Getting Slimmer in 16 with Slimming World

Hi all,
Seems like everyone's having a rough ride at the mo, is there a full moon or something? I got a flaming parking ticket today - the annoying thing is my sixth sense told me to park somewhere else but I ignored it as everyone always parks there and I wouldn't be long, and it was peeing rain... came back and BAM :mad::mad: It's one thing after another after another at the moment.
Today hasn't been great foodwise either. Disorganised and hardly any speed all day, plus I went to a school show tonight and they had homemade cookies in the interval and it was huge but lovely, and then I came home and ate a meringue as well
B - Mullerlight, 2x Alpen bar (B), half a banana (it was all bruised)
D - Pesto pasta left over from last night (2)
T - SW frozen chicken and med veg pasta
Other - Coffees (A,2), tea (A), cookie (10?), hot choc (2), meringue (2.5
TOTAL: 17.5 (still in credit from earlier in the week).
Question about Syns: I'm making the Hoisin Beef Stir Fry from the magazine tomorrow but Asda didn't have lean mince so I got the Butcher's Choice Stir Fry Beef - can't find it in my book but it's 180 cals per 100g ... any ideas? Thanks!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Just got back from class.
Slimmer of the week again (Getting a bit embarrasing, seems like the whole class either lost 1 to 1.5 off or maintained. I'm sure they would like to see someone else get SOW . Then of course I should mention I got the mugshot back again. Can't get rid of the dammed thing!)
Anyway loss of 4lbs
Total loss so far 1st.12lbs
I am pleased, and people are beginning to notice at work. another 2 lbs and I will have hit Club 10. and 2stone!
My size 22 tops are all swimming on me, but the 20s are still a bit snug around the boobs so not decent for work yet, but, I have a couple of Pepperberry size18 jersey tops (Super curvy, so boob room) which I am rotating through for work at the mo. Still look vaguely professional.:D
Those of you who are feeling a bit down, I hope things pick up for you. I bet the weather is playing a part. It's positively miserable at the moment. Has to be having an effect on people, theres just no let up....

june, I’m struggling for treats on dechox too! I’m not having puddings at all, although I do allow myself the occasional yogurt. I bought a big bag of Bombay Mix from Lidl and. working on the 1 syn/20 calories rule, I can have 20g for 5 syns. That’s quite enough! Commiserations re interview.
Happy birthday, debjay.
Sorry you and OH are having a difficult time, candyapple. I hope you can resolve things soon.
Well done on weight loss, candyapple and dini (two woo hoos again!)

That's amazing dini, enjoy it while it lasts:T.
Sorry to hear so many people feeling low for one reason or another. I know losing weight isn't the answer to everything but it helps. I know that I felt really miserable when I was fat and getting to target has made me feel much better about myself.:)0 -
Hi Sharla I've had to change my user name I was loopys as I couldn't login I lost 1.5lb last week.0

Good morning,
not the best of evenings with a poorly OH! but he is at work this morning then at home this afternoon where he can rest more as littlie is in nursery.
Today:
breakfast; banana, cup of tea (milk from hea) - I'm not very hungry to be honest
mid morning, going to have another cup of tea
lunch: I have brought a small potato to bake in the microwave, some cooked chicken and 2 hard boiled eggs plus a yogurt...not really feeling it right now. I may have some cous cous with the chicken instead and keep the potato and baked beans for tomorrow instead.
will go for a walk at lunch as well to clear my head and get myself some space. must call to the shop too so will do those two together (does involve a little drive but nothing too bad)
tea; not a clue as yet. I quite fancy fish and chips (done at home obviously) which is synly but I will ensure I am straight back on it...in fact I must just check the actual syns in the fish (as I will have a different carb option or salad with mine)************************************

My DH isn't well either lush. I think it's just a bad case of man flu but he's taken to his bed. Hopefully he'll get out on the right side.;)
I'm trying to work out when to go to WI around all the eating out and socialising going on. As we're off to Adele next Wednesday I think I'll look for a venue sometime on Tuesday. I'm sure I've gained as not really recovered properly from going away for a weekend for family wedding. Lounging around in leggings isn't helping either.:o
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO Austrian hash with extra vegchicken casserole (onions, leeks, mushrooms, carrots and celery) with broccoli and cauli, new potatoes, butter beans
Syns: tbsp (shared) of cornflour, chocolate (3?)0 -
:j -2LBS this week and I got SotW again today
I'm bogging with cold these last few days and really need it to do one...... I feel rank! duvet day I think with a[STRIKE]good film[/STRIKE] get real Master H is home so it'll be paw patrol:eek: or peppa pig:eek: and some knitting!
Dinner tonight is veggie tikka with bombay potatoes( lots of spinach) and rice, well it will be if Mr H gets up and washes up and clears the kitchen. I'm on strike until then.
I'm confused about this greatest loser 2016 thing. The lady who won ours has won it 3 years running..... surely it should be who lost the most weigh in the 12month period rather then who once lost alot of weight and has been at target 3 years :cool:grumble grumble. Did I tell you I feel rank and am bloody miserable?!

Well done on your loss Crabbapple. I have tried SP a couple of times but haven't got away with them. Might try again when the warmer comes. Hope you and OH manage to work things out.
Thanks greentiger and BEG I assume that was for meI'm sure we used to have a crabapple on this thread didn't we? Back when I started SW around a year ago (wow that's flown over) I remember people used to get our names and weights mixed up
I think we'll be ok OH and I, feeling much better after a big heart to heart.
Big hugs anyone needing them at the moment, I'm willing the warmer weather to hurry up, I always feels tons better with a bit of sunshine I don't know about anyone else
I'm doing another SP day today I think, I love having the 2nd HEB I feel it really helps curb my afternoon snack attacks. But as a SP virgin I wanted to know whether burgers & sausages are allowed on SP? I doubt they are counted as P unless you make them yourself with mince but I bought some Sainsburys BGTY burgers yesterday and wanted to give them a whirl. I'll maybe add bacon medallions or egg and that'll take care of the P factor
Off shopping now with some speedy snacks in my bag, hope you all have a good day

Afternoon
Happy Birthday Shala - hope you're in better spirits today, have a good day and remember nothing is synned on your birthday.:bdaycake:
Happy belated birthday deejay, hope you had a good day.
Went to the barbecue yesterday, had too much to drink and had some cheesecake but also ate quite healthily, I avoided burgers and sausages and opted for chicken and fish with salad. The weather let us down, the day started sunny but then the wind got up and it got cloudy and really cold. I started off intending to wear crop trousers, then decided on long trousers with a top and cardigan. I ended up with a fleece jacket and a throw round my legs - proper granny style, lol. A good time was had by all despite the chilly conditions. (For those who don't know, I'm in Spain, so we were hoping for better weather.)
Another meal out today - it's DH's birthday and we're going out for a meal to an Indian/English restaurant, and although I'd love a curry I'm going to make healthy choices and I'm driving so no wine syns until afterwards.
Well done dini. Hugs to everyone feeling poorly or out of sorts at the moment.
Have a good day everyone.
