I am really struggling at the moment for various reasons.
Should I have one last bash & buy a 12 week countdown.
Or should I just have a break?
    Opinions please lovely peeps.

Delighted for losers – Tulip, HurdyGurdy, Arkers, Mavvers, orlao, lush, candyapple and b_e_g.

Oh, wow, HurdyGurdy, absolutely thrilled for your friend and her daughter. I wish them well for the road they have yet to travel.

I bow down before our SOTWs, BelsyBoop and HurdyGurdy.

I’m sending you a big hug, beanie.

Hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery from your op, Arkers.

Littlie sounds like she’s a right smart wee cookie, lush! You and OH must be very proud of her.

treeny-bash, you sound like you’re determined enough to turn things around; you’ve identified what’s gone wrong and why and you’re formulating a resolution. Go you!

Hello, Morello and gingerfurball, welcome to our (usually :p) happy band!

Well, I have well and truly thrown a spanner in my SW efforts this week! All was going well yesterday until DD asked if I was finishing up all the sweet stuff before I started on my Dechox next week. Well, I hadn’t even considered that – until then! And after that I ate all the chocolates left from my Valentine gift (a whole layer), several bags of fun size Maltesers, some shortbread …. Need I say more? It continued today too – and extended to include several savoury snacks, grrrr! Why on earth did I do that? I have managed to stop myself from devouring every sweet or savoury treat in the house but I want to! That was just plain daft! So I’m not revealing yesterday’s or today’s scandals. Thing is, I’m taking my friend out for her birthday lunch on Friday and I will be inclined to indulge along with her then. So now I’m in a bad starting place. And I am still hungry and I have a desire for something sweet.

Off to huff in a corner.:mad::mad:

Sorry to hear that Beanie, you've lost 8lbs in the challenge so you've still done well.

Can you carry on without class? Or would you have a total break from SW completely.

I guess it would depend if you were about to go completely wild and off the rails without class  then i'd say stay to try and keep yourself a bit on track..

I've weighed a day early today (this morning) as we had a workshop at work and they ordered pizza for lunch.. I've put on 1.5lb in 2 weeks :o so the total loss for the challenge is 4lb! That's actually one of my better results for a challenge :rotfl:

Right I better go get the new challenge ready for the new week!

I'll leave it on this thread as we're no where near the 5000 posts minimum yet...

If you are just joining us you may not be aware of the bi-monthly challenge that we run to motivate ourselves which you are welcome to join. It isn't a competition, just a way of setting ourselves mini targets if your total loss seems a bit overwhelming.

The new challenge will run from week commencing the 29th February and finish on the 1st May - this gives us 9 weeks.

If you wish to join in with us then please post your target loss for the 9 weeks in red* or bold or massive or all of the above so that I can see it really easily.

In the following weeks please let me know your results also in red* or bold or massive. I may miss your results unless you make it as easy as possible for me to see :D;)

I will post the results chart each week on a Monday showing the prior weeks losses and singling out the person who has lost the most so we can make a great big fuss over them :T

Any questions please let me know - it doesn't matter which day you get weighed just let me know your loss on the day you get weighed and i'll add it to the correct week (maybe, if I don't get confused!)

Hello Shala I would like to join the challenge please and I'd like to lose 10lbs by 1st May.

Hello everyone, and congratulations on your losses. I remember some of you from the challenge before Christmas. Unfortunately I gained all the weight I lost plus a couple of pounds more :(. This was mainly through cake consumption :rotfl:.

I joined Online SW last week as I was at the heaviest weight I've ever been. So far I've only lost 1lb. I'm aiming to lose 5 lbs in the next 10 days as I have a big event coming up. I'm thinking of trying Extra Easy SP. Does it work?

Overall, I'm hoping to get rid of 1 stone and a half by July. I'm sick of body shaming myself. I really want to do it this time and keep the weight off for good.

Evening all :) Welcome to those joining us; congrats to the latest set of losers; and hugs to all those struggling. Let's keep plodding on together!

I'm going to aim for a 9lb loss for the next challenge please Shala. 1lb a week which is hopefully achievable.

    Today looked like this:
Breakfast: blueberry wheats (heB) and strawberries
    Morning snacks: usual speed fruit
Lunch: asda snack pot (1.5 syns)
Afternoon snacks: alpen light (3 syns), clementines
    Dinner: speedy chicken teriyaki
Evening snacks: scan bran carrot cake (2.5 syns), walkers pop crisps (4 syns), treatsize chomp (3 syns), mullerlight
Drinks: tea/coffee with heA millk; water, NAS squash

Out for dinner at an Italian tomorrow evening with some friends - have had a look at the menu online and there are a couple of options which look fairly low syn so fingers crossed I'll stay on track!

I've been awol the last few days, mainly eating...... chocolate :o

Weigh in tomorrow and I am certain I haven't lost the last 5 lbs to meet my challenge  maybe 21lbs was too ambitious in 8 weeks

Can I say 14lbs for the upcoming challenge please Shala

I had a couple of really good weeks in the last challenge (my first) and getting SOTW was a MASSIVE boost to my confidence, and making me realise that yes, I can actually do this.

So I will take part in the next one, and as it is 9 weeks, I am going to go for a target of 18lbs Shala_moo

And thank you so much for all your efforts in monitoring everyone's progress and producing the chart each week. I am not a prolific poster (yet!) but I read everyone's post and feel inspired almost every day :)
  • Thanks for running the challenge Shala - I'm going to aim for 13lbs, which is about 1.5lbs a week.

    Today:
    B - Coffee x2 (A+2), porridge (A+B), raspberries, sweetener.
D - Bolognese and carrot batons
T - SW ready meal Paella (it was the nicest one I've tried so far!). I had three raw mushrooms while I waited for it being nuked - does that count for Speed?
Drinks and snacks - Herbal tea, coffee (1), apple, Jaffa Cake (2.5), hot chocolate (2)
    Total syns: 7.5

And I went for a 5 mile run tonight :A

I am accumulating a pile of fruit on my desk that I don't eat day by day - definitely going to try the banana and raspberry porridge as suggested above though :D

Bed for me, long day today and a long day awaits tomorrow...
