    Well done Hurdygurdy on SOTW.

Well done to all the losers and hugs for those who have STS or gained.

This week is not going well SW wise for me. Eaten out twice and today had lunch as DD1s and ended up having a Danish pastry:eek: at least a day's syns for just one thing!

    Today's EE plan:

    B - bacon, egg, mushrooms & beans
    L - ham & tomato WM roll (HEB + 2); Danish pastry 15?
D - Barsley lamb chop, mash, braised red cabbage; green beans.

HEA will be milk as usual.

So much for keeping syns low this week!

afternoon all, been rather busy and still not 100% but still trucking!

    Today:
breakfast: overnight oats (heb oats plus a muller light) 2 syns for some seeds on top (literally a pinch but keen to track it all!)
lunch: chicken, sweetcorn and noodle soup (homemade; free!)
mid afternoon: hot choc (2 syns) mini raisin brioche from aldi...using 1syn:20kcal = 6 syn, 2 satsumas
tea: chicken tonight mushroom sauce (I believe 5 syns per 1/4 jar) will add some veg to mine. Bit light on free/superfree but I am feeling so off I couldn't contemplate making any salads or anything last night/this morning.

Going to nip to the shop on the way home for frozen berries (for overnight oats) some free yogurt (same) eggs bananas, apples, maybe a melon :)

Can anyone help with the syns in IKEA meatballs? and cream sauce?

    Happy Belated Birthday Tweets!

I am at home today as eldest DD has this stomach bug that I had.

Have my packed lunch that I would've taken to work, so will try & stick to plan as much as possible, as being home is the worst, when I have the temptation to pick......

Hope you all have a good day! x

    Thank you :)

I know I said that this would be an off plan weekend but it just shows how quick the weight goes back on when you take your eye off the ball for a minute!

I'm glad I haven't weighed after my off plan weekend. The skirt I put on last night was a bit 'snug' so I know I've gained but all I can do is get back on with it ASAP.
Can you lovely people look at this menu and tell me the best thing to eat off it...we're heading to England for work and the lovely people who host us always wine and dine us...we'll be eating here:

    http://verona-restaurant.co.uk/menu.html

I try not to be cheeky and go for the steak options as they are so much more expensive...but I'm open for suggestions.

    :)

I can see what you mean about the differences in price! If having a starter I'd go for the parma ham with melon and then something tomato based for a main like arrabiata or even meatballs. It won't be all free but it'll be better than the creamy/cheesy things.

7.5 syns for 100g of Ikea meatballs lush but no idea bout the sauce. Sorry to hear you're still not feeling well.:)

Hope you enjoyed the Danish denise. I wouldn't want to think how many syns might have been involved.

I seem to have missed your birthday tweets. I do hope you had a really lovely time and were thoroughly spoiled.

I still haven't done a food shop this week. I seem to be chasing my tail catching up with things I'd have done over the weekend if I wasn't away. Off to the pub to watch football tonight and hoping we'll need to celebrate. We'll eat there and I'll do my best to have a SW friendly option to go with wine syns.;)

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: tomato and mushroom omelette, pickled onions, beetroot
    D: steak and salad?
Syns: squirt of syrup, wine, chips????

    Definitely back on plan tomorrow.:)

    Ninth Anniversary
    Hi everyone

Having a bit of a struggly week as Mother Nature is visiting  and I just want to eat the contents of my kitchen (and everyone else's)

    Food today:

    B - porridge with apple & cinnamon
L - mattesons roast chicken slices (3 syns) with half a packet of golden veg savoury rice (1 syn), tomato, cucumber and carrot sticks
T - chicken stir fry with fresh egg noodles (1 syn)

I failed to turn down half a flapjack (god knows how many syns) and a packet of pom bears (3.5 syns) but I'm still off the chocolate :T Best of luck june and greentiger on the dechox and anyone else who is attempting it. Star week minus chocolate hurts but the rest of it hasn't been bad at all. I'm halfway there I think, breaking my chocolate fast on Easter Sunday :D

Sorry to hear about your kitty greentiger it sounds like she had a fabulous long life with you to reach 18 years.

Expecting a big ole gain tomorrow but will check in with WI and see if a miracle has occurred!

I don't understand slimming world (or any other weight loss/healthy eating plan) at times.

I do get on the scales every morning, although I only take note of the weight I am on weigh in days. I find it fascinating how my weight fluctuates throughout the week.

However, yesterday I weighed 14st 7lbs (there, I've said it), and today I got on (weigh in day) and overnight I have shot up to 14st 13lbs.

How the heck did that happen? How COULD that happen?? I know it's all about workmen blaming tools, yada yada yada, but I really do wonder if there is something broken about my scales?

I won't register my weight today for the first week of the challenge, but I will see how if the scales have stopped sulking by tomorrow morning.

So today, I have had two Weetabix, with coconut almond milk (3 syns) and raspberries for breakfast.

Wafer thin ham salad (no dressing - forgot to take it AGAIN today, sigh), followed by fresh pineapple, mango, melon and blueberries

Tonight it is diet cola chicken, with rice, and veg for dinner.

Syns wise, I think it'll be a packet of mini jammy dodgers for 4.5 syns and a caramel Freddo, also for 4.5 syns.

    Total of 12 syns today.

    HEA is milk in tea.

Weight really can fluctuate a lot day to day. Did you weigh at the same time both days as your weight can fluctuate a lot even over the course of a day. And what time of day were you weighing? If in evening, the food you've eaten during the day can make a big (albeit short term) difference to your weight.

I fell off the wagon massively last week and managed to gain 4lbs my first week back on plan :o Started again yesterday and going good but I'm finding it a lot harder to get my head round the plan this time for some reason.

I'd like to join the challenge please Shala. Going for 10lbs off please. Want to be a bit conservative as I have a wedding which is a whole weekend affair including afternoon tea, and a hotel break away with my mum that my sister got us for Christmas. Both of them are coming up in March, and with Easter as well it's going to be a tricky month!
