In the 12 weeks I am aiming to loose a stone.

My countdown only started on Monday night beanie - so we will see the next 12 week through together. Good luck xx

    STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS
  • Evening all. End of day 4 for me.
B - banana, apple, few chunks of melon. Tea, splash of semi skimmed.
L - sandwich made with HEB bread, chutney (1 syn) otherwise free stuff. Sachet of miso soup - (anyone know if these are free or not? 37 cals)
    Afternoon snack - satsuma
D home made veg & bean chilli with rice.

Breakfast is a challenge for me as the cafe where I'm working only cooks oily eggs & bacon! So I avoided them and consequently got hungry. Fruit isn't really enough when you've been up since 6! Maybe I shoukd spend some syns on porridge?
Could have had some syns this evening in the form of wine but didn't really feel like it and want to give my poor liver a rest!
  • Oh and I forgot to say - the whole point of writing that post.......doh!

    10lbs for my challenge please!
  • Hola, I'm home from a lovely sunny and warm Tenerife.
No weigh in until Wednesday morning so I've a little time to get back on track
    B banana and yog
L egg, sw chips and pickles
    D sw spaghetti bolognase
    Syns for Parmesan and biscuits
    Heb Alpen bars
    Hea milk
I'd like to set myself 7LBS for the next challenge - yup I'm still trying to shift that pesky half stone.

Did you encounter any snow whilst you were in Tenerife? My friend lives there and it had snowed last weekend :)

Miso soup has got syns - they vary depending on brand. If you have access to the SW website you can check there. If you haven't then if you post the nutritional info per 100g someone can check for you.

Attending an event in city centre for work tomorrow, and not too sure what to do about lunch - anyone have any recommendations for any low syn/syn free 'grab and go' type meals I might be able to pick up? (e.g. salad from M&S/sainsburys local) Only option I can think of at the minute is a subway salad, but last (and only) time I had one of these I was left feeling very underwhelmed...

I've had a quick look at the M&S and Sainsbury's lists on the site:
For M&S: 3 bean salad with mint 3.5, Edamame bean 2, King Prawn & noodles 2, Creamy Prawn Count on Us 4.5 or Sainsbury's 4 bean 2.5, Asian Stle Rice 4, Spicy Chicken Pasta 3.5 or Edamame & Butter Bean 3. They're about the lowest.

If you've got time to stop anywhere I'd recommend a jacket potato. Debenhams do a nice one with tuna. Or I like the Tuna Nicoise salad in Pret a Manger which is free until you add a dressing but it comes separately so I only use a drizzle. Or sometimes I just grab a pack of tikka chicken pieces or ham and make up for the Speed when I get home. HTH
  • Thanks so much Maman and Joedenise! I didn't realise the P stood for protein, I thought it was just short for SPeed - makes so much more sense now! :rotfl:

I don't think the new challenge has started yet but just for the record (and to ensure I'm eligible for SOTW next week ;)) I've lost 3lbs this week - Wk1 of being back on the wagon - very pleased with that. If I can lose another 3 next week then I'll be back at my lowest since starting SW in Sept which will be very motivational.
Rough plan for today is roast veg couscous for dinner and diet coke chicken with speed mash for tea. Haven't decided on porridge for breakfast or not yet... Have a good day all!

PS Rebster - let us know what you go for, always handy to know for days when I cba to prep anything for work! (Thanks for those suggestions Maman).

No we didn't although there was a few rain showers last weekend and Mt Tiede had a covering on it. Maybe you friend lives higher up than we went. We were staying on golf del sur.
