Morning all. Well despite worrying about portion sizes and too many carbs, my first week has apparently resulted in a 9lb loss, which I can hardly believe to be honest. I suspect a very large part of that is an initial adjustment to cutting out the bottle of wine I was drinking per day. I wondered if my scales might be faulty but they are digital, so guessing quite accurate? Anyway, it's a great springboard to what I hope will be continuing success, albeit much slower! Off to enter my new weight on the SW website xx Well done to everyone else who's lost this week xx
WOW! That's amazing, well done. :TPs techy question - using an iPad, can someone tell me how to return to the first unread post? My bookmark only brings me to the page I was last on - thanks!
I'd like to know the answer to this one as well.Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -
Congrats to Hurdygurdy and to everyone else who achieved or beat their target. Equally well done to those who didn't quite make it but didn't give up :T0

The part in bold is the important bit and it's the end number that will change for the next one.0 -
Hi everyone
Thanks Shala for the chart and congrats hurdygurdy for SOTW!! Well done to all other losers as well
Lost track of who said they were trying to up their water intake this week but I'm doing the sameHoping it may help boost weight loss à bit. Had about 2.5l so far today so day 1 going well! Can anyone recommend any good water bottles? I think it may help if I had a nice bottle to take to work with me!
EESP day for me today:
Breakfast: blueberry wheats (heB1), pear, Clementine
Morning snacks: speed fruit
Lunch: tuna&egg salad (1 syn)
Afternoon snacks: soreen lunch loaf (5 syns), speed fruit
Dinner: lamb and apricot stew (dried apricots as heB2)
Evening snacks not yet decided - may include chocolate
Drinks: water, NAS squash, tea/coffee with heA
Lamb and apricot stew worked well in the slow cooker, thanks to those who helped. I upped the dried apricots to make a HeB portion and as a result tonight's portion seemed to have a lot of apricots in it!!! Not sure if I just happened to serve up all the apricots by chance, will see how tomorrow's portion is.0 -

Oh my days, that is amazing! Bet that's given you a huge boost0 -
SOTW* is.... :T:j:THURDYGURDY:T:j:T with a loss of 4.0lbs!!
:iloveyou::iloveyou::iloveyou::iloveyou::iloveyou:
Thank you.
I don't think I will be wearing SOTW hat next week, given the KFC I scoffed the other night:o
But thank you again. And thank you all for all the support. I have found it quite testing to do this without going to groups (I couldn't stand all this :T:T:T:T:T at groups, so had to stop going). This thread has been a real help to me0 -
One thing I'm hoping to make is this lamb and apricot casserole: http://online.slimmingworld.co.uk/recipes/lamb-and-apricot-casserole.aspx - does anyone know if I'm OK to count the dried apricots as a heB? Also, I'd like to make this in the slow cooker but I'm never quite sure how to adapt recipes, does anyone have any advice? I'm guessing I should reduce the amount of liquid but I don't know by how much...
Have you made it yet, Rebster, or is it a future plan. This is one of our family favourites. I've not made it in the slow cooker, but I will do in future. I'd probably reduce the liquid by about a third.
I look forward to hearing what you thought of it0
