  • Welcome rubyslippers and well done on that amazing loss morello!

Reporting a maintain for last week please shala.

I'm really disappointed with that and although I went I couple of syns over on one day I have doing lots of exercise and would have hoped to lose something. Means I missed out on achieving my challenge target by half a pound

Got a stinking cold but managing to stay on plan. Bought some Green and Blacks salted caramel chocolate for my syns today. Trying to hold off until this afternoon before I eat it!

    Menu today:

    B - 1 x hifi, clementine, banana, activia
L - veg soup of some sort (need to clean out fridge!), 2 x ryvita (heb), laughing cow cheese (hea)
D - Chicken, egg and veg fried rice, meringues (2), ff greek yoghurt, berries
    S - Chocolate (7), popcorn (5)

So I think I mentioned the other day that I was considering red days. Have been reading up about it because I've completely forgotten how it works and pretty sure I'm going to switch from SP. From what I can see, the main difference is I can't have beans/pulses on red but I can have free fruits and yoghurts. I rarely eat beans anyway, but I've been adding a banana to my breakfast quite a lot recently (don't worry maman, have been cutting out my 2nd B ;)) and enjoying it. I rarely eat yoghurt (lactose intolerant) so that's not really a factor for me.

Ironically I am having beans for lunch, so not today. But think I'll give it a go for a few days this week.

Breakfast - Usual Weetabix with fruit and coffee (A/B)
Lunch - Speed soup (fancied trying it as bored of salad, girls in my group rave about it)
    Dinner - Curry with spinach

    Syns to be decided!
  • Welcome rubyslippers :hello:. Well done on cracking loss morello :T and to all other losers :T.

Just a quick post as I'm on my break.. happy belated birthday wishes Tweets..

Brilliant loses and targets coming in :D

    Welcome onboard rubyslippers...

Just wanted to let you know a lady kindly shared an app on faceb00k (on the 2 Chubby cubs page) called Slimming Tracker and it can be used as a SW tracker.. I've found it quite helpful, it's free too!

Might help some of you who prefer to use phones/tablets to track food instead of pen and paper... you do have to manually enter syns but if you know then already then it's no bother really.

    :D right back to work!!

    Thank you :)
Morning all - I don't get on the computer over the weekend so I'm just catching up now...happy belated birthday tweets :)

Weekend was good enough food wise...I did have wine Friday, Saturday and Sunday but not as much as I normally would and hubby and I didn't have the massive take away we normally have on Sunday night (had cheese on toast instead which we really enjoyed)

This week I'm challenging my self to drink a whole lot more water...I normally just sip on tea all day long but I'm hoping to get at least two litres of water a day in me.

Also I normally make quite complicated meals at night but this week I'm going to simplify and just have a protein with salad and some sweet potato *fries*...I know SW recommend variety in your diet but I think this will keep me on the straight and narrow and get me kicked off in the challenge. Also eating fruit which I normally avoid...mostly berries and mandarin oranges....so today:

B: Porridge made with almond milk, strawberries, blueberries and a plain yogurt.
    L: Chicken salad
D: Thinking salmon with salad and sweet potatoes...

Saving Syns for the weekend wine :)

    Thank you :)

Hello all, I haven't time to read back since Thursday so just decided to dive in. Hope all is well.:)

The wedding went well, weather was glorious for the lovely seaside setting. I did have some SW friendly food but also lots that wasn't. But line is drawn and I'm back on it for today at least. I haven't done any shopping so just managing with what's available.

    EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: HM fishcakes, beetroot and a bowl of veg & lentil soup
    D: gammon, mash, carrots, cabbage
    Syns: maybe some chocolate

Has anyone picked up the free Asda magazine - Easter issue?

There is a recipe in there which, with a bit of SW adjustment can be free. Its the roast cauliflower and kale soup. Just need to swap oil for frylight and creme fraiche for the 4Fs (fat free fromage frais) or quark. You serve about 25g of roasted chickpeas on top. I know you are supposed to syn a tweak, but is 25g too small to syn a tweak? Or just add them towards end and heat them through.

I will omit the fennel as its one of the veg I hate - I can count the veg I hate on one hand! Spring greens, fennel, celeriac, okra and swede (unless its mixed with carrot). Add a handful of spinach instead.

I will add the recipe later for those that are interested or don't have Asda near to them.

Ps techy question - using an iPad, can someone tell me how to return to the first unread post? My bookmark only brings me to the page I was last on - thanks!

Hi, at the bottom ( and top) of the page where it says 'post' on opposite side is the page numbers. It says 'first' so click that, then when you've read etc click 'last' and it takes you back to most recent page. Hope that helps :D
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
