    Morning all :)

Thanks for the chart Shala, well done Hurdygurdy for SOTW :T and congratulations to all of us for losing a whole overweight person! :rotfl:

I went to the loo for a wee so many times yesterday, no idea why as I wasn't drinking any more than normal, so I decided to have a sneaky peak this morning and I'm 2 lbs lighter than I was yesterday! I was feeling a bit bloated the day before so I must have been retaining fluids. It shows how much fluctuation you can have from one day to the next, specially as I'm not in the habit of losing large amounts like some of you!

Sorry about your cat Greentiger, they become part of the family so it's sad to see them go even though she did reach a good age.

Well done to all the losers and commiserations orlao for your gain - at least you were expecting it. It will come off in no time once you get back on plan. I gained half a stone by having a weekend away but I'd lost it by the following weekend just be sticking strictly to plan.

Good luck to everyone for the new challenge.

    LL :)

    Hello, Rubyslippers and Loopys.

Morello, all I can say is WOW! Well done, BelsyBoop, b_e_g and Tulip.

    Congratulations on being SOTW, HurdyGurdy.

Good to see you back after the wedding trip, maman.

Don’t know how it happened, but I managed to lose a whopping 0.4 lbs. It may be a drop in the ocean, but I was expecting a gain, so I am happy about it. I actually have recorded a (meagre) net loss this time, and that takes account of the new scales! I am thrilled! Thanks for being keeper of the records, shala.

As for today, it was ok. Unfortunately, my little furry friend of 18 years (she of my avatar) passed away this evening. :( We were lucky to have her for so long as she had a heart murmur from birth and developed thyroid issues , which affected her kidneys, a few years ago.

Starting Dechox tomorrow :eek:– any ideas for savoury treats will be most welcome (especially if they require no effort/much forethought!

    Night all.

Sorry about the loss of your friend:A RIP PU SSY CAT:A

Sorry about your furry friend greentiger

Well done Morello - I know what you mean about being bewildered that you can eat so much and still lose so much weight :)

Congrats to Hurdy Gurdy on SOTW.

Thanks Shala for the record keeping and can you put me down for 14lbs for the new challenge please.

Right, a massive +4lbs for week 1. I know I said that this would be an off plan weekend but it just shows how quick the weight goes back on when you take your eye off the ball for a minute!

    Thank you :)

    Good morning fellow SWers!,

Congrats Hurdy for SOTW, well done to all of those who reached their target including me! :D. Due to OP next week didn't think there was much point in joining the Easter challenge, but I'm happy to report a 2 1/4 lbs gone from me this week.

I know I'm going to find it tricky not to weigh in for a few weeks, but I'm determined not to undo all the hard work. Just hope boredom does not rear its ugly head to sabotage.

Keep the faith, and I love all the recipe feedback.:T

    Happy Belated Birthday Tweets!

I am at home today as eldest DD has this stomach bug that I had.

Have my packed lunch that I would've taken to work, so will try & stick to plan as much as possible, as being home is the worst, when I have the temptation to pick......

Hope you all have a good day! x

Hugs GT, losing a pet is so hard. :(

Tete, SW doesn't do the goals thing as part of group. It seems to have started on Instagram with photo challenges. But no harm in setting them! :D

First day of Dechox for me too. I'm only limiting chocolate rather than all sweet stuff, as I don't tend to have that much other sweet. Having said that, I did just myself the sweetest breakfast I know of this morning. :rotfl:

I think I'm going to try a red day today...

Breakfast - French toast with berries and coffee (A1, B1)
Lunch - Leftover goulash (it's from the red days cookbook)
Dinner - Gammon, veggies and 227g skin on chips (B2)
Syns - Hifi light (3) and rest TBC

I think that's right for dinner? I read a few old threads on minimins about chips for HEB and the consensus seemed to be as long as they were made from a whole potato and the skin was left on (which I always do anyway) it was fine.

Need to find something for A2. I really struggle now that I'm trying to avoid dairy, since none of the vegan cheeses count as an A. I may try Lactofree cheese again, can't remember why I stopped using it - think it was just to be extra strict. Not that I was even doing that, having milk chocolate every day. :o
  • Morning all June89 - my hubby was vegan for a while and I have to say vegan cheese is rotten bluech!! One of the many reasons he went back on dairy again.

Can you lovely people look at this menu and tell me the best thing to eat off it...we're heading to England for work and the lovely people who host us always wine and dine us...we'll be eating here:

    http://verona-restaurant.co.uk/menu.html

I try not to be cheeky and go for the steak options as they are so much more expensive...but I'm open for suggestions.

We'll be staying in the Prem Inn so it's easy enough to eat off their menu....hopefully not take too many steps back as it will be only our first week on the challenge!!

    Food today:

B: porridge made with almond milk with blueberries
L: more than likely a chicken salad...may get subway salad..not sure
D: I have some lamb in the fridge...might make an Irish Stew to celebrate St Davids day lol

    :)

Sorry to hear about your cat greentiger. Pets can form such a large part of our lives. I lost my elderly dog 5 years ago and I still well up when I think about him.

Thanks for the chart Shala and all the work you put in collecting our results every week.

Well done to Hurdygurdy on SOTW and well done to all the losers over the course of the challenge.

I'm looking forward to the next challenge. I have a number of mini target events coming up over the year. The first is that we are going to Legoland for my daughters early birthday present at the end of the month. I would like to be into my next stone bracket by then which would mean losing 9.5lbs in the next 4 weeks.

We are then going on holiday at the beginning of August. I would like to be comfortably and reliably wearing size 14's by then to make shopping easier. I anticipate that I will need to be about 2 stone down from my current weight to do that. It will be really nice to fit comfortably into airplane seats for the first time ever! I've never needed the seatbelt extension before but have come close! Our last holiday I was a size 20 so should be a big difference if I can manage it!

Had a NSV yesterday. Was looking through the sale racks in Dorothy Perkins yesterday and saw my preferred style of jeans reduced to £7. They didn't have an 18, which is what I'm wearing at the mo but they did have a 16. So I thought considering the low price and that this style doesn't come up often I would buy them and put them away for a month or two until I can fit in them. Tried them on at home and I can do them up!!! Wouldn't be comfortable to wear yet but I can technically fit in size 16 jeans. I haven't been able to fit in a 16 since I met my husband 10 years ago!

Battling a cold and a difficult baby today. Resisting the urge to get drive thru KFC! Menu today:

    B - 2 x hifi (heb), activia, banana, clementine
    L - veg soup
D - chicken enchilada pasta bake (hea), ff greek yoghurt, berries, meringues (3)
    S - chocolate (7), popcorn (5), more fruit

Target 9lb for the new challenge, starting with no loss this week - thanks Shala

I was away for the weekend so I'm quite happy with STS this week. I had lost 4lb pounds before going, just shows what is possible when I try!

    :)

The tuna, scampi and prawn options look reasonable if you're into fish?

The tomato based pasta gnocchi dishes?

Menu looks lovely. I would go for something covered in cream and cheese if it were me......

One of the tomato pastas (arrabiatta, siciliana, puttanesca) are probably the most on plan items but the menu doesn't look great. SW wise that is, otherwise it looks delicious. :rotfl: If it were me, I'd just flexisyn that meal and not worry about being perfectly on plan. One meal isn't going to make that much difference, particularly in the long run.

And I know vegan cheese is vile. But even small amounts of regular cheese doesn't agree with me at all. I do have some Lactofree in the fridge for DH so will give that a go tonight. Cheesy chips I'm thinking. :D
