Happy birthday Shala and Debjay, sorry it's late!

Thanks Tete, I thought I remembered you saying that at the time. I don't really need it I just need to commit myself somehow so I stop falling off the wagon. I could save the money and buy something nice as a reward - but I know I don't have the willpower :rotfl: I'll just have to knuckle down!

Tried quark and options (well Aldi version) for the first time last night, I was expecting it to be a bit gross but I really enjoyed it - I never finish the tub when I buy it so this solves that problem :p

I am 1lb on this week :( which is a combination of sheer glutton and TOTM so i will just have to try harder! I want half a stone off in the next two weeks if I'm going to achieve my target!

Morning all, thanks for the birthday wishes, i'm now the grand old age of 40

Had a really nice day, colleagues had had a collection so embarrassing presentation happened :o got home and OH had had a sneaky day off work and decorated the house and made me a b'day cake (never baked before) There were many syns consumed and everyone has bought me chocolate and sweets ( I have a piñata full!) so need a strategy for them for the coming days/weeks.

We're off to the Black Country museum later so no idea what we're eating today.. I think there's an old fashioned chip shop there

Happy belated birthday wishes to your OH Lois, I tried to get on here last night to wish him the best but I was so tired I barely made it up the stairs to bed:rotfl: hope you had a lovely meal x

I read the Michael Mosley book gingerfurball I found it all really fascinating.. glad your sister has had some success from it :T hope she can maintain it going forward with SW. I think the principles fit quite well with SP days..

No worries queenofcheap, i've added your target on.. good luck!

Big hugs for your work issues Treeny and Lush.. we spend so much time at work that it really can affect how you feel outside of it too..

Good luck with your new programme lantanna, I've took you off the challenge.. glad to hear about your dad x

Glad your op went ok Arkers, hope the pain has faded a little today xx
All the recipes and things are googleable anyway.:)

My new favourite word of the day :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: it's so nice to say out loud...

    TIE, massive hugs...

right must go get ready for our day trip.. I would love to stay in and have a duvet day but i'm trying to make myself go out a bit more other than to work! As the Black Country people say " ta-ra a bit"

Sometimes it seems like there is nothing but bad news but my Dad got his 5 year remission today for Bowel Cancer. So that's really pleasing.

Really pleased to hear that when there's so much bad news about. Cancer is the biggest fear for most people, but a lot more people survive it now, if it's caught in time.

Got myself some Mothers Day flowers last night for 10p in Asda. I'm not a Mother btw, just fancied them to cheer the place up and at 10p who could resist. Originally £10 and nothing wrong with them, probably just not going to last more than a few days. If I get to Monday out of them I'll be happy. Such a waste, totally shocking what was sitting there - some of the roses etc were past it, they should have reduced them earlier as they'll just end up in the bin now. What a waste.

I did that last year in my local Morrisons. They'd obviously bought far too many Mother's Day flowers and plants and they were all drastically reduced the following day so still in perfect condition. I bought a bouquet for myself, one for the shop and 2 white hydrangeas that were in baskets but are now in pots outside the shop. :)

Good luck with your new plan, sometimes doing something different is what's needed to shake things up a bit.

    Hi Everyone,

Feeling a lot better today, pain now subsided a bit and under control. Shala, the big 40, sounds like your DH pushed the boat out and made your day really special:A.

I've been really impressed with my DH he weighed and made my 35g of porridge, has lined up a ham salad for lunch and has chicken breast and SW chips and salad lined up for tea. I have been particularly crabby and demanding and had him running around at my beck and call for the last couple of days.:T
He is Welsh and I'm English so the rugby this weekend is always interesting I almost feel that it would be good if his team won...almost!:D. Whatever the result I hope it is an exciting game.

Tweets, sshhh, but Tug is having extra duvet time with me at the moment. He's not normally allowed on the bed, but I need my pal with me at the mo:rotfl:.

Well done on the new challenge everyone. Hope to be back in the fold for the next one.
    Arkers x

Ah Candyapple, hope you and OH can sort it out. Relationships suck at times they really do!

Got the gym tonight after work and then home for SW Burger, with Turkey Bacon, cheese, mushrooms, onion and salad. Cannot wait!! :D
Half tempted to have a Thursday night gin as well. Its really lovely here today, spring is definitely on the way! Can't believe the snow that you had Tweets ! Though Poppy looked as though she was enjoying herself.

    Great news about your Dad.

I always think its sad that so many flowers get wasted and much prefer to be given a plant instead of a expensive bunch of flowers.
21 years ago I asked my DD for some daffoldil bulbs for mothers day and bless her she bought me a sack of 300, I planted them all and had a glorious show every year, when I moved 15 years ago I dug and lot up and planted them here, still have a few coming up every year.

Thinking about it almost everything in the garden has been a Mothers day present, this year I got a beautiful pink Rose

  • Morning all - WI and it's + 2 for me - I'm really rocking this challenge! NOT!!

Ah well - goes to show you have to stick to the plan 7 days a week....my 4 day weekend of eating out and drinking bit me in the *substantial* bum!

We have 2 birthday dinners this week and a wedding fair!! But that's me for the foreseeable future...and I'm joining SW class next Saturday which will bring out the competitive side in me lol!!
