Thanks for all the kind thoughts about my furry friend. We have so many great memories, including the time she left the house one Wednesday in May and came home on the Thursday – in November - as if it was quite normal! She was fit and healthy, and was still wearing her collar with her name and contact info. We think she was abducted by aliens, lol.

I’m so happy, june, to see someone else on Dechox. I’ll be keeping an eye on your treats to see what I can pinch!

    Anyway, here’s today’s menu.

    Pre-breakfast: banana
Breakfast: hexb toast with 25g Philly light (2)
Lunch: baked potato, prawns, light mayo (1), beetroot, Activia 0% fat raspberry yogurt, 2 plums
Dinner: LMcC roro sausages, mashed potato, turnip, beans
Snacks: none so far! Later I’ll have 2 cream crackers (4), with hexa cheese and cherry tomatoes

    Good luck, everyone.

Tete, SW doesn't do the goals thing as part of group. It seems to have started on Instagram with photo challenges. But no harm in setting them! :D

Yes that's where I saw it. I'm going it alone, with a little help from my social media friends!

Wow greentiger - I wonder where she was all that time?!

    Today:
    B - Porridge (A,B), sweetener, banana
    D - Veg soup, apple
T - Cottage pie (half mince, half Quorn), inc leeks, onion, carrot, mushrooms. Aunt Bessie's carrot and swede mash on top (0.5), served with tenderstem broccoli and fine beans.
Drinks and snacks: Coffee x2 (A, 2), fruit teas, chocolate cake (7), hot choc (2)
    TOTAL: 11.5
    Weightloss: 14.5/65lb

GT - I'll try to post my treats, I don't often plan them but will recap if anything is particularly good. Right now I'm loving Velvet Crunch. I'm not even a crisp person but kept seeing them on Instagram. They're really good and only 4.5 syns a bag.

Tete - I still go to group to catch up with my friends there. Not working at the moment means it's one of my main social times. But inspiration/support mostly comes from social media for sure!

Today is back to SP as I have beany leftovers to use again...
Breakfast - Weetabix, berries and coffee (A+B1)
Lunch - Need to raid the fridge, think it'll be ham salad
Dinner - Mixed bean chilli with broccoli (DH hated this, so had to wait for a night he was staying late at work)

I'm also going to try making oaty cookies tonight. I saw them on Instagram (again) where someone had added one of those Whitworths Shots packets to the mix and they looked amazing. And I happen to have one of those lurking in the cupboard from when they were on a good offer. Will see how they go. Think they will work out around 2 syns each, or HEB+4 for the lot but I can't remember the calories of the shot off the top of my head. They're mostly around the 4-5 syn mark though.

The weather looks like it's about to turn nasty and I need to head out to refill the banana bowl for DH. Decisions! :rotfl:

  • Morning all - last night's dinner turned into salmon with veg and roasted red pepper sauce...I'm just going to put the recipe here if anyone wants a go...it's really versatile...you can have it with salmon as we do or as a side with any meat or simply with pasta and a bit of grated cheese:

1 red onion fried in Frylight
    2 x tins toms
1 large jar roasted peppers in brine
chilli flakes (to taste...we like it spicy)
sweetner to make it as sweet as you like (to counteract the tomatoes)

Basically chuck everything in the pot and when it's heated through zizz with a hand blender. It's really tasty and I think I'm correct in saying free on SW.

If you had it with pasta you could throw some chicken (or turkey pieces) and some veggies in...when DH was veggie he just used to have it in pasta with grated cheese over the top and it's lovely.

    :)

Morning everyone! Trying to fight my urge to eat myself through this cold that doesn't want to shift! Got to about 4pm yesterday and was feeling ravenous but just didn't fancy any of the free food I had available. Tussled with my conscience and managed to wait an hour for dinner instead of hitting the cakes! I better get a good loss this week!

    Menu:

    B - 1 x hifi, activia, banana, clementine
    S - 1 x hifi (heb)
    L - LO chicken pasta (1/2 hea)
D - Chicken stuffed with laughing cow (1/2 hea) wrapped in bacon, sweet potato wedges, some kind of med veg mix, ff greek yoghurt, cherries, meringues (3)
    S - cheese curls (3), chocolate (7)

    2 syns left if needed

    Hi everyone

greentiger I'm sorry to hear about your little friend. She sounds like a real character!

Hugs to everyone struggling with colds and other ailments. I'm feeling a little run down, but really praying it's not going to develop into anything....

Been good-ish for 2 and a half days, last night I went to a friends for dinner and was served cheesy pasta bake and a slice of cheesecake, so not ideal but I'm hoping that if I'm virtuous for the rest of the week I'll be ok. I think I'm going to have to start taking my own dinner to these events (they're fortnightly), especially since I had a quite bad reaction to the pasta last night. ho hum.

I've managed to keep on top of making dinner and doing the washing up, and we've been eating at a reasonable time, but I don't know how long that will last. OH has been worse than useless, I got home late on Monday night and he was sitting on the sofa playing video games, asking if I'd been to the shops because there was no food in. I managed to scrape together a chickpea and cauliflower curry using a tub of Iceland curry sauce and he almost refused to eat it because it looked like vomit! It's really starting to wind me up that I'm struggling to come up with healthy, easy vegetarian meals so he can eat them and he's making no effort to help with planning, cooking or washing up afterwards. But I need to get over it, because thinking like this is not helpful for me, and it's not going to make a difference to his attitude. If I don't cook veggie stuff then he'll end up with pizza or toast which will be more temptation for me.

Thanks to whoever it was that posted about the Slimming Tracker app. I've been using that, plus I've charged up my Fitbit and signed up to Bounts too. I'm in the zone now! Off to get a soft drink and some popcorn from the canteen upstairs, which might keep me away from the sweetie jar at the end of the desk...hopefully!
