( I nearly licked the plate lol)
D: Veg curry and a little rice

(Made that curry last night and it's delish...

    1 onion chopped and frylighted
    1 cauli chopped up
    1 courgette chopped up
    pack of green beans
    pack of button mushrooms
    1 can tomatoes
    stock and curry powder

Bang it all in a pot and cook till everything is cooked and saucy

I made enough for 3 good meals and I'm pretty sure it's all free :)

I'm so sorry Shala, I completely missed that there was a new challenge :o:o:o

I think that given how ambitious my previous attempts were and what I actually did, or didn't lose, I think I'm only going to go for 7lbs this time round.

I'm wanting to get into the next stone bracket for a wedding I'm going to in America in May. As of last WI, I was 5.5 lbs away from that, but I've had a bad week so far this week and TOTM is due too so come Friday, im fully expecting a hefty gain :(
