  • Afternoon all...stepped on the *sad step* this morning for a sneaky peek...(WI is tomorrow) and it shows a big gain....ugh!! Drinking lots of water today to flush me out...it really makes me fed up...but I kinda feel that my weight loss doesn't really count until I start class (this is definitely not true lol)

Happy birthday Shala. Have a good day.

Didn't weigh again today and won't be next week either as we're away most of next week. Will weigh at the end of the month which will be 4 weeks since last WI. Will need to be extra good that week, LOL!

Tasters this morning were better than some have been in the past. Most things were syn free for a change. My pakoras went down well - only bought home a couple plus some bits which me and DH ate with a cuppa when I got home from shopping.

    Another EE day today:

    B - taster at group - 0.5 syns
L - cooked chicken with salad
D - shepherds pie, brussels, peas

    HEA - milk
HEB - undecided - will decide later

Syns - 0.5 so far; not sure what else yet but may save some for our 5 days away for the wine!

Having a terrible day food wise. I didn't realise how stressed I was getting at work until a tiny thing yesterday pushed me over the edge, ended up with 3 rum and cokes in the pub last night, then a me-size (treble?!) when I got home. Barely slept last night (thinking about it, I've not really been sleeping all week) and didn't make oats last night, so I've been vacuuming bad carbs today(crunchy nut cornflakes AND a croissant for breakfast).

Trying to get my mind and body out of attack mode and calm down a little bit, because there's really no need to be stressed, everything is going to be ok, but I'm not going to stop myself from having a bit of comfort food, so going to count today as a write off and start again tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is feeling a little brighter - it's nearly the weekend!

Mrs H - I think there is a criteria that they have to have still lost at least half a stone in the past year. So someone sitting at the same target for three years shouldn't qualify but if they reset their target slightly lower each year, they can continue to win it until someone loses more. But it's like SOTW/SOTM awards, it's just a name that comes out of the system based on their loss history so it should theoretically be correct.

Red day today, fancied a banana...
Breakfast - Usual Weetabix with banana and berries, latte (A1,B1)
    Lunch - Turkey and salad
    Dinner - Salmon and veggies
    Pudding - Ice cream (6) and hifi/alpen lights (B2)

Probably won't use A2 unless I have another coffee. Which I might as not into water at all today so any fluid (I drink decaf in the afternoons anyway) is better than none!

    Happy Birthday Shala
Hope you have a lovely day!

Sorry I've not been around, just going to go back and get a quick catch up now. Work has just been so crazy and I've been getting my head around my new plan. I'm not going to bore you with it but it is very similar to Slimming World just combines it with my training so I can maximise what I am getting out of the gym. Giving it a proper go for three months to see.

I've been advised not to weigh (though its so flipping hard) not too until the end of the first month, so Shala if you could remove me from the chart and I will update you on my weight at the end of the month. I do love going to the gym so I am hoping this will give a more scheduled exercise regime and teach me when to eat different things as for a long time my energy levels where too low to exercise effectively.

Worth a shot anyway and I'll let you know how I get on.

Off now to catch up, sorry again I've done a bit of a disappearing act. Just need some pounds to do one as well lol:rotfl:

Dini - lol at the Boomerang Mugshot!!!
Hope you enjoyed Adele Maman, she opened in Belfast and reports were really really good.
Ah Candyapple, hope you and OH can sort it out. Relationships suck at times they really do!
Sometimes it seems like there is nothing but bad news but my Dad got his 5 year remission today for Bowel Cancer. So that's really pleasing.
Got myself some Mothers Day flowers last night for 10p in Asda. I'm not a Mother btw, just fancied them to cheer the place up and at 10p who could resist. Originally £10 and nothing wrong with them, probably just not going to last more than a few days. If I get to Monday out of them I'll be happy. Such a waste, totally shocking what was sitting there - some of the roses etc were past it, they should have reduced them earlier as they'll just end up in the bin now. What a waste.
Got the gym tonight after work and then home for SW Burger, with Turkey Bacon, cheese, mushrooms, onion and salad. Cannot wait!! :D
Half tempted to have a Thursday night gin as well. Its really lovely here today, spring is definitely on the way! Can't believe the snow that you had Tweets ! Though Poppy looked as though she was enjoying herself.

Great to see you meg. Thanks for dropping by.:A

You too lantanna, sounds like a good plan especially if it motivates you to go to the gym. That can have great feel good results on top of the fitness/toning. When you've time do tell us how it works.:)

Have a very happy birthday shala. Hope you're enjoying every minute.:)

Sorry to hear the weather was disappointing lois as I think some of Southern Spain and Portugal have been excellent. Glad you enjoyed yourself all the same.

I'm sure you're correct candy that burgers and sausages aren't really SP but it won't make a massive difference if that's what you have in. I think it's losing the carbs and upping the Speed that's the most important. The burgers are great BTW, really meaty.

Lantanna - I got reduced flowers after Mother's Day last year and they lasted a good week! I didn't think to check this week, but after Valentine's Day the special flower section in my local was still completely full and then just gone so they would have chucked the whole lot. ETA: Now that I'm thinking about it, I was in there on Monday and that section was already filled with Easter Eggs. So not even any clearance opportunity, got rid of them at full price. Such waste. :(

Happy birthday Shala, missed that before!

    Hello Everyone,

Shala, belated happy returns, bless you for remembering about my op. I had it yesterday and had a small bit of toast and tea after, and that was it, and today I've been in bits so have had to get some stronger meds to cope with the pain, so I have not eaten anything yet. Not sure what I was expecting, but not this! I always thought my pain threshold was quite high (judging by childbirth standards), but the codeine based drugs don't seem to have much of an impact on me. The good thing in the short term at least is that I haven't felt like eating the contents of the cupboards!

Internet has also been playing up, so I have not read/posted until today. As one who can empathise I am so sorry for those who are walking with that pesky black dog, grrrr. I hope those of you are a bit down manage to see the light soon.

Feeling a bit sick so signing off for now x
