Sorry to hear that your OH is being difficult treeny. It's surprising how many posts I've read on these boards about men being fussy eaters. I'm fortunate that my DH will eat almost anything I put in front of him, except ironically vegetable curry.;)
Thanks for the recipe gingerfurball. It's similar to the one I use for patatas bravas and that freezes really well as it's too much for just DH and I in one go.
Finished off the last of the HM fishcakes today. I've really enjoyed them with beetroot or some other pickles as a light lunch. I'll definitely make them again but spice them up a bit and use tuna or something less bland than salmon.Matron_Midge wrote: »Need to go shopping, it's like mother hubbards here.
Same here, midge. I've decided as I've got this far I won't bother until Friday. All I've needed was milk especially as we were eating out last night and probably tomorrow. I did have steak and salad last night but they messed up my order and brought chips and onion rings too! It would have been rude not to eat them.:o
Back on plan today. EE menu:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: 2 HM fishcakes with pickles, lentil and veg soupSpaghetti Bolognese
Syns: squirt of HP sauce and maybe Parmesan and chocolate0 -
Hi everyone
WI for me today and it's 0.5lb gain which really upset me when I jumped on the scales this morning. Stupid really as it's just a number after all. My pyjamas felt a lot looser though so I soon cheered upIt's evil hormone week so I'm attributing some of the loss to that, I wouldn't have eaten nearly as much rubbish had it been a different point in the month. So had an off-plan day to hopefully get it all out of my system. Had the cake & latte that I'd been fancying earlier in the week while out shopping today and it was definitely worth it. Back on it tomorrow.
I feel your pain treeny my OH will generally hoover up anything I cook but there'll be the odd time he'll ask what I'm planning for tea and then say oh let's get a chinese instead .. I'm so bloomin weak willed (and also a bit lazy so will do anything to get out of cooking) that I can't say no!
I think I'll attempt SP at some point this week, I've never managed it before, usually ruin it by eating a banana or a yoghurt but I really really need a loss next week and will try anything to give me a fighting chance. It'll be tough for me as I'm such a carb junkie but even if I manage 1 day I reckon that'll be a bonus. I know there's a few of you do SP so any tips, chuck them my way0 -
Hi
Does anyone know how many syns are in a packet of Aldi Teddy Faces?Cat :wave:0 -

Candyapple - I hear you on the takeaways!
Greentiger really sorry to hear about your cat
I'd like to add my thanks to whoever posted the info about the app (and sorry I can't remember who! Meant to post it yesterday but didn't get chance). I've had a little play and it looks fab, wonder if SW might put a stop to it somehow though as aren't they quite tight with unofficial info/support online...?
Ive been very up and down this week and the scales are showing a gain still... It's star week too so will persevere and hopefully it will even itself out next week. I'm going to try a couple of SP days as they work really well for me, then hopefully a full week of it next week (Mon-Fri).Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -

Tete, we would love to know where she was. We took her to the vet, who confirmed she was in fine fettle – no fleas or worms and well fed. She was a friendly beast and easily approachable. If she was wandering around, how did she keep so well? If someone had her, why leave her collar on and why not contact us? Answer – she was definitely abducted by aliens!
Yes, treeny, Bracken had bags of character! She used to get me up in the morning by prising my eyelids open with her claws  – very gently, I may add.
Well done, Midge.
Thanks, june, I’ve not heard of Velvet Crunch. I’ll look out for them. I have bought a big bag of Bombay Mix, which, I think, works out at 5syns for 20g. No idea what 20g looks like, but it’ll be a change.
maman, I have tried many things but I draw the line at parmesan and chocolate, lol. :rotfl::rotfl:
Here is today’s (in the end, abysmal) effort.
Pre-breakfast: banana
Breakfast: hexb muesli, an aplle and a pear
Lunch: omelette with ham, red pepper, red onion and mushrooms, Activia 0% fat raspberry yogurt with raspberries and blueberries
Snack: wee bag of mini cheddars (6 ½ )
Dinner: I left my handbag at DS’s so I couldn’t get into my house, had to drive back there to get it, then drive to another town to pick up DGS from school and wait at his house until DD got home from work at back of 4. Upshot was I didn’t have time to prep and cook the pork casserole I had planned and we ended up sharing a takeaway curry
Snack will be hexa cheese and grapes
At least I didn’t bust my Dechox! :A
But….. I went to prep the stew and I’m not sure that the pork has survived being left out so long (it had been defrosting), so I it’ll be getting dumped. A double whammy!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Can't quite believe it after 3lbs off last week but -2lbs this week :j Although going to need that for what I've planned over next 10 days.
Haven't had chance to catch up on thread yet but well done to the losers :T0 -
Morning all - WI this morning (a day early as we have an early flight tomorrow) and it's 1 lb off
so - I'm a wee bit disappointed in that BUT - it's really only been 3 days as I started Monday...so I'll keep my chin up and realise I'm ahead of the posse cos my next WI is not till next Friday...however (lol) we do have 3 meals out this weekend for work commitments - I'll try and do my best with mostly SP food for my other meals.
Yesterday was:
B: porridge made with almond milk and blueberries
L: chicken salad (going to start making changes for lunch)supposed to be steak, salad and sweet potato *fries* but DH was out till near 9.00 (he has a saxaphone lesson once a week) and by the time he came home I couldn't face a big steak so just had salad
Snacks were 0% fat greek yogurt and a couple of mandarins, couple of slices of cooked ham.
(I know there are no syns involved but I'm saving them for wine syns for the weekend...now that I'm not drinking through the week at all I am reconsidering my wine syns for the weekend...seriously considering being *designated driver* tonight for our first meal out  )0 -
Well done debjay and ginger! :j
Menu today:
B - 2 x hifi (heb), clementine, banana, activia
L - chicken bacon pasta salad (0.5)
D - sechzuan prawns (0.5), veg, rice, ff greek yoghurt, cherries, meringues (3)
S - Chocolate (7), cheese curls (3)0
